Orland Veterinary Hospital
1137 8th St, OrlandWe moved up to Tehama County last year and I needed to find a veterinarian for all of our critters. One of my horses seemed to have injured her neck and I called Orland Veterinary after trying a few other vets in the area. Dr. Josh Brownfield was able to fit me in and he was also willing to drive from Orland to Gerber. He was very thorough as he thought through what could be going on with her. He took his time and listened to her history and did a thorough assessment. He prescribed some daily painkillers to see if that would relax her neck as it healed. We knew it would take a couple of months to see results and in a couple months she was almost 100% better. He didn't try to charge me for every single thing and that was refreshing. Horses are expensive and it's hard to have a vet out when the bill is always really high.
Next was my daughter's cat for a reacurring UTI & raw back end after having a surgery for repeat urinary blockages. Dr. Josh again took his time and asked a lot of questions and what he prescribed started working instantly. I'd had him at another hospital several times for the same issue and we weren't seeming to get anywhere other than costing a lot of money.
The other day we took in our fat mama cat & one of her children. Mama needed bloodwork done & child needed his eye looked at. Same as before, Dr. Josh took his time, really thought everything through and educated us on how to slim chunky down safely. Sheppy with his eye got a full exam & staining and sent home with some ointment. His eye is doing great and Mama is adjusting to her new feeding protocol. The staff at the clinic are very nice, patient & helpful. I definitely recommend Orland Veterinary for your pets!
