1438 Princeton Avenue, ModestoOh my gosh. 5 star isn’t even come close to what / how I want to leave a review. I called and the owner Lisa told me to bring our pit in right away that needed a nail trim in the worst possible case.
Upon arriving she greeted us outside and said bring her in ( Mary Jane ) our big Ol baby.
No lecture or criticism or “well she made need something for anxiety etc etc. this is after making several other calls to those kind of businesses that say that.
I held our dog and I’m telling you. In less than five minutes she was done. I was the one with the highest anxiety and Lisa put that to rest with her compassion and professionalism. I cannot say thank you enough. This place is now our “Go to” hands down.

Bark'n Beauties Pet Grooming
3020 Floyd Avenue Ste 321, ModestoJustin, the cat groomer, is amazing. I've been helping this community cat for awhile now and a few months ago I found her in a real bad state. She had poo down her backside and I noticed she had matted fur all along her underside. I was really struggling finding a cat groomer, especially one that'd take a cat in this state. Justin was able to work her into his schedule and even got her finished within the hour so she didnt have to stay there for too long. I want to highlight that I asked Justin to not clip her nails since she was still an outside cat at that time which he had no problem with.
I took her back to him again this week since we discovered she will need dental extractions we have taken her in. She is having trouble cleaning herself because of her mouth pain so we asked him to shave her as much as possible to help us keep her clean. She looks a little silly but I can tell Justin takes good care of her. She acts normal after picking her up from there and he even was able to brush her teeth for us.
**I don't know what Justin's policy is but just as an FYI for anyone else taking in community cats, this cat was vaccinated, treated with flea medicine monthly, and is not feral.

Staff is compassionate, calming, reassuring, professional, understanding of our sadness, this process, and the grieving. We have a private cremation for Luke. The selection of urn choices is nice. Isabelle is the BEST. She is a kind soul - I asked a special favor, and Isabelle provided my heart with comfort during this most difficult time in my life. Luke is the best boy ever, my sweet sweet Luke, my pooh bear, Sir Luke, Cool Hand Luke, Luke bear, my companion, my best friend. We had 13 years together, and 130 years would have been insufficient. I lay on the floor with Luke and listened to his struggling, labored breaths and knew we were helping him, not letting him suffer, keeping him comforted. Luke was not alone; I am writing my love letter to My Luke and putting together a photo album. These were the best 13 years of my life. There will never be another My Luke. I will always remember you, Luke. I will always talk to you, Luke. I can take you camping and have you in every room of our house. Right beside me, where you always were. My velcro dog, my shadow, my greeter, treat hound, attention hound, no matter where in the house I was he was here also. I prayed for Luke to go in his sleep so I did not have to make this terrible decision. G-d; however, knew what I needed and I was allowed one last snuggle with Luke, one last ear rub with Luke, one last belly rub with Luke. Thank you G-d every day for the gift of Luke in my life. I will miss EVERYTHING about you my sweet sweet boy.

So when my mother in law passed away and we were left with her 5 years ago old border collie mix that she had loved on but never trained we knew exactly where to take him. Caity was amazing and helped transform him from distracted, aggressive, protective, anxious to just the most chill dog out on a walk in the neighborhood. He passes strangers and other dogs and yards with dogs barking at the fence and he doesn’t bark, he doesn’t lunge, it’s just phenomenal. Night and day difference. Caity is a miracle worker and really compassionate and helpful throughout a very difficult and emotional situation.

I scheduled a tour with Dawson, and the facilities were spotless. I really appreciate their clear policies and procedures because it gave me confidence knowing my dogs would be safe and well cared for.
When drop-off day came, my dogs happily went with him into the kennel with no hesitation. When I picked them up, I could tell they’d been treated with love and attention.
I won’t hesitate to return! I’m already planning another trip in the spring and will definitely be booking their stay again. And even though price doesn’t matter as much to me when considering who I can trust with my babies, they were the most affordable in our area and were recommended to me by a couple of friends. Now I know why!!!!

They have the usual selection of sodas plus 2 flavors from Tractor.
