“Excellent location right on the water with an amazing view of Morro Rock. The room was very large with a large shower, fireplace and a chess table we used for a game night. Restaurants were a short walk today. Served coffee and mini muffins in the lobby in the morning. Highly recommended!”

“We had a wonderful stay here! Late check-in was a breeze—they made it super easy and stress-free. The free on-site parking was a great perk, and we really appreciated the complimentary breakfast in the morning. The rooms were quiet, clean, and just two blocks from the water, which made it easy to enjoy the charm of Morro Bay. We especially loved the family suite with two separate bedrooms and adjoining bathrooms—it was perfect for giving everyone space while still staying connected. Would definitely stay again!”

“We enjoy the inn very much. Nice location friendly owners! We just visited for our anniversary. Our silver anniversary, 25 years! I love thé set up and I love the location. It's quiet generally and it's right on the water looking out at boats and people watching. The kitchen has most things needed pots, pans, dishes utensils coffee maker etc. We love to cook and have meals out on the deck while watching the water and the sailboats. There is a kayak/boat rental next door and we enjoyed taking a kayak out also. We road our bikes and we were able to keep them on the deck. Walking distance from shops and restaurants. Great spot for a 7 night stay away from the stress of our jobs. It's like going to a second home. The bed is super cozy and the couch is a pull out also. Couch although a pull out very comfy. We walked and purchased lobster tails and had a romantic evening on the deck. The inn is a smaller one, meaning, only 4 rooms/apartments, but it doesn't lack charm. There are plenty of towels blankets pillows and well privacy. We have gone to this location several times and it does not disappoint! Thank you Grays Inn for yet another wonderful anniversary, we will be back.”

“We love this little gem!!! Spacious room, large bed, very clean, ceramic in-room mugs, a desk for me to work on my laptop, modern bathroom and sink, good hair dryer and best of all a fridge for my favorite food items! Location is walking distance from many cafes, restaurants and the Moro Bay itself!”

“Nice newly renovated rooms just steps from the water. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Even though we arrived after the office closed, we were about to get keys easily and check in the next morning.

Rooms are nice, with a comfortable, newly renovated feel, and solid amenities.”

“We have been coming to La Serena Inn since 2012. The location is primo. It's located one block from the Morro Bay Embarcadero, Dorn's Restaurant and walking distance from the Morro Bay Rock.
The hotel has has a couple renovations and has recently been acquired by new owners. To our delight the the 2nd floor is still pet friendly, the prices have remained reasonable and the hotel is super clean.
We highly recommend staying at La Serena Inn in Morro Bay.”

“Best service I have gotten from a hotel in a very long time. Every person was friendly. Natalie and Harry went above and beyond. Thank you for making our stay the best experience”

“Giving it five stars for location mostly. Very close to the shops and restaurants and there's just enough parking, but I would leave my car there and just walk because the lot became full around 8 PM and I saw a couple cars waiting for a parking spot to open. Rooms did smell musty, but with the AC running that helped. Shower stall was a bit cramped.”

“Such a wonderful stay at the Landing! Very clean, cozy, comfortable (best pillows), friendly staff and kid friendly! We were very pleased with our stay. And will stay in the future.”

“It was such a great experience. From the front desk to check out. The service, the rooms, and the cleanliness were spot on. Wish we could have stayed another day. This will be our to-go hotel in future trips to Morro Bay.”

“Wife and I spent a night there. Really no major complaints. Room was spotless. The grounds were kept clean (not that there's much of one except the parking lot). And they remembered the little touches like a squeegee left in the parking lot to clean the morning mist off your windshield so common in Morro.

The lack of a small shelf in the shower to set my shaving cream and body wash on was a minor inconvenience and the doors from adjacent rooms slam a bit loudly. But overall, a great place to stay.

A little spendy. But hey. You get what you pay for. The gym also isn't all that well equipped. Would work in a pinch I suppose. But I doubt working out is high on peoples priority list. Especially since most people do a lot of walking around when in town.

Would stay again. Recommended.”

“Not a bad place to stay. The rooms were very clean and not that far from the rock. It's across the street from a great breakfast/brunch Cafe. It's not my favorite hotel in Morro, but it's still a great place to stay with a great price!! You dont get a view of the rock like the picture might suggest. But you can get a view of the rock if you walk onto the street/sidewalk, just not from your room.

Our shower was pretty large and beautifully redone.

Parking lot is tight.

They do offer free wifi!”

“This Inn is good place too stay. We are happy to report that it has a roll in shower with bench, very clean and quiet accessible room. Nothing fancy, with an extraordinary view of Morrow Rock. We are very grateful to have an accessible room. Microwave, dorm refrigerator that works and makes no noise.
Accessible parking spaces next to accessible room.

Front desk staff are gracious, kind, helpful.”

“Super friendly lady working the office couldn’t get ahold of us so she made sure we had a key. We got held up and were super late getting into Morro Bay. We will be back here again! Hotel is nice and great location.”

“Stayed here while working remotely and had a fantastic experience. Coffee was always available at reception, which was a nice touch. I especially appreciated being able to settle into a big, comfortable chair by the fireplace for early morning calls—quiet, peaceful, and with beautiful sunrise views.

The staff were helpful throughout, and the room was clean and comfortable. A great spot for both work and relaxation. I’ll definitely be staying again.”

“Great view of the rock and stacks. Some rooms have a jacuzzi tub, others have a balcony. The roof top deck is a great improvement and the remodeled rooms are nicely done. 302 is still my favorite. Allison is the best! Thanks to all the staff for another lovely stay.

Nearby activities: Tara's has great finds and the coffee bar has very good pastries. Lots of restaurants and sights to see. Stop at Paula Ratke's studio for art glass.”
