The name happens to be Scottie Thurman , one of the few Oakland Hoop legends from Bushrod Park in The North side of Oakland, I have always had the utmost respect and admiration for Mistah Fab and when we finally met he was like , yeah I know you by name only, your reputation proceeds you, they say you was a real problem for some hall of famers back in the day , it was said by someone and I won't say who that you someone who is also an Oakland Hoop Legend Superstar that you never lost to him or anyone a one v one match including the person who I HEARD say this and he won't have a problem with me saying his name, Hook Mitchell the Super Duper Star when it comes to street Hoop legends he is number #1 and he is one of your best friends no hook said you was his brother and that when you get it going your truly Unstoppable and he said you could go full speed without ever stopping and he Called you Y.C. what does Y.C. mean? It means Yo... ..”

“Julie at Maple Street Denim is incredible at determining fit and talking through differences between the denim brands and designs that her store carries. I found a pair of denim that was perfect for me and my first pair of selvedge! In love with the fit -- definitely trust Julie to help you find a size that works. Maybe due to modern vanity sizing, but I had to go 2-3 sizes down from my normal denim. I'll be back for repairs for my well-loved pairs :)”

“Ruby and Zinzee (sorry about the spelling!) are both so friendly and personable. I love this shop - jewelery and clothing. There are hijabs or head wraps, mugs, and journals, and if you'd like to try anything on, there are dressing rooms in the back. I purchased a beautiful, tall mug that was design by an artist in Sacramento. It's such a unique shop and I had no idea but they've been here for over 20 years, or was it 30? How rare is that? They're family owned, too. Come check it out! When I mentioned that the mug (beautiful women of color all around the mug) will be a gift, for a friend, they placed it in a pretty gift bag and put colored tissue paper in there! It's ready to gift to her now! Perfect. They get merchandise that come in, so come check them out once in a while. They have a sale rack in the back to the right. There are jeans, dresses, tops, purses, small backpacks, hats, etc. Go check them out!”

“I saw Lesley Evers clothing in my Facebook feed and was drawn to the colors and prints. It took me over a year to get here. I love the fact the clothes are designed in USA. There are so many cute items with fabulous colors. They are well made and good quality fabrics. The prices are very reasonable particularly considering they are made in the USA and not cheaply made in China. The sales clerk was very friendly and helpful. She was knowledgeable about the stock and sizes. Even my daughter saw sweaters she would wear. We will be back.”

“I had an issue with a shoe size I bought in store. This place isn't for low income shooters, it is was not expensive than I might normally go for but I wanted solid strong shoes. I was able to get them replaced after 2 days. I'm disappointed that they tried to unplug my feedback after only 2 days and a request for exchange one”

“I purchased some jeans GAP online during at 50% off sale. However, one pair did not fit well and I wanted to exchange it for a slim cut. Not having had to do an online return, I text chatted with a customer service rep and she explained the steps to return the pants, reorder and pay for the new pants and that it would take up to 25 business days for my return to be processed and credit to be issued. Not wanting to deal with the process, I decided to do the exchange at a store. GAP has been closing many locations and stores are few and far in between. Luckily the nearest store was only 9 miles away at the Lakeshore area and I found a parking space down the block.There was no wait and I was able to walk up to the cashier and explained my intent to do an exchange. She said I would be credited for my purchase, but I would have to purchase the new jeans at the current price and not at the price I paid, which didn't make sense. She said she would get a manager to help me. A manager came and I explained my situation and he checked if the pants I wanted was in stock and it wasn't. So he ordered it online and it would be sent to me and processed my return. The pants went down in price so I even go a credit for the difference. I was happy to get my exchange done at the store and not have to deal with the steps required for an online return. It was not simple like a return on Amazon. Though the cashier did not understand the exchange I wanted to transact, I appreciated that the manager made the exchange transaction seamlessly.”
