“Was visiting Mill Valley with friends and on a whim we decided to get our ears pierced. Walked in and was helped right away! Nicole was very helpful with all the jewelry and advice on placement. Eddy was so kind while performing the piercings. He went out of his way to bring mindfulness and incorporated deep breathing to make the experience positive. Both Nicole and Eddy made it a fun, smooth memorable experience. Would highly recommend!”
“So nice to have this store in the village! When you need a special gift for someone, or for yourself, this is the place! High quality pieces for home, as well as purses and jewelry. Not cheap but unique items that are worth it — and things do go on sale.”
“Wow… The pieces in here are so luxurious. Female owned business, with a passion for comfortable and beautiful goods. Handcrafted leather products, I got a shawl for my GF, and she loves it! They also have a store in SF on Filmore.”
“Makers Market feels like American craft went to Mill Valley, had a very good coffee, and came back slightly better dressed.
Inside, it’s all warm wood, soft light, and shelves that look effortless but clearly involved a great deal of thought. Milk bottle candles lined up like they behave, leather goods with quiet confidence, ceramics that make you reconsider the mugs you own at home.
What stands out is the restraint. It would be easy to lean into rustic theatre, but it doesn’t. No performance of authenticity, no heavy storytelling. Just well-made objects, placed with enough confidence to let you discover them at your own pace.
You come in for a look. You leave with something small, useful, and slightly more expensive than planned, and therefore obviously worth it.
A very Mill Valley outcome 🥳”
“Fantastic small boutique shop with a lot of great stylish clothes packed into a small space. Amazing customer service - the two store owners were super helpful and created a personal shopper experience for me, bringing me clothes to try that I otherwise wouldn't have looked at, and I ended up buying a lot of it!”
“I bought a sectional sofa made by Cisco Brothers from Summerhouse a little over a year ago. It was a big investment and the owner and sales lady made the experience easy and held my hand the whole way. I was able to get a brand new floor model without waiting many months to receive an order. I called and confirmed they had what I was looking for, but it wouldn't be arriving in the store for several days. They called me back when the piece had arrived and let me swing by to see it in the back before it was even out of the packing. They spent time going through the dimensions and orientation of the sofa, talked me though everything, and then offered for just the delivery fee to let me take it home and try it out. All in all a very pleasant experience and I will definitely be buying there again.”
“As I recall, West Elm used to be a place where college kids could get an upscale aesthetic for less. Now it's all grown up. I'll be buying a sofa there as soon as I can decide on fabric.”
“excellent customer service and beautiful selection of rugs. I was welcomed into the store and received extremely helpful and friendly assistance from everyone at Roja. They took the time to answer any questions and were very knowledgeable about their rugs :)”
