“The Garland is the nicest, cleanest hotel we've ever stayed at in LA—everything was spotless and felt so fresh and welcoming. The staff was phenomenal: warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful from check-in to checkout. They made our whole stay feel special. I loved the retro Hollywood vibe—it's charming, unique, and so much fun. The rooms were really nice, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The complimentary trolley to Universal Studios was a total game-changer—super convenient, ran on time, and dropped us right at the entrance. If you're heading to Universal or just want a standout spot in the area, The Garland is perfect. We can't wait to return.”

“Room was clean and very well put together. The shower and bathtub wete huge and the tub had jets snd the beds were more comfortable than any other hotel room i ever stayed at. Snother bonus for me was the hardwood floors🤩. Carpeted hotels gross me out.”

“SOK its missin more flat screen tvs but other then that? This place is quiet, helpful friendly staff, clean. And privacy is very natural, no one invades your life but only to greet zzz”

“3-star Best Western Plus is my personal standard of care, but I wanted a motel near the airport so I stayed here for one night with my wife. It was less than 10 minutes to the rental car return building. We stayed in room 302 on 05/02/2026. Checking in and out was easy. The young man at the front desk was very polite and pleasant as if working at a 5 star hotel. This branch looked a little dated all over, but thanks to the housekeeping staff our room was extremely clean. The bed was comfortable and I slept through the night like a baby. Added value: I made my own fresh waffle for breakfast. They had hard-boiled eggs, ham omelets, DYI oat cereal, juices, and coffee. That is $20 per person value. This is a 2 star hotel but it deserves a 5 star rating in it's class. The only issue is street noise until about 10 pm as our room faced the street. There was a big party at the entrance. I notified the front desk, and the drum stopped. The immediate neighbor seems to be an industrial area, and it is not a place to walk around. Parking spaces were on the ground floor, under the rooms, passing the front office, so it was safe. I would definitely come again if I have any business in the northern LA area. If you desire the a noiseless room ask for a room away from the street. My brother-in-law's room was facing the back and he had a quiet night.”

“This hotel was clean and comfortable. It’s close to Universal Studios, which is why we stayed there. It’s old and shabby, for sure, so don’t be surprised by that. But we had a pleasant stay. The staff was very nice and helpful. The pool was nice, we went for a swim while we were there. The hot tub wasn’t working though. The breakfast is just coffee / drinks and granola / breakfast bars. There is a fridge and microwave in the room. We were charged for parking, I believe $10 per day. It’s on a busy street but there was no problem with noise and we slept well. I have no complaints, got a good price and had a nice stay.”

“Had a nice time here, been here a few times and never a problem. No nasty looks or comments being a single girl checking in. Room was fine, no complaints. Clean, bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean. Shower had good head room, which I like. Area is near 2 busy streets where a girl can go out and meet people. It's near a cute bar and a raising canes chicken place, So if you are a girl, you can't go wrong here. I do recommended 2nd floor rooms, away from the elevator.”
