“RedRover is a lifesaver .They truly care about keeping animals healthy and happy.. My girl Felisha was in so much pain. Felisha is a 12 yr old Chihuahua. She was needing some teeth extracted, a mass removed and to be spayed. I was a wreak. Not knowing how i would pay for all her medical needs. I was lost beyond belief.
RedRover stepped up and helped us out with the emergency care she needed.
God Bless RedRover”
“The staff were all helpful, friendly and caring from the moment I checked-in, left my fur baby with the medical assistant in the morning to picking her up in the afternoon.”
“Broad Room is a great place to donate new and unfinished art supplies including yarn, fabric, paint, and more. They do a really great job with redistributing supplies for free. You can sign up for an appointment to shop for free supplies or donate or both. Appointments take a little time to schedule because the whole place is volunteer run. Volunteer if you can, this place is a gem in Sacramento!”
“Not much to see, or very big. Be prepared for an hour if you stretch it. More little children. A train ride, and mary-go-round are nice touches. $23 adults, $22 seniors”
“I absolutely love to donate here. I love how they help those in need. Showers, clean clothes, food, etc. If you want to donate to a great genuine charity definitely donate here.”

“This serene park offers a tranquil escape with its easy walking trail, expansive open field, and scenic river access (no lifeguard). Peacocks freely roam the grounds, adding to the natural beauty. The rustic wooden event hall hosts special occasions, and the small picnic area with a wooden stage is perfect for gatherings. The park is peaceful, clean, and well-maintained, making it an ideal spot to relax. Free entry, free parking!
Sidenote: Outside of Camp Pollock, there is a nearby area with homeless, the park itself appeared to be well-maintained and free of any visible issues.”

“If you’re a woman trying to rebuild, rediscover, or reclaim your life, this program can be a turning point. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to have been part of something so meaningful. The staff here are really angels sent from heaven. The space is safe and there are many resources that if they don’t have the answer(which they probably do, they will go about making sure which direction to point you in the community to get you the help you need. They are there to help you”
“Musiclandria has everything that a musician looking to start up their art, and thr staff is always willing and wanting to help! I've wanted to learn banjo, and they didnt have one in, so a community call was put out and someone donated a wonderful banjo within a day or two!

“I recommend this place for everyone. My wife signed up my grandson for swimming lessons. The instructors were great. The people that work there respectable. The people behind the desk very informative. ?. I definitely recommend this YMCA. Young and old. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Enjoy ?”
“Wren is OUTSTANDING! He helped me pick out these stones. They were heavy and large and hard for me to pick up. Wren was happy to lift them, and load them in my vehicle. He is always great when I come in. I came in everyday for a week and he loaded them each day with zero issues.”
“Both of my kids have gone here, my son until age 2 and now my daughter, who just started. She's only been there two weeks and has already adjusted so well, which really speaks to how caring and attentive the staff is.
The staff retention is incredible (many have been there for decades), and you can tell they genuinely love the kids. They provide nutritious meals, diapers and wipes, and even wash sleep items, which is such a huge help.
It's an unassuming place, but I truly can't think of a better spot for your babies. I just wish they went through TK!”
“The largest regional food bank in Sacramento. This organization has been serving the community since 1976 and will soon celebrate its 50th anniversary: check out my photos for the QR code and anniversary details!
I came here to volunteer, and to my surprise, there were even younger kids participating. I learned that the minimum volunteer age is 10 years old. Some students were volunteering for school service hours, while others came through different companies and organizations.
We joined the second shift from 1pm–4pm. The session started shortly after 1pm with a briefing and task assignments from the group leader. All tasks were explained clearly. The leaders checked on us throughout the shift to make sure we were doing okay and to see if anyone had concerns.
Halfway through the shift, we had a 15-minute break, and one of the leaders brought ice cream to celebrate a volunteer’s birthday and shared it with everyone. I thought it was a meaningful way to celebrate a birthday while helping a good cause.
We actually finished around 3:30pm, and our shift completed:
- 5,451 lbs of food packed
- 474 boxes prepared
for the “No Student Goes Hungry” program supporting students from elementary school through college in Sacramento County.
Everyone was very friendly and accommodating, and the facility was clean and organized.
Restroom: clean, bright, and decent.
If you are interested in volunteering, check out their website and register in advance.”
“If you were to look up the meaning of “diamond in the rough” you would find a picture of this facility. You couldn’t ask for better staff that truly care for the children. We are extremely fortunate that we came across this place and couldn’t be more happy that we made the decision to enroll our little one.”
“I recently had the privilege of volunteering with Troopathon, and I can’t say enough about the incredible work this nonprofit does! Troopathon is dedicated to sending care packages to our brave troops stationed overseas, and it’s truly heartwarming to see the impact they make. As a volunteer, I witnessed firsthand the care and thoughtfulness that goes into every package—filled with essentials, snacks, and little touches of home that mean so much to our service members. The team is passionate, organized, and deeply committed to supporting our troops. It’s an honor to be part of such a meaningful mission. If you’re looking for a way to give back, Troopathon is a 5-star organization that truly makes a difference!”
“Society for the Blind is a wonderful, caring and compassionate organization, that does important and relevant work in serving the blind and low vision people of all ages. Thank you!”
“I have a 9 month old baby girl and I was in need of diapers and formula. I have been struggling recently. The community suggested this Sacramento Life Center. I looked at the website briefly, and was a little afraid that this was an anit-abortion clinic and a heavily based religious clinc. I went online, made an inquiry and I received an email and phone back by the next day. They were super friendly on the phone and I was able to get an appointment quickly. The place is very nice and clean. I was worried that alot of people would be there but there was no one else waiting. I signed some paperwork. They got me to the back very quick as well. I spoke with T first. She was super kind and made my little happy. She helped me with a ton of resources which is exactly what I needed. They also helped me with a little welcome bag which was incredibly helpful and was able to get my needs met. I almost cried lol. Then I spoke with Erin, the NP on-site. She was informative about groups I was looking for. She was amazing as well. She was very welcoming like I could talk to her about anything. This place does have resources for people who are religious but idk think it matters what you are here. I'm not pregnant nor do I plan to be ever again so idk if this place is anti-abortion but they helped me. They staff was great and I would recommend but if you have doubts, ask.”

“Was really great to celebrate my Uncle' s (R.I.P.) ascension to heaven. I know he was smiling down from heaven at all of his family coming together to honor his memory.”
“Appreciate this place and these folks for what they do. Brought a baby squirrel last year that fell from a tree during squirrel season and came back this year, but as a volunteer. It was nice to meet everyone but also to be able to help in their mission!”
