“I stumbled on this place after having a not so pleasant experience with another guy. My dryer had not been igniting and needed someone to come and fix it without trying to sell me all the bells. Sean came out the same day to see if I needed a new dryer or if he could fix it. Unfortunately I did need a new dryer and he showed me a few that I could purchase from them. He told me to shop around to see if I could find a better price elsewhere and didn't push me to buy anything from him. The efficiency, honesty, and level of service he provided left me feeling like I was in good hands. The very next day he delivered me a brand new dryer and installed all within the span of probably 40 minutes. If I didn't have an upstairs unit he probably would've been quicker! Overall I cannot recommend appliance world and their staff enough. If anything ever breaks in this house again, I know who I'll be calling.”

I also noticed there’s a lot of sewing machines and there was a class being given at the time. “On 4/20 I took a Dyson hand held vacuum to The Yellow House repair shop in Sherman Oaks..I drop it and a rubber seal and the plastic ring that holds it came loose..the guy said the rubber part was worn-out and the plastic ring was broken..on a 1 yr old vacuum. He said $270 was what It would cost..so I left and went to Tony's..they checked it out and everything was a good shape. They put it back together in 20 minutes and changed me $20 just for the labor. Tony's is a very Honest business..and to all who need vacuum repair service..Stay Away from The Yellow House..they will rip you off.”

“The trio of big box stores here are the big draw. With a discount wholesaler, a home improvement store, and electronics store there's a lot to be found here. Several other food options are available here as well. It's quite a busy shopping zone.
The parking lot is basically divided into 3 sections. One for each big box store. The overall parking lot is huge. However, parking around each of these stores is usually quite congested. If you're visiting all three stores, you will probably be reparking several times.”

“My water tankless heater failed on Good Friday, expecting heavy rains Saturday, went to Home Depot and they only had 1 in stock (a brand I've never heard of). Called Ferguson 5 minutes before closing and told them my problem and that I was 3 minutes away, the salesmen said come on down. When I arrived there was someone waiting with the gate partially open, actually knew his stuff and had me in and out in 15 minutes with the brand I wanted and made sure I had everything I might need. They saved my weekend, it's nice to know there are still stores out there who will help a man out in a pinch. Thanks a bunch guys, I really appreciate it!!!”
“We love Howard Industries! They are the best HVAC supply company in Los Angeles and have been a true partner to Kilowatt for decades. What to expect: Delivery on time. People who stand behind their equipment (rated #1 year after year by consumers in an independent magazine). Free training for our employees. Howard's has enough locations to properly serve SoCal but they are still a family business and treat us customers like part of the family. The service never stops! I can't tell you the number of times I have needed a part and they have braved LA traffic to deliver it to the job (Thanks Manny). The counter guys are amazing. Armando is on it. To begin they are right next door to the Hirschians (inside joke) and the prices are always better than Hirsch. I love the customer service, their welcoming good morning, sarcastic answers and jokes. This has grown to be my supplier family. I appreciate all their work and help they provide. “I was looking for an older-style toilet tank that would fit my existing toilet in my townhouse. I called all over the place, visited several stores, and checked with different suppliers, but no one could find the right solution.
Ferguson was the one that actually made it happen! They found a tank that wasn’t the original model but was made by the same manufacturer—even though my toilet is about 20 years old—and it fit perfectly.
I’m very happy with the service I received and really appreciate them taking the time to find a solution when no one else could. Great service and very helpful staff!”

“Huge selection of furnace filters here. Ours is a non-standard size and I've never seen it at the big box stores, much less the mom and pop shops. Tried ordering off Amazon before, but the filters show up kinda mangled. Some of their inventory requires a contractor's license, so you may wanna call ahead.”
