The new amenities are what really make the experience shine. There’s now a 7evesea Coffee Co. right inside the gym, which is a total perk for that pre- or post-workout caffeine boost. And let me tell you – the showers are amazing! They’re spotless, spacious, and stocked with everything you need to freshen up after a tough workout, which is such a luxury for a CrossFit gym.

“Oak Park LA is the gym I’ve been looking for my entire life. I’ve been a member for 1.5 years and can’t speak highly enough about the quality of the coaches, programming, and facility. I’d been a member at 2-3 other CrossFit gyms in other cities and kept getting injured due to improper form and going too hard too often. Oak Park LA coaches have helped me improve on the fundamentals, identify opportunities for individualized growth, and discern when to push myself versus taking it easy. The intentionality + philosophy behind the coaching is unparalleled and I’m grateful to be a part of the community.

The sauna + cold plunge is also a huge perk of being a member here :)

“I have been a member for 5 months now and I have nothing but positive things to say about GTS. They really care about providing a great experience to their members. I checked out Equinox, Planet Fitness, 24 hour fitness, and have been a member at other local gyms. If your focus is getting your work in and learning proper form you won't find a better deal. Overall: The best gym. Very good price given what you get. Their session cancellation and unused pass policy is very generous. All of the instructors are top notch and very nice people. No gym bros here. As a female, I really appreciate the friendly but focused atmosphere. Master Classes: Excellent. They will teach you proper form to get the max strength out of you while preventing injury. If you have a past injury, they will show you tips to still be able to train (I had an injury from before I started going to this gym). So far, I have taken the Day 1 and Day 2 master classes. I have knee problems from before and I found it unbelievable that with their instruction I was able to do full proper squats. Atmosphere/occupancy: Also excellent. I've never had to wait for any squat racks ever. There have been times when I'm the only one in the gym, especially early in the morning. They have a good mix of machines and I've always been able to make it work what they have. Everyone is very courteous. If there's any equipment that's malfunctioning I just have to send a text to the owners and they address it right away. Other members: People are usually minding their own business, but everyone is polite and considerate. Most people will give you a wave or nod if you're working out during the open gym. Owner/Coaches: Jason, the owner, is great. Again, my experience is that he is focused on providing the best experience for the members. He is a great coach and is very knowledgeable about form and the mechanics of strength training. I have interacted with two other coaches and have felt very comfortable and cared for during their instruction. As a female, this is something I really appreciate.”

“I fell in love with weight lifting at Iron Method because of the structured exercises and consistency of training in every class. My favorite is Carolyn because she makes the classes so entertaining with her crazy energy that never seems to exhaust her. I love how she motivates by pushing my limits but never puts me down if I choose to take it easy. We all get a personal training in a class setting environment and don't pay an arm and a leg for it. All the Instructors are pretty amazing though with their unique training methods. I am very grateful to be part of the Iron Method community:)”

“So I’ve been going to Stretch Lab for a couple years off and I just recently moved to Woodland Hills area and I was needing a good stretch just the call when booking with Asia was so lovely she was so professional and very understanding of my restrictions. I went in it was very clean and my Flexologist Sutton was so amazing to work with we did the MAPS test first and then got into the stretch he kept checking in since I’m dealing with a injury and I woke up feeling like a million dollars thank you Woodland Hills Stretch Lab!”

“This long overdue. I joined Strive Fitness in March of 2023. It was such a great experience and I liked it so much that I signed up by the end of my first training. All the workouts are well planned whether you're trying to lose fat, gain muscle or just maintain weight, you're guaranteed to see results. The staff, Matt, Nick, Geraldine, Devan, Nikki & AJ are all amazing and extremely supportive. Coming from gyms where I felt overwhelmed by the size and crowds, 4 Star provides a more personal environment that has allowed me to focus fully on my workouts without distractions or intimidation.What I appreciate most is the structured programming - having my sessions planned out ahead of time takes the guesswork out of workouts for me. Crossing items off the checklist as I complete them makes workouts more interactive and fun. “F45 does all the small things right to make for, in my opinion, by far the best pre-programmed gym experience in Culver City. Here are some things I appreciated:-indoor and outdoor workout options-excellent music (mix moves smoothly, good BPM but varies, not just hard rap or electropop)-well balanced workouts with GOOD explanations-earplugs and other sensory aids easily available- encouraging and kind coaches who actually bother to gently correct form and push you to finish a set (not always a guarantee when the workouts are on screen and pre-timed)- optional perks like ice baths, live DJ, social activities if you want to make friends at the gym-lots of towels and showers- super kind culture !! everyone I met was so pleasant and nice!10/10 job for storm & the other trainer for the foxtrot class!”

“'m 61 years old, and before I started training at The Compound, my physical activity was limited to 90-minutes of tennis once a week. After just three months of training with Paul twice a week (and once a week on my own), I'm down 12 pounds and seeing actual muscle tone--six-pack, here I come. How? Paul has developed a routine for me that includes cardio warm-ups, bodyweight exercises, core workouts, and weight training, all complemented by his helpful diet advice. Not only do I feel fitter and stronger, but my tennis game has also improved--I can hit harder and play longer without getting winded. “I've been going here a lot over the past year and there are many reasons for it: the workout always challenges me and the trainers also know how to push us, they give individualized attention while looking out for the whole group, everyone is so friendly and kind, even when the workouts are tough (particularly on wednesdays and sundays) they will still make you laugh and motivate you to push til the end. Training Mate is great for physical health and because its so fun and welcoming, its great for mental health too! No one at this gym is pretentious and everyone is cheering one another on - at every level. From the front desk staff to the trainers, literally any and every day of the week. Pro tip: If you like less busy then come at 8am or 9:30. If you want slightly less intensity come in the evenings.”

It is a grounded, well run studio with terrific and kind teachers and students. No pretense. Space for everyone.
