Motel 6 Modesto, CA - Downtown offers a mixed experience for guests. On the positive side, the rooms are described as spotless, quiet, and comfortable, providing a restful night's sleep. The housekeeping staff, particularly Blancia, are praised for being polite, friendly, and respectful, never touching or taking guests' personal belongings. The front desk staff and manager Nick are also noted for providing excellent, friendly service. One guest even received a free room upgrade to accommodate a special need. However, the motel's location is considered by locals to be in a bad neighborhood, with concerns about outside calls to rooms. There have also been issues with the transfer from the front desk to the rooms not working properly, resulting in missed calls. Furthermore, one guest had a very negative experience, reporting that their room was given to someone else without permission, and that the employees stole a significant amount of their personal belongings. Overall, Motel 6 Modesto, CA - Downtown seems to provide a decent budget-friendly accommodation option for some guests, with highlights including the cleanliness of the rooms and the friendly, helpful staff. But the location and security concerns, as well as the reported theft incident, suggest that potential guests should exercise caution and carefully consider their needs and priorities when booking a stay.
