“During these grueling times of gas prices going beyond anything I would've ever expected, I stumbled upon this gas station (few weeks ago) late in the evening with a gas price for diesel at $5.54 a gallon. I was on empty so every penny was going to count. At the time, the cheapest was at about $6.54 a gallon. So, finding this gem of a price was heaven sent. While pumping gas, I was taken by surprise by a woman, as she was returning to her van after pumping her gas. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that she was hollering at the top of her lungs...." THE CHEAPEST GAS! THE CHEAPEST GAS!" I thought it was the funniest thing but it just goes to show you what joy this gas station brought to those that night. Thank you!”

“I only visited this Chevron one time to purchase gasoline during an overnight stop in Monterey. I found the price at this Chevron was quite a bit higher than stations I just passed up the road in both directions within an hour before my visit. But I still paid the price because it had pay at the pump, and was adjacent to the Black Bear Diner where I was about to have a bite to eat.The pumps seemed clean. The windshield wash station had washer fluid and squeegee. Although the pump would not pump very fast without automatically shutting off. That might have been the vapor recovery system not sealing tight enough.And more importantly than anything else. The pump actually printed out my receipt and I didn't have to walk inside anyway after paying at the pump. Most gas stations in California have made me walk inside for my receipt. It was great to see this Chevron didn't feel the need to p!$$ me off by making me walk into the store. Speaking of the store. I cannot comment on the store itself. Although the outside looked pretty clean. That is normally a good sign. I gave this Chevron four stars because it gave me a receipt, and was clean. The higher prices and a pump that keep shutting off wasn't very good. But it's still a lot better than most gas stations that I visited since traveling around California the last couple of weeks.”

“I've been going to 76 since late 2019. I want to let management know that Sarah, who works the late shift, has been an absolute pleasure to talk to. She says hi, remembers me, is polite and friendly, even on the late shift which is not an easy shift to work with all traffic from the hotel and general customers. She is polite and patient and I've seen her be kind to the homeless folks as they grab a quick item and leave. It is customer service that keeps people coming back and I hope 76 remembers that they have a good employee in Sarah.”

“Good price (for the location) and convenience, always with clean washer fluid and good squeegees, clean property. Working air pump when I've used it.Would be 5 star, but I think they could come down on price just a hair. Then again, Monterey doesn't have a lot of gas stations, so they kinda got you there.”

“Cheapest gas in the area. Pumps had a tap reader making credit card payment very fast. The windshield cleaner was filled and soapy instead of just being dirty water like most other stations.”

“Excellent customer service and support for your car needs. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the military community that has a valid and current DOD access. Came in for tires and oil and you need to prepay for the tires and then after you can schedule a service for installation and oil change service. The inside has a wide variety of car care products along with if you would rather do it yourself oil change since they have the quarts on the side. Called ahead to schedule a service was able to choose a date along with inputting the rewards number. Good to know if you have one! To keep track of all the points for rewards. They also back their service with warranty!”
“Every time I go I get good customer service, everything is clean organized, they have a bathroom inside and some parking in front of the gas pumps they have a lot of snacks for the road a little bit of icecream, the water to clean the windshields is not that dirty.”
