“Great place to shop for kids clothes, baby supplies, and children’s books. Store is quite clean and organized. It doesn’t smell like a resale store. If you look at the reviews you will see almost all the low ratings are from sellers. I actually am glad that this store is very picky on what they accept from sellers- it keeps up the quality in the store and you don’t have to sort through junk.”

“It's a shame that the American Cancer Society Discovery Shop has since closed down after being here in Fremont for over 25 years. I've been to this store multiple times, and even at their previous location in Irvington before they moved to this location in the Gateway Plaza. They always had stuff here for sale at reasonable prices and the staff here were very welcoming and friendly. It's sad that they are now closed. Shame on upper management for not giving this store a heads up that they had planned to close it. The owner of the shop had stated that they were given no prior notice that the store would be closing, therefore, could not do anything to try to save the shop location or find a new location. This place will be missed. The staff and volunteers will also be missed for their hard work and dedication over the years running the shop.”

“The new store moved to a smaller location opposite on the street of the original store. I have purchased items from the previous store and I enjoyed the space they had there. The new store feels less airy and the lights are not the best. So I was first quite stressed looking around or even stepping into the new space. Despite all this the team is really doing the best service from the helpful lady taking in my consignment items to Erica who helped me with my bag purchase. It is a beautiful bag for a memorable occasion in my marriage. Erica was very helpful to locate the bag and she let me try it on and check all the details you can't see online from that few photos and scarce description. So the exceptional personal service of the team working at the physical store really making up for the company's problematic aspects (bad store space renting decisions, lack of proper item descriptions online and white overexposed photos). After deciding on the bag I wanted my husband to see it but because of the street party outside we couldn't find any parking space in the area. Erica was really kind and told me to come back later and she was going to keep the bag on hold for us. This did the magic and after having some food and finding a suitable parking spot we were able to purchase the bag with Erica's assistance. I am grateful for the lovely experience, thank you Erica!”
