“The ladies here are absolutely beautiful wonderful and awesome and have the kindest souls. This store has almost every type of crystal and rock you can think of. From rocks to herbs and sage and candles to clothing and books. This is one of my most favorite stops in San Francisco on Haight st. The customer service and all around vibe in the store is wonderful. I recommend going here and I can almost guarantee you will come out of the store with a lifted attitude and spirit. There's also a space where you can sit and meditate! Super awesome!”

Our local furniture store carries Jonathan Louis furniture but for some reason could not secure the one we wanted. We’re thankful to Richard for making it happen all the way across the country. “Inga was a great help in selecting fixtures for an entire home while we were preparing it for sale last year. She made what could have been an overwhelming task so much easier, with her expert suggestions. I know from experience there is a lot that can go wrong with selecting light fixtures... from not enough light, to wrong scale, and more. Inga kept us from making costly mistakes, and the project turned out great. The customer service was excellent, and there's nothing like being able to see the actual fixtures in person at the store before you order them. Inga helped us pick out at least 12 sets of lights, and we didn't have to return or change any of them. When a glass shade was broken for one of the fixtures, she got us a replacement quickly. I highly recommend using Inga's design services. For a larger project like ours, she might visit your site in person. Otherwise, you will need to send her photos.”

“Excellent experience with repairing my lamp. I was given very helpful advice on repairing the lamp and purchasing a shade. I could not have known what to do or choose without the help of the staff. They were very easy to talk to. They knew just the right questions to ask to help me make my decisions. I was very pleased on the quick turn around for the repair and the very reasonable price. I highly recommend them. I would use them again for any of my lamp purchases or repairs.”

“Yesterday, my husband and I stopped by Yury's to see if he could replace the cord on an old Hollywood Regency/Chinoiserie accordion fan lamp. I had accidentally dropped a heavy water bottle on it, breaking the cord in half. Yury was very friendly and helpful, and he was transparent about pricing. His estimate for just replacing the cord was so reasonable that we also decided to have him update the lightbulb socket and add velvet underneath the lamp to prevent it from scratching our furniture. He completed all the work in under three hours, and we picked it up later in the afternoon. I would definitely recommend him to my friends and plan to bring in another old lamp to have the wiring updated.”

I was specifically shopping at the mens store across the street, and they have higher quality items than most thrift / consignment stores. Lot's of cool items, not just clothes.

“10/4/2024: I'd been looking forward to visiting Succulence for months, ever since my plant collection exploded with a particular fondness for succulents. I happened to be in the Bernal Heights neighborhood, so decided to finally check them out. Unfortunately, when I arrived I discovered a karate school at the address listed for Succulence. A lady inside told me they had been closed since sometime in June.
The owners have responded to other comments, stating that despite the closure of their brick and mortar store you can still contact them regarding workshops and other events. Closing a business is incredibly difficult, and I'm glad to hear they're still up and running (even if it's at a reduced capacity). To those leaving negative reviews because they arrived to find the store closed: stop. For you it's a minor inconvenience, but for the owners it's so much more. That said, it would be helpful if they added a banner on the website's homepage letting customers know the physical store closed. I wish them the best with their future ventures, and hope I get the opportunity to visit another Succulence location someday.”

“One of the best Incense vendors in USA. Seriously. They have very high quality incense, especially for people who don’t like the incense because it’s ‘Smokey’ - that’s because most incense sold is low quality.
The lady who runs the store guides you through the collection and has great tips on how to get the best out of incense.
Great for gifts as many of the products have lovely packaging.
One of the best finds when in San Francisco.”

“We have been working with Ruth for the past 10 months on our last remodel. She has given us excellent direction on layouts, wallpaper, paint, tile, design features, upholstery, furniture products, lamps, etc. She has driven from Marin County to Contra Costa County numerous times for on-site meetings. She is always available to answer our questions and to give advice. My husband and I have different opinions on what we like in almost everything and Ruth has smoothly guided us through the process of selecting comfortable colors all over our house. The last time that we did any redecorating/remodeling was in 2005. She has seamlessly guided us through our 2026 project. Ruth is expensive. However, we have had the highest quality service in everything. I would recommend hiring Ruth for small or large projects. She is worth every penny!! P.S. Will post other features when the remodel is completed sometime this spring.”
