“Appreciate this place and these folks for what they do. Brought a baby squirrel last year that fell from a tree during squirrel season and came back this year, but as a volunteer. It was nice to meet everyone but also to be able to help in their mission!”
“RedRover is a lifesaver .They truly care about keeping animals healthy and happy.. My girl Felisha was in so much pain. Felisha is a 12 yr old Chihuahua. She was needing some teeth extracted, a mass removed and to be spayed. I was a wreak. Not knowing how i would pay for all her medical needs. I was lost beyond belief.
RedRover stepped up and helped us out with the emergency care she needed.
God Bless RedRover”
“I stopped by Deer Creek Farm by Compassion Planet looking for a few small gifts for friends — and ended up discovering so much more! The shop is full of thoughtful, unique finds, but the real showstopper was the pumpkin patch. They did such an amazing job making it look absolutely beautiful — every corner felt picture-perfect and full of fall charm. You can tell how much heart and care goes into everything they do here. A true Rocklin gem that I can’t wait to visit again! ?”
“I'm a crafter and I am so excited to see this store. A lot of my craft stuff comes from Dollar Tree or thrift stores and the selection is not the business. So, try this store, they have everything you could want and more. John is very helpful and nice. They also have classes for kids and adults.”
“Broad Room is a great place to donate new and unfinished art supplies including yarn, fabric, paint, and more. They do a really great job with redistributing supplies for free. You can sign up for an appointment to shop for free supplies or donate or both. Appointments take a little time to schedule because the whole place is volunteer run. Volunteer if you can, this place is a gem in Sacramento!”
“Went here for the Sac Sheriff's Posse Crab Feed Fundraiser. It was decent. Clean. Hard to hear & carry a conversation but the main hall was filled w roughly 500 people so i didn't expect itd be quiet or anything. The girls did an excellent job serving the tables.”
“We've been members of this church for a year now. We love the preaching, love the community, the people. Kids ministry is amazing, great events. I love this church.”
“I absolutely love to donate here. I love how they help those in need. Showers, clean clothes, food, etc. If you want to donate to a great genuine charity definitely donate here.”
“SBK is the best. The staff are always so incredibly wonderful, I can't speak highly enough of the people there and the absolutely crucial service they provide to the community.”
“We were in town and came for the Saturday market. We had breakfast pastries that were incredible. Ham and cheese croissant was well done but the potato croissant stole the show. So frekin good. Had a great time walking the grounds on a beautiful day!”
“Wow! I was recommended this place by one of the volunteers, Sylvia and I am SO happy she did. This is one of the nicest, upscale thrift stores in the area. They have amazing quality items, including vintage pieces. I was lucky to go on a day where they were having 50% off sale on all clothes and shoes. I will definitely be back!”

Im sure they see some scary stuff with kids. Thanks to all who give to this Charity. (FYI its not free unless you cant pay the $20 a night)”
“I had such a meaningful and uplifting experience with Mary House, and I truly felt called to share my gratitude. From the moment I arrived, I was met with kindness, warmth, and genuine care.
I especially want to recognize Lynn, who works there. She was incredibly helpful to me during a time when I really needed support. Her patience, compassion, and willingness to go the extra mile made a lasting impact on me. She didn’t just do her job she showed real heart and understanding, and that meant everything.
Mary House is a place where you can feel safe, seen, and supported, and Lynn is a big part of that. I’m so thankful for the experience and the kindness I received. It truly made a difference in my life.
Thank you again for everything.”

“Awesome gym- this used to be one of the most high-end gyms in Sacramento. It has vintage Mediterranean charm. Outdoor pool, 2 saunas, steam room, hot tub. Racketball and basketball courts. It is a great gym and very inexpensive.”
“We played Sierra View CC on Wednesday, December 12th, and my goodness the course was in immaculate shape. Greens rolled fast and true, fairways were lush and green. The course is well irrigated with proper drainage. Almost no standing water, and the bunkers were in tip top shape after the rain. Tee boxes were flat and level. The course played unbelievably fair and well. A true test for tee shots and the ability to get the ball back into play.”
“Great to start my weekend here with family, friends & Summer photos. The smells the colors, the layout, perfect. ❤️ Bonus, shaded parking, kid's playground and library. Gorgeous park, just behind.”
“This serene park offers a tranquil escape with its easy walking trail, expansive open field, and scenic river access (no lifeguard). Peacocks freely roam the grounds, adding to the natural beauty. The rustic wooden event hall hosts special occasions, and the small picnic area with a wooden stage is perfect for gatherings. The park is peaceful, clean, and well-maintained, making it an ideal spot to relax. Free entry, free parking!
Sidenote: Outside of Camp Pollock, there is a nearby area with homeless, the park itself appeared to be well-maintained and free of any visible issues.”

“If you’re a woman trying to rebuild, rediscover, or reclaim your life, this program can be a turning point. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to have been part of something so meaningful. The staff here are really angels sent from heaven. The space is safe and there are many resources that if they don’t have the answer(which they probably do, they will go about making sure which direction to point you in the community to get you the help you need. They are there to help you”
“They have a food bank 6 days a week and serve lunch on Friday and breakfast on Sunday. Great people that give there time here. Never downers always smiling and making you feel welcome here.”
“This place is great. They give you high quality food (not nearly expired throw aways) at great portions. However, it is only once a month which its only drawback. Less food and once per week would be better. The lines are also very long averaging between 60-70 mins to ensure safety/logistics within their limited staff. The lady at the front can appear rude expecting you to know it all on your first day but she has a good heart. However, I have received conflicting instructions. They still deserve 5 stars because they are the best food bank in all of Sacramento. They are fairly organized and serve everyone based on time you arrived. They do require IDs and will refuse any repeats in any one month.”
“I had to surrender my cat to Fat Kitty City Humane Society. This was a very difficult decision for me however I knew when I arrived and met with Christine that I had made the right decision.
The staff and volunteers provide pure dedication and love to their cats which makes this a very special place and gives these kitties a chance to live a great life in beautiful surroundings.
Thank you, Christine, the owners, the staff, volunteers and the vet who provided special care to Bella. She will forever live in my heart, and I will always be grateful to this amazing organization for giving my girl a chance to live the rest of her life surrounded by caring individuals and other kitties.”
“Musiclandria has everything that a musician looking to start up their art, and thr staff is always willing and wanting to help! I've wanted to learn banjo, and they didnt have one in, so a community call was put out and someone donated a wonderful banjo within a day or two!
They also hosted a show for my band Future Flowers, and had so much fun! Cant recommend enough!”
“Both of my kids have gone here, my son until age 2 and now my daughter, who just started. She's only been there two weeks and has already adjusted so well, which really speaks to how caring and attentive the staff is.
The staff retention is incredible (many have been there for decades), and you can tell they genuinely love the kids. They provide nutritious meals, diapers and wipes, and even wash sleep items, which is such a huge help.
It's an unassuming place, but I truly can't think of a better spot for your babies. I just wish they went through TK!”
“Wren is OUTSTANDING! He helped me pick out these stones. They were heavy and large and hard for me to pick up. Wren was happy to lift them, and load them in my vehicle. He is always great when I come in. I came in everyday for a week and he loaded them each day with zero issues.”
“They've helped me tremendously. From support to doctors bills and complex paperwork and have groups throughout the day and lots of resources and resources you need housing to food”
