“We had a wonderful experience shopping for living room furniture at Mum's Place. There was zero pressure to buy, and the team stayed nearby whenever we had questions — always ready to help without hovering. They're also genuinely knowledgeable, offering great insight whenever we needed it”
“We recently purchased a mattress and had an outstanding experience thanks to Thomas. From the moment we walked in, he went above and beyond to make sure we got exactly what we needed within our budget and in record time. As a military family, we needed a mattress the same day, and Thomas made it happen without hesitation. He was patient, honest, and genuinely focused on helping us—not just making a sale. Unlike many salespeople who try to upsell regardless of your situation, Thomas truly cared about what we could afford and what worked best for us. His professionalism, integrity, and exceptional customer service made this experience stress-free and positive. Highly recommend asking for Thomas if you want someone who actually puts the customer first”
“They were super helpful and were able to get me my new mattress the next day (I ordered early Thurs) so I did not have to wait a week and deal with awful low back pain. Great store, great people.”
“A1 customer service. My boyfriend placed an online order and they went above and beyond to make sure he was taken care of. We will be making this store the location for all of our mattress/pillow needs.”
“Looking for a great nights sleep? Wondering what a new bed would feel like? Head on down to Mattress Firm in Sand City and speak with Alvin. He is an excellent resource when it comes to mattress technology and the goal of using rest and sleep as tools to improve your health and wellness. Alvin takes his time with his customers and uses his extensive knowledge of mattresses to find the right fit for your sleeping needs. Located in the same shopping center as Costco, Alvin at Mattress Firm Sand City will help your mind and body get the rest and wellness it deserves.”
“Came into the store today looking for a new couch. My family was treated well and shown all the options we were looking at. Of course we purchased our new living room setup. Thank you for all the help.”
“Love our lovesac… it’s expensive but it will probably be the last couch you ever buy. Great for families or households with pets, couch cleaning is easy (just put covers in the wash). Also really comfy.”
“We bought a Hot Spring spa from Monica. Great customer service went above and beyond to answer all of our questions & got us the best model for my son and budget. They had a great Memorial day Special/ 4th of July and we got our spa last summer. We had Tyson come up to do some adjustments today and he was so professional and courteous. We had a wonderful experience with him. Spas by the Bay has a great showroom with a lot of models. They took the time to explain how to use the chemicals and what would be a better system for us a salt vs chemicals. When I did my research, hot spring spas are the Mercedes of all spas. They have the best warranties and are the most energy efficient and less maintenance/more reliable.”
“Wanted to say a HUGE thank you to Ashley - store manager at Seaside California branch of Cost Plus. Helpful, thorough, friendly and great knowledge of products as well as all technology involved with Cost Plus app and ordering. All done with kindness and excellent customer service. Thank you !!!”

It’s easily the most curious place in town — a delightful blend of whimsy, artistry, and practicality that perfectly captures Carmel’s creative spirit. From the moment you step inside, you’ll see why there is something here for everyone. Whether you’re a minimalist seeking sleek modern pieces, a bohemian soul hunting for eclectic accents, or a traditionalist wanting warm, inviting furniture, the selection feels endless and thoughtfully curated. What makes it stand out is how unique everything is. You won’t find mass-produced items here; each piece has character, often with handcrafted details, unexpected designs, and that special Carmel magic that turns a house into a home. The good pricing is another pleasant surprise — quality this distinctive doesn’t usually come at such approachable rates. We were impressed by the value across the board, from smaller decorative items to larger statement furniture. The owners Arnie and Heather are genuinely engaging, warm, and full of infectious enthusiasm — their personal stories behind many of the pieces and insightful advice made our visits feel like chatting with old friends who happen to have impeccable taste. Their expertise turned simple browse into a fun, inspiring, and memorable experiences. Carmel is packed with wonderful surprises, but this curious furnishings haven run by Arnie and Heather is one place tourists should not miss. It’s more than shopping; it’s a delightful discovery that leaves you with plenty to look forward to on future visits. Highly recommended — you’ll leave with bags, ideas, and maybe even a new favorite piece!”
“Such a great store. The people were so friendly. We bought many gifts to bring back home to our family and friends. Will be back for sure next time we are in the area. They even gave us a nice keychain charm for protection in our travels that I still keep on my bag. Love the vibes here.”
“Lenox Hill Design is undoubtedly Carmel’s best furniture store. This family-owned shop blends timeless craftsmanship with modern luxury. Every piece feels thoughtfully curated, beautifully made, and built to last. Beyond the furniture, what sets them apart is the warm, personal service—you can feel the care and passion in every detail. A wonderful experience from start to finish.”
“Extraordinary selection of both traditional and more contemporary furniture, lightings, rugs and artwork. Well suited for both the Pebble Beach residents and Monterey professionals. Very attentive and knowledgeable staff!”
“We had a great experience from the moment we entered the store, we knew we wanted a specific bed, but didn't know all the details and got to learn our initial sleep number how the system worked, and all about the bed we were looking to get. Tim got us hooked up and got all the necessary supplies. We got a great quote for the bed the next day when we were able to purchase the bed, and when I called Tim, told us that the price had already gone down due to a sale starting. The purchase by phone process was easy and secure.”
“The personnel, Charlotte and Donya as well as Silvie are great. They are extremely pleasant and helpful. They listen to your wants, your likes and dislikes and make great suggestions without pushing. The products are well displayed and the choices are plentiful, even if this is smaller “store” than others. The only negative is the delivery process which has nothing to do with the personnel at the store or the delivery personnel. But the process and timing of delivery can be frustrating. But, again, this has nothing to do with either the personnel or products. I would without hesitation recommend Charlotte and Donya, as well as all the other persons we came into contact with at the Arhaus Studio, to others. We are extremely happy with the personnel, products, service and overall experience with the Arhaus Studio in Carmel.”
“We had a good experience at Target and were able to find everything we were looking for. The store has a large variety of products, including grocery items, which makes it convenient for one-stop shopping. There is also a Starbucks inside the store, which is a nice addition while shopping. There is a large parking lot outside, and the store has a good number of self-checkout stations available as well. Overall, it was a smooth and convenient shopping experience.”
“July 6 2026 in continuing the 250th celebration of Americas’ freedoms, I joined my wife in her shopping spree. Who knew it would turn out to be such a “All American Experience “. Greeted by Michelle with a genuine “how can we help you”, who directed us to Katherin who was most gracious with her time and designer knowledge in all options how to design our new guest bedroom! Truly I witnessed how wonderful American Capitalism is at one of Americas finest retail establishments!”
“I love this target. The employees are very nice, Friendly, kind, and very helpful If you feel bored or tired, you can also take a seat at the Starbucks dinning table so you could relax and enjoy looking at the view ❤️❤️❤️”
Bob's Discount Furniture is growing while its competitors shrink. The Manchester, Connecticut-based retailer reported strong fourth-quarter results in its first earnings call since going public in February, with revenue climbing 8.2% to $648.8 million. Full-year net revenue jumped 16.8% to $2.4 billion, and net income rose to $121.7 million from $87.9 million the prior year. CEO Bill Barton told analysts the company plans to open about 20 new stores in 2026 and sees a path to more than 500 locations by 2035, roughly two and a half times its current 209-store footprint across 26 states.
Wayfair is testing a new, smaller store design. The online home furnishings giant, famous for its endless digital catalog, is trying a different strategy for its physical locations. The company announced plans to open a smaller prototype store in Columbus, Ohio, scheduled for late 2026. Located next to the Polaris Fashion Mall, the new space will span approximately 70,000 square feet.
Online furniture giant Wayfair is setting up shop in Atlanta with plans for a huge 150,000-square-foot store opening in 2026. The new location will take over the former Walmart space at The District at Howell Mill shopping center. This marks Wayfair's second big store, following its first location that opened in Wilmette, Illinois, in May 2024.
