522 Central Ave, Pacific Grove“Service is good. Ambience is really nice family and student oriented. Not crowded and not noisy music. They have a library in the back. They sell they sell newspapers so you can leave your phone at home and buy something here to read or just read something in the back. It's downtown Pacific Grove and it's surrounded by other businesses. Very safe and pleasant Street. I tried the mocha and I'll give it five out of five. Then my wife and I tried the eclair and I'll give it to four out of five. It was custard, eclair, and not the cream eclair, which is a fake eclair. The ladies doing the service on Saturday were all very nice smiling even one of them remembered me when I went back to buy and she said welcome back. It's a nice place to be if it's raining because you can look around and see the rain falling around here . And maybe snow if you are lucky. Plenty of seat parking mostly two hours .”
“Came here for the first time to grab a gift for my wife who adores this store and now i know why. Thank you for all the help and my wife loved the singing bowl!! 10/10 highly recommend if you're looking for a unique gift and enjoy amazing customer service.”
“Friends' Community Bookstore had me completely enchanted! It's a beautiful place where the love of literature comes alive and a paradise for bookworms. I had a great time navigating the aisles and finding hidden gems that I might not have seen otherwise. I was impressed with the bookstore's wide collection, and the presence of first editions and uncommon discoveries raised the ante even further. This bookstore is a gold mine just waiting to be discovered, regardless of your reading preference.”
“The Barnyard installment of our beloved Henry Miller Library was a wonderful choice of space. High ceilings, long windows, ample crowd seating with plenty left over for performance space, and shelves filled the quintessential Beat titles that grace it's parent's all culminate to perpetuate the air of open freedom one finds at HML's home site. I hope there's a way to keep it once the bridge repairs are completed. Nothing could surpass the majesty of the Coast Library's Redwood Fairy Ring but having a taste of the vision, a smidge of that magic, gives Carmel a much needed shot of vitality in it's otherwise mostly tired cultural arm. Yay, Henry Miller Library!!!”
“Monterey Peninsula College Library is a gem within the campus, offering a beautiful and enriching environment for students. If you're looking for a place to study, conduct research, or simply immerse yourself in a world of knowledge, this library is a must-visit. I left with a positive impression and a newfound appreciation for the resources and support available to students at Monterey Peninsula College.”
“If you want a memory of Monterey, this is the place to get it. They have metalwork, glass, clothes, stuffed animals, woodwork, and more. All high quality, supporting the aquarium, and some items even support other causes. Look for the tags and the markers as they will give you a lot of information on where your money is going.”
“Amazing place to stop by and soak up the cozy chill vibes of their new location. Great books all around, and art too. Owners are easygoing, friendly people. Plus they do events and have a unique community. The best of Monterey. Their hours are flexible so just stop by and peek upstairs to see if they’re open!”
“My wife and I walked in here during our tour of Carmel and aren’t we glad we did! All of the staff were lovely and their collection of photography is impressive. We walked away with two photographs, one from Michael Milner and one from Brett Wetson. A big thank you to Julia for all of her help!!”
“Everyone found a book to bring home and even a copy of Cannery Row! Reminiscent of that used bookstore smell and quirky collection of who knows what you’ll find. ?”
“It's like most college bookstores. If you need a required book right away, they generally have it but you can almost always find your materials for less online at the cost of waiting a few days for delivery.”
“I loved this cozy, beautiful bookstore. It helped me discover some wonderful picture books for my daughter while we were on vacation. They don't have everything but had many current and interesting finds. I recommend supporting a local bookstore like this one.”
“This little hidden gem was such a blessing to discover. I was able to buy all the things I needed for a spiritual purification and cleansing such as candles, sage, and palo Santo.David, the owner I assume, is a charming yet humble and lovely English gentlemen. Good vibes all around and will definitely be coming back here!”
