“The hotel is great, great customer service and very clean room. The swimming pool and hot tub is awesome!

The location during day time is fine but during night, I notice homeless walk around or sleep on the sidewalk. But they didn't bother us.”

“This hotel is just absolutely worth it for the price. Our room was super clean and well made. The bed was so comfortable and I like that they had smaller pillows compared to hotels that have huge pillows usually. I have a walking boot and use crutches, so the fact that the bathroom had accessibility with hand rails next to the toilet and in the shower were pretty great. The staff at the front desk were kind and very helpful when we would enter and leave, and when we required more towels. Lastly, we are so appreciative of the woman was who maintaining the breakfast area. She was so kind and nice, and she offered to help us (and others!) and bring us items to our table. She kept all items stocked and well presented and clean. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m in the area.”

“Traveling from Kansas City, Missouri, where we recently experienced 4 to 5 inches of snow, to California presented its own challenges, . However, my stay at the Hampton Inn Suites in Los Angeles/Sherman Oaks turned out to be the highlight of my trip. The staff, from the front desk to maintenance and housekeeping, provided exceptional service, making me feel welcomed and valued. Despite ongoing renovations, which I hardly noticed, the overall experience was outstanding. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. I would like to give a huge shutout to Mr. Athnasious, who worked the front desk he is a Saint he did everything to make my stay wonderful and I truly appreciate him.”

“Exceptional location and service all the staff members we came across were kind professional and extremely helpful . The young girl at the front desk I did not catch her name she has long black brown hair and bangs.. She was phenomenal with accommodating our stay .10/10 God bless”

“Great stay. Interesting grab and go breakfast. But I was put on the 2nd floor and there’s only steps. I have a bad hip but was told nothing was available on the ground floor and ignored when I asked again about it. Otherwise the room was clean and the bed was nice. It was a little bit noisy but it was to be expected being on Ventura. Overall good stay.”

“Overall pleasant stay. The first night the air conditioner was broken and the room was uncomfortably warm. I called the front desk and they fixed it the next day. The rest of the stay was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very nice, along with very nice restaurant staff.”

“They have a free breakfast every morning for guests but anyone can go in there - they don't check! Homeless people go there every morning for breakfast...and no one says a thing! So, if you want free food, this is the place!

*update* They closed the doors, but now the homeless wait for people to go in and they go in behind them! They hold the doors open for them! Is there no one watching anything there?”

“This place is the best value in the area! I lived in Sherman Oaks for 40 years and when I visit this place will be the place in the future ! The staff are what brought me into this wonderful hotel. I talked to Marcy on the phone, and she helped me get the exact room I wanted. When I checked in, Gabriel was an incredible personality and knowledgeable of what I needed. I loved being there so much that I stayed another night”

“Really enjoyed my stay here. Clean and spacious rooms. For long stays these rooms are ideal, they have a kitchenette, and they provide a griddle upon request. We went down to the bar and enjoyed ourselves. Bar had a good selection of liqueur and beer. Good food as well. Will stay here again if I'm in the area as well. Only thing is that you need to valet park your car, $35 bucks a night. They don't have self parking spots I was told. But enjoyed my stay.”

“I had to stay here the other night unexpectedly and was very pleased with the level of service I received. It was a very stressful evening but the staff could see that I was having a rough night and made check in very simple for me and I got to my room quickly. I appreciated their help and efficiency so much. The breakfast in the morning wasn't great by any means but wasn't a big deal for me at all. I just appreciated the convenience and the help they provided. Would most definitely stay again”

“I had to stay here after being locally displaced due to being evacuated from the latest wildfire in my area. This team went above and beyond to accommodate my family at a time when it was critically needed. I’m very grateful and will always try to stay with Marriott in the future as a result!”

“We stayed for 5 days in a King Studio Suite with a kitchenette and really enjoyed ourselves. Place is run smoothly, clean facilities, feels updated/ new, friendly staff, and amazing breakfast. Breakfast includes a variety of classic items: oatmeal, waffle station, eggs, breakfast meats, fresh fruit, breads etc. better than most places like this. The pool is indoor which was great for us and the kids to rest from the heat outside. Will definitely come back here.”

“Our family of four traveled here from Santa Barbara; we had previously stayed overnight at this brand-name hotel in Santa Barbara and had a very positive experience—that was how we first became acquainted with this hotel chain. On this particular visit, we simply stopped by to use the restroom. The staff at the front desk here were very friendly.”

“Affordable, but could definitely use some updates and most definitely a good cleaning. It seems like the owner is doing the best he can with what he’s got. Can definitely be grumpy sometimes, but you can tell he cares. Would love the opportunity to help fix up these rooms because it could be amazing.”

“I spent one night at the inn, and it was a good enough experience. Easy check-in, friendly manager, parking on premises, and a comfy bed. The room was smallish and the bathroom was very tiny, but overall I don't have much to complain about. The location is amazing on Ventura Boulevard.”

“There was people smoking opiates outside when i arrived, the bathroom is super small, but the grass is wonderful for dogs, and there is a Dennys close by. What more could you ask for?”

“My first trip to Los Angeles was in 2003, and we stayed at the Sportsmans Lodge. I loved every minute. Perfectly situated for anything you could want. The long gone Twains restaurant was our first meal in The Valley, on the night we got there. Since then, my son and i stayed at the Sportsmans 4 more times, and met several well known actors who were also staying there. Unfortunately, after it as refurbished in 2014(?) it became too expensive to stay at, but we did visit it on our 2016 holiday to LA, albeit just once. I'll miss it very much ? “We were traveling across Europe and this was by far our favorite hotel. The building has character — high ceilings, old wooden floors, and charming decor. It felt more like a boutique experience than a chain hotel. The staff gave us personalized recommendations for local restaurants and places to visit, and they were spot-on. Breakfast was served in a lovely little courtyard, with fresh coffee and homemade jam. It felt peaceful and authentic, not touristy. I wish we had stayed longer.”

“Well, let’s just say a year and a half ago I gave This motel only 2 stars, unfortunately. But, since the new ownership, I now happily give this motel 4 stars!!!! ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ (Thank Goodness!)
Bobby at the front desk who works late nights is super friendly and very accommodating!! He went above and beyond for me, as well as many others. I also feel safer when he is here at night! And that alone is amazing!!
The only reason why I didn’t give it five stars is because the rooms are a little dirty… But I will admit I am very very picky… But it does kind of suck when I have to come here (and it doesn’t matter what room I get )I have to clean it , scrub it, the bathtub the bathroom, the floors, the headboard behind the mattress, the chairs, the microwave, the refrigerator , all the doors—- just so I can be in the room and not freak out about how dirty it is!!! But Hey!!! I was thinking about asking the owner if they could maybe give me a discount since when I leave the place, the rooms are way cleaner than they were before when I got here!!!!! LOL!!!
Other than that , and also the annoying construction around the way that seems to always be going on for some reason!? and it goes on all night and way early morning! besides those two things , everything is just perfect! thank you so much ! I I really do appreciate the owners and I do appreciate the maids and I do appreciate the front desk!!! Bobby especially !!! thank you guys so much. I will see you next time bye.!! 😊”

“3-star Best Western Plus is my personal standard of care, but I wanted a motel near the airport so I stayed here for one night with my wife. It was less than 10 minutes to the rental car return building. We stayed in room 302 on 05/02/2026. Checking in and out was easy. The young man at the front desk was very polite and pleasant as if working at a 5 star hotel. This branch looked a little dated all over, but thanks to the housekeeping staff our room was extremely clean. The bed was comfortable and I slept through the night like a baby. Added value: I made my own fresh waffle for breakfast. They had hard-boiled eggs, ham omelets, DYI oat cereal, juices, and coffee. That is $20 per person value. This is a 2 star hotel but it deserves a 5 star rating in it's class. The only issue is street noise until about 10 pm as our room faced the street. There was a big party at the entrance. I notified the front desk, and the drum stopped. The immediate neighbor seems to be an industrial area, and it is not a place to walk around. Parking spaces were on the ground floor, under the rooms, passing the front office, so it was safe. I would definitely come again if I have any business in the northern LA area. If you desire the a noiseless room ask for a room away from the street. My brother-in-law's room was facing the back and he had a quiet night.”

“Spent one night while traveling. Arrived a bit late and was greeted by two very friendly clerks. Check in was easy and the room were clean. Everything worked well with no problems. Traffic noise tapered off substantially after and sleep was ready. Enjoyed the stay and would come back.”

“I recently bought a car from Galpin Automotive Group and stayed at this property during the process. The overall experience was great. The staff was professional, welcoming, and very helpful throughout my stay. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, which made it easy to get work done and relax at the same time. One thing I really appreciated was that they had a FloWater station on-site with fresh filtered water, and I was able to refill my jug easily every day. Small details like that definitely made the stay feel more convenient and comfortable.”

“The most nostalgic night I have ever spent in L.A. An episode of Highway Patrol was filmed here in 1956 and some of a Mannix episode in 1969. And in 2020, Mommy Was a Murderer. It has great post-WWII architecture and is of a bygone era. Places like this should be restored by someone who cares.”
