“Employee was super friendly and knew most customers by name! A lot of fun finds in here, it’s like an overstock/damaged goods grocery store. The prices were great. I would just be sure to check the expiration dates, we found a couple expired things but that’s expected at stores like this! We will be back in a couple weeks to see what new things they have.”

“Great specials on a good variety of liquor. Proprietors are a nice couple that are both friendly and welcoming. Last year they had the best prices on vodka that I could find any where. I always stop when passing by to check the bargains.”

“It's always clean and well stocked with all kinds of nibbles! Freeze dried sour candies! Ever heard of FREEZE DRIED candy? Well...supposedly a new fad--theyve got it for $8 a bag!!”
“The McGowan Dollar General used to be an embarrassment. Having this store first thing off the freeway was tragic. But all that has changed! No longer are the shelves half full and the aisles blocked by unpacked product! No longer is the parking lot and landscaping full of weeds and garbage! The shaved ice vendor is still in the parking lot, her coconut cream is the best! But going inside for cash made me want to take a shower. Now the store looks good on the neighborhood! Why it took so long to get good management when the store was so very busy we may never know. But, like so many DG's, it now makes a profound and positive impact on an underrepresented community. And, now there's a taco vendor in the parking lot too! Woohoo! Tacos!”

“This is the ONLY place to get E85 flex fuel in our area or Yuba City! $2.65 a gallon!!! I love filling up my van for $40 or $50 instead of $100. And the van runs better on 100+ Octane. Always clean and stocked with window cleaner and paper towels as well.”
“Prices are okay. Atleast here you get exactly what you pay for and they don't overcharge you and there's not a bunch of nastiness hanging around out front or inside of the store and they try to keep the store pretty clean.”
“They have some decent chicken up front to buy to cook at home. Also some decent grocery stuffs on the counters. Can't see why this is rated 2 stars, as I've never had a bad experience here. 4/5. Great gas and mini market for our area.”

“They have a Great Deli in the back that serves Fresh Vietnamese Food! The Papaya salad is made to order and the spring rolls with shrimp are made daily. Good place for vegetables & fruit.”
