    “I’ve been coming to Gonellas for over 10 years, and I’ve never met friendlier people who always have what I need! I noticed over the last couple of weeks that they hadn’t been stocking mint mate in the fridge, so I mentioned it to the cashier as I was checking out yesterday. Today they added the mint mate back and the guy was super sweet as I checked out. Going in there is quick and easy and it’s always my caffeine stop on the way in or out of work! Would highly recommend this small town staple.”

It’s got a nice old town feel they have their own branded sauces and pickles, great selection of wine and beer and sodas and they make an awesome deli sandwich. I highly recommend on your way out to Jenn or the Pacific Ocean to stop at the Duncan Mills General Store.”

Prices sometimes is higher while I look for the yellow tags with amazon prime and use their credit card Amazon get points....if you do not have receipt, they can look it up if you want to return something thru your credit card I presume. Overall i shop there. Sprouts, raleys, safeway, trader joes on their sale items..sometimes they have marked down stuff 50 percent off daily their perishable food items..but you have to freeze ir eat it right away.”

The availability the prices, the hours of operation, and the parking lot all make it easier and a great value for those items. We tend to go to smaller stores for meats cheeses, breads, and produce. However my local butcher at a smaller store got my order wrong twice recently and I decided to head over to Safeway. My goodness what a great experience. The customer service was beyond what I had hoped for quality of the meat was exceptional. Going to use this fellow on he regular he and the team at this Safeway really impressed me”

    Kroger is spending $112 million to build two new stores and renovate 15 existing locations across central and northwest Ohio. The company calls it a "record-breaking" commitment to the region. The two new Kroger Marketplace stores will rise in Canal Winchester and Delaware, Ohio, each costing roughly $30 million to build. Kroger broke ground on the Canal Winchester location on March 19 at the southeast corner of Diley Road and Greengate Boulevard. The 118,000-square-foot store is expected to open in late fall 2026 and will create around 250 jobs.

    Loblaw Companies Limited is putting serious money into its retail network this year. Canada's largest food and pharmacy retailer announced it will spend $2.4 billion in 2026 to open new stores, renovate existing locations and strengthen its supply chain. The company plans to open 70 new stores in 2026. That includes 34 Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix pharmacies and care clinics, along with 31 hard-discount No Frills and Maxi grocery stores. On top of the new openings, Loblaw will renovate another 191 stores and continue construction on a roughly 1.2 million-square-foot automated distribution center in Caledon, Ontario.
