But he’s a great listener, a nice person, has really great staff, and genuinely wants the best for his patients. That may seem like a minor detail, but trust me, when you've dealt with the parking nightmares at other medical facilities, you'll appreciate this as much as we did.One thing that really stood out to us was the punctuality. We were taken in right on time, and we only had to wait 5-10 minutes to be seen by the doctor. That's practically unheard of in today's world of healthcare! “I went in last night to Exer 10 minutes until closing and the whole staff was incredibly warm and kind to me. I didn’t feel rushed at all, they validated my pain, and genuinely was such a good experience. Yaire checked me in and quickly got me into a room. Royal was actively listening to what I was telling him to prepare me speaking to the doctor (shoutout Doctor roxy). He even let me lay down and got all the details of why I was visiting. And lastly Roxy answered all of my questions thoroughly and gave me great advice. She listened to me, explained what I was going through, and left me with multiple actionable steps I can take to recover. Feel really grateful for that experience, I’m already feeling 90% better. “I signed up with this medical service offered by Amazon, and I love it. Everything was done from my desk with a zoom call, the communications were excellent, the doctor (you get to pick your own doctor) was the best ever, the follow-up was the best I ever received. I did get a prescription which they called into the pharmacy of my choice, although Amazon could have also had mailed it to me. I love that Amazon One Medical has a phone app which is fantastic to use. This entire experience is a great example on how the medical profession should be. I love it.”

“With several decades of experience, as an impatient patient, I feel qualified to judge the quality of my health care providers. I've also learned that in life one almost always needs to qualify their judgments and opinions, with the phrase, "so far". In my 16 years living in L.A., I had not found a primary care doc who I felt was a keeper. A few months ago I asked a neighbor if he knew of someone and he recommended Dr. Patricia Y. Chang, who practices family medicine at UCLA. Dr. Chang has been at UCLA for around 5 years and practiced in Canada for around 20 years prior. I believe her Canadian training is beneficial to her patients, as Canada seems to be superior, in training physicians to understand and treat the whole person. In the roughly 3 months and 3 visits I've had with Dr. Chang, I am convinced that she is top notch, as a physician, and, no less importantly, as a person. Dr. Chang is extremely knowledgeable, a great listener, responsive (i.e., between visits) and caring. She also understands how all our systems (body and mind) are connected. In listening to my medical history, Dr. Chang identified a relatively rare issue, which no one has ever thought of or explored and very few would. "So far", I expect that Dr. Patricia Y. Chang will be one of the best physicians I have ever consulted.”

“I really hated to go to labs for blood tests. My veins are not visible and not easy to find. Even in the hospital I was poked several times because they couldn't find my veins. My arms were in yellow/green/purple colors in elbow area or on top of my palm. Just horrible. BUT! I have never had any problems in UCLA Encino labs. How they do this I don't know but you can not see any signs on my arms that I was in labs for blood draw. No more poking million times. They have it on the first try. Unfortunately I have to do the tests very often but I know I am going to Encino labs so all will be OK there during my blood draw. I can go there any time..”
