“I love near here and saw their sign driving by. After two roadtrips with my dogs this summer I needed a carwash and shampoo. Their prices are very competitive and the service very thorough. I plan to bring my car here at least monthly.”

“Honestly the best deal around. The soap actually removes dirt and the spray wax seems to work. For $5 I can wash and wax my truck. Seems like there is someone there to keep the peace and maintenance.”

“Hands down to the best carwash in town. I've got the oil change and carwash package, price is very reasonable, they did the oil change so fast that we thought they didn't even do it. If you need quick oil change and don't have time, this is the place to go. I went to other wash in town and they're nothing compared to this place.”

“The BEST car wash spot in the Bay. Ashley and Andre are AMAZING at what they do. Their customer service skills are top notch and they work quickly and efficiently. The standard wash done by them, is better than my last full detail elsewhere. I will 100% be coming back for Ashley and Andre.”

“The wait isn’t short but the work put into the car washing was impressive, especially that it was human powered by only 2-3 people on a high demand service roll. I was very satisfied of the outcome and price. Will come again if I’m in the area.”

“what’s not to love about this place, get a workout in and a clean car. Tokens are dispensed with the machines in the front and you get 3 minutes for each cycle (soap, wax, or water). It’s $3 per cycle and the machines accept $1, $5, $10 and $20 bills. who knows, you could meet your future ex here too.”

“Support local. Just a kid and his hose. It's informal. There's no prices listed. They look at your cars size and price for wash, vacuum front/back/both/trunk and price accordingly. It was a young kid making an honest living. Will support that all day.”

“Steve is a wonderful guy. I was referred to him by a co-worker, having a emergency vehicle situation. Called Steve and was told to bring my car in for a diagnostic, found out it needed a new alternator. That day I received same day service. OMG, I was extremely surprised and happy getting my car back within 2hrs., needless to say, this has never happened to me, especially in an emergency last minute walk in.The EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE I received is on POINT!!!!!!! I now have a new Mechanic Shop "Steve's Auto Repair". I will most definitely refer family and friends to Steve's Auto Repair. Thanks Steve & Team!!!”

“For a self serve car wash I can always depend on this place to work. The one time it took my money the attendant promptly helped me to turn on the machines and even gave me extra time for my troubles. It is kept clean and the cleaning brush isn’t damaging to my car. I’ve come here since I started driving.”

“My car was vandalized, the catalytic convertor stolen, while I was visiting a friend in Oakland. I live in Carmel. My husband had worked with Omar, from Ken Betts for many years and suggested I call him. He was very nice and extremely helpful. He worked with me and my insurance company quickly and efficiently, and went way out of his way to search for the convertor which was hard to find due to to much theft of this parts. He and I worked to together to locate one of only a few in the city. He actually went in person to pick it up to make sure we had it. The repair was done very quickly and well. Omar was exceptionally helpful in so many ways. I highly recommend him and Ken Betts for good personal service and repair.”

“Overall I was happy with the results. I had a very dusty car that hadn't been washed in months, and my car came out so shiny! It was done in about 20 minutes on a busier Thursday afternoon. There were a few small water spots, but I wiped it a bit myself and it was no problem. Also FYI they charge +$2 for SUVs which were most of the cars coming through. It sounded like they were trying to charge the woman in front of me the extra SUV fee in a Kia Soul which felt unnecessary in my opinion. But the woman behind the counter took that fee off when the owner asked about it. Overall I really was happy with my experience here and would definitely come back!”

“Zero issues to report, but then I am a pro at the self serve car wash. No line on a Monday before the 4th of July. I broke out a $10 and coached my little man who will inherit the CamperVan one day:1.) Time goes quick little mate. So make sure you're set up for success, before you drop in your coin. Test that the brush will reach all the way around your vehicle. We had to back out about 2 feet and squeeze a bit closer to the wall, and be mindful that the hose will snag the roof rack. Set up the step ladder, get a bucket filled with water. Raise wipers.2.) $3 to start, use the brush. Top to bottom. Gravity is your friend. Little man, you follow behind with a mop glove getting the low sides. If the glove hits the ground, grab a clean one.3.) Keep scrubbing after your 3 minutes are up. Use the bucket water diluting the suds, work from cleanest to dirtiest. Hit wheels last. Return wipers.4.) Set to rinse, grab pressure gun. Set step ladder. Little man drops in four coins and is dazed by the force of the gun. We work fast, top to bottom again, using the pressure to scour off the brake dust.We wheel out of the way as a line has now formed. And get ready to dry. I put little man on the roof and now others have recruited him. Hilariously he earns six bucks, and teaches people how to say their favorite color in mandarin.”

“One of the best automatic washes in the city, and the only one with an unlimited monthly plan. The line is sometimes long, but moves quickly. -1 * for not rinsing rear of car well.”

“Difficult/tricky to find. Great signage off of the freeway, but not intuitive to find. You can't beat the price. There are lots of pumps and the line can be used on either side of the car. This is a very busy gas station and you need to be aware of your surroundings as you pull in there are lots of cars coming and going.”

“I've taken my boss's car here a few times & now take mine too. It can take a little while, but all good car washes do. I'd just do a drive by if you're in a rush and you're already out. Both the interior and exterior cleanings are really thorough. The staff is nice. I like the system they've got going. Very affordable compared to the car washes in the city. There's a nice shady place to sit while you wait and you pay at the pump, which is convieniet. Will continue to come here!”

“IMPORTANT TIP: MAKE SURE YOU KEEP THE ENGINE ON DURING AND AFTER THE RINSE OFF.Otherwise, your car will stall and have some issues. Just keep the engine running. Any questions, just ask the supervisors at the truck wash area. They did a great job cleaning my engine.. I brought my car in here for an engine wash at my mechanic's request so we could locate an oil leak.”

“They raised their prices upto 3 tokens to start the car wash bay. I still got my car done in one wash, but still I noticed it not as busy anymore either. Oh well, it's the sign of the times I guess. Peaceful wishes,?????‍♀️”

“The staff were VERY HELPFUL when I got gas here on Tuesday night. I left my phone on the counter and another customer snatched it pretty quickly. I realized I didn't have my phone on me a few minutes later and the man working at the cash register was kind and trusting enough to let me borrow his phone to call my phone. He even let me take it to my trunk because I wanted to make sure I didn't drop it in there. When I was calling it with his phone at my car, an unhoused man admitted to having taken my phone from the counter. I brought the cashier's phone back to him and thanked the unhoused man with $10 worth of gas. Meanwhile, the 2nd gas station attendant came outside to make sure the man would give my phone back to me. He did. These two staff went above and beyond that day. I imagine they have to deal with a lot of stressful situations working at this location. They didn't appear burnt out, but dedicated to supporting their customers. I only get gas here and at the Valero near where I live. I am grateful for these two kind humans and I hope they get pay increases, because they are very valuable for our Oakland community.Thank you both, and God Bless,Annmarie”

“I don't come here no more but I remember when I was a little kid I used to live very close to here and I would go and get Slurpees and nachos all the time it was basically just like a 7-Eleven thing is though they don't have the Slurpee or Nacho no more sadly which sucks but every time I'm in the area and I come by it puts a smile on my face and based off Nostalgia alone”

“This is the large Shell Station at High Street x I-880. It sits in the major crossroads on freeway ramps, roads to Alameda, Fruitvale district, Home Depot and industrial businesses. Leaving Alameda for I-880 South, it's a nice place to get gas. There's a foodmart and a carwash. The station is very spacious, and that's why drivers use it as a shortcut to bypass the traffic. The negative thing to note is the large homeless camps nearby. Occasionally people may ask for money, or hang around. So, be aware of your surroundings. Lock your vehicle if you leave it. Just a warning. Welcome to East Oakland”
