“The staff, beginning with Said at reception, took care of our every necessity. The room was clean and quiet, the shuttle to Universal is close by, and plenty of great food options are within a few steps. There's coffee, hot water for tea, and pastries for a quick breakfast.”

“I spent one night at the inn, and it was a good enough experience. Easy check-in, friendly manager, parking on premises, and a comfy bed. The room was smallish and the bathroom was very tiny, but overall I don't have much to complain about. The location is amazing on Ventura Boulevard.”

“My first trip to Los Angeles was in 2003, and we stayed at the Sportsmans Lodge. I loved every minute. Perfectly situated for anything you could want. The long gone Twains restaurant was our first meal in The Valley, on the night we got there. Since then, my son and i stayed at the Sportsmans 4 more times, and met several well known actors who were also staying there. Unfortunately, after it as refurbished in 2014(?) it became too expensive to stay at, but we did visit it on our 2016 holiday to LA, albeit just once. I'll miss it very much ? “This hotel in Studio City has a lot going for it in terms of location and outdoor spaces. The courtyard area was especially nice, with clean grounds, a pool, outdoor seating areas with umbrellas, and a modern outdoor fireplace feature that made the space feel relaxing in the evenings.

Restaurants and a grocery store were nearby, and the location was convenient for visiting Universal Studios Hollywood, with a nearby bus connection to the tram area. The hotel was also accessible by bus to and from Burbank Airport, which added to the convenience.

The room itself was clean and larger than expected, though some of the furniture was beginning to show wear. The bathroom also felt dated, and while the water pressure was a bit low, everything remained functional.

During my stay, I did notice a few maintenance-related items that appeared to need attention, though overall the property still felt generally cared for.

Overall, this was a comfortable and conveniently located stay with a pleasant outdoor atmosphere, especially for visitors exploring the Studio City and Universal area.”

“Nearby activities: Walking distance to or from Universal Studios

Safety: Not too safe to walk under the bridge (tunnel) when walking to or from Universal Studios. Nothing to do with the hotel but the city has to find a solution to clean up the tunnel

Food and drinks: Nice spot to grab snacks and drinks. Also has a separate bar

Noteworthy details: Be prepared to pay for overnight parking”
