“Needed a truck to pick up come furniture I purchased. For on the U-Haul website and their system was down. So went to their retail location and they couldn’t get on their system. Quickly googled truck rentals and saw HD had them. Quick, easy, friendly staff, and best of all, it was a lot cheaper for short time rentals! Had the truck for a little less than 2 hours, drove about 30 miles, filled 2 gallons of gas and total came out to $35 and change. Same rental at U-Haul would’ve been around $55. Checking up on U-Haul’s website when I dropped off 2 hours later, their system was still down.
The flatbed truck I got was quite modern. USB charging, backup camera, powered lock, mirror, windows, and nice AC.
If you don’t need the truck for a long time, HD can be a better deal than U-Haul.”
