Churchill Manor is a historic Victorian mansion located in Napa, California, known for its beautiful architecture and rich history. Built in 1889 by Edward Bell Churchill, it showcases elaborate Queen Anne-style details, such as stained-glass windows, intricate woodwork, and a wraparound veranda. Once the largest residence in Napa Valley, the mansion was home to the Churchill family for generations and played a significant role in the area's history, being the first property in Napa listed on the National Register of Historic Places. After falling into disrepair, it was restored and transformed into a luxury bed-and-breakfast that maintains its historic charm with period furnishings and elegant decor. Today, Churchill Manor is a highly recommended boutique hotel that offers guests a comfortable and welcoming stay. Visitors praise the friendly and accommodating hosts, Joanna and Brian, who go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience. The property is beautifully maintained, with large, well-decorated rooms and lovely grounds. Guests can enjoy gourmet breakfasts with multiple options each day, along with cookies, wine, and snacks. Its close proximity to downtown Napa makes it a perfect base for exploring the area’s restaurants and attractions. Many visitors highlight the serene courtyard with a fountain as an ideal setting for special events like small weddings, where the peaceful ambiance and thoughtful consideration, such as respecting wedding ceremonies during nearby construction, stand out. Overall, Churchill Manor is celebrated for its historic significance, warm hospitality, and charming environment, making it a favorite choice for travelers seeking a memorable Napa experience.
Everyone at the end was very accommodating and welcoming. They were able to accommodate dietary restrictions, very easily and graciously. Highly recommend! Will definitely plan to stay at this bed-and-breakfast again
