“I’ve been in this post office for almost 4 years already. Have to leave a review since I’m not sure when I’m leaving the city. Larry is an absolute gem and always greeted with a bright smile. Extremely brightful attitude and very helpful everytime. Thank you Larry, never could’ve thanked you more for making Westwood such a joyful place for us all!”

“I’ve been to this USPS a handful of times, and the staff has always been very nice and helpful. Like any USPS, there’s often a line, but twice while I’ve been in here one staff member has come out to answer any questions from the line, which really expedites the process. Overall, only good experiences for me at this USPS!”

“This post office single-handedly revived my faith in USPS. Or, rather, my faith that trips to the post office can be pleasant. The two fellows that seem to be there most often are so effusively friendly and helpful! To the point where one of them, I believe his name is Jackie, got me something green to wear on Saint Patrick's Day so I wouldn't get pinched. We've since moved and I genuinely miss having those nice moments when I'd run errands. To those who can frequent this post office, please take some time to appreciate it!”

“Never crowded, always helpful, which is saying a lot for the USPS these days. Whenever we have the time to drive a bit farther to drop off a package, we stop here.”

“Best place ever. They always go out of their way to please customers (no diddy). I’ve been using them
8 years now and I always feel good when I visit.”

“Greatest Post Office on earth. Seriously, the entire team from Lupe to Daniel to Raul have allowed me to grow my business faster than I had ever hoped.Looking for a Post Office with actually super friendly employees and great service? Well, turns out it exists and it’s nestled nicely within Topanga. My only concern is that the team seems to be understaffed and overworked since the new Postmaster took over. The team works as hard as humanly possible, but there are still limits to what can be reasonably accomplished with only one or two employees at the front, especially as we approach the busiest time of the year for packages and mail.Thank you team!Andy”

“The quality of service was the best of all the USPS I've been to. Friendly and kind. Not only do they respond with a smile, but they also do their work quickly and accurately. I would definitely like to use it again when I visit here again.”

“Been going to this PO for over a dozen years. The employees are each, IMO, doing great at customer service. They can't control the aspects that people complain about re: this post office such as the parking, length of the line, etc. I've always felt cared for and respected there. And, Janice is especially kind and helpful. (You are appreciated, Janice!)”

“Best mailbox center for miles. Every time I come here the service is excellent. I needed to send a fax months ago and he did it for free without thinking twice. Old school style service. Very appreciated. Padded envelopes reasonably priced. Everything you need. I couldn't recommend a better place. A PLUS.”

“Shout out to Euginda at this USPS branch who made my experience here amazing. Due to my own carelessness, I came into the branch right before closing time, but Euginda patiently took the time to help me with the international forms and all, even past closing time.

We got everything done and I left feeling great and deeply appreciative of how the staff here went out of their way to help me out.

Really exemplary conduct as compared to many other places in America.”

“I came at 9 AM and there was a short line, I just think they need to clean the building and when I asked the staff for a sticker he said no but other USPS have given no problem”

“Sometimes, we don't know when we'll be needing a post office when not in our usual stomping grounds. Looking for one on the phone pulled up several in adjacent neighborhoods, so why not go to one in Calabasas, a very nice, wooded, and hilly neighborhood at Los Angeles's far western edge?I see that there's a spread in the reviews for the USPS in Calabasas, CA. We've all had some outlier experiences with post offices we regularly use. Some post offices are almost always marginal, but that's rare and can sometimes coincide with their area in general. I almost hate to say that. The Calabasas post office is in a strip mall. It shares parking with other merchants in this strip mall, but a parking space is likely to be found.I needed to send a small box using the USPS priority mail product. Their free boxes you obtain for this service are well designed - in how sturdy they are, in how easy they are to assemble, and even in how easy it is to remove the protective adhesive so that the box will seal. The price for this was just about $10.The gentleman at the counter was helpful and polite. He even added some extra tape at my request, even though the box probably would not have come undone. But why chance it? We made some small talk, given how uncrowded it was at the time, and we commented on how the SFV and the West Side of L.A. have changed over the years.I was told the parcel would arrive in 2 days. It got to its destination the following day! I'm giving this post office 4 stars because it's a small post office. However, it's clean and seems to function well. Now, let me add some pedantic fodder to this review. First, more so than any other section of the city of Los Angeles, SFV suburbs tend to use the name of the suburb (Northridge, Van Nuys, Sylmar, Studio City, etc.) on the mailing address, whereas West Side suburbs like Brentwood, Ladera Heights, and Miracle Mile use Los Angeles on the mailing address. However, if you were to send something to a SFV suburb and address it to Los Angeles - followed by the correct zip code - I'm pretty sure it would get there. Then, the word "calabazas," from which Calabasas was probably derived, means pumpkins in Spanish.”

“No one expects a visit to the post office, bank or dentist to be pleasant. And yet every time I go to this location I find the customer service of the staff I interact with to be exceptional for the area. They keep the items stocked, will explain costs and postage options in detail and are generally willing to work with folks of all experience levels to get what they need done. I don’t ever feel rushed nor have I found them to be unpleasant no matter the day or length of line. We also have more self service kiosks than Inglewood’s offices. And better stamp variety.”

“I recently sent important documents via registered mail from this Post Office, and I'm thrilled with the experience. The staff was meticulous in handling the paperwork and ensuring my package's security. The quality of their service was exceptional, and the peace of mind I had knowing my items were in safe hands was priceless. This Post Office is my go-to choice for sending sensitive materials.”

“I wanted a printed and email receipt but didn't get either. I was about to walk out pretty upset but then when I turned around I told her lady at the counter that I really needed the receipt because I paid extra for tracking number she let me go right ahead and printed a receipt for me. Great customer service she was really sweet she was the only one there.. even though there was a line she was very patient and welcoming.”

“Waited in a very long line to inquire about sheet music I’d mailed to Australia that had been returned for no reason, tho’ it had correct postage. I was referred to a supervisor, for whom I waited at least another 20 mins. The Supervisor said I had to CALL customer service. What?! All I wanted was to remail music & get credit for the $9+ of postage I’d already paid! Pretty simple. So, he asked one of the postal clerks, who obviously had worked there a long time, and this person made it SO simple! He said there was already plenty of postage on the package and proceeded to simply prepare it to resend! So I’m very curious as to why I waited for a supervisor, who really didn’t have acceptable answers, nor could he do a thing!
Many thanks to Harry, I think it was, who knew the ropes, all answers, and could easily remedy the problem without much ado! Next time I come in, I’m waiting for Harry, period!”

“Considering how bad most post offices have become was surprised how decent this one is. Got in and out quickly, staff were pleasant. Parking can be a pain as they are in an office building with Live Nation.”

“I have to say this post office is a lot better than most that I have seen! Employees are nice, this one is always busy but its place in a very busy residential and business area, so expect to wait in line but then there are days there are very short lines, I come here quite often, to mail packages out. I get done what I need to do, I have never encountered a problem with this one!”

“The ladies at this post office have been consistently helpful and cheerful. It's the only post office I will go to in person. I really enjoy them and I've been using this post office for 20 years! My particular mail lady is terrific as well, Rita. Sometimes the lines are long, so I suggest going at odd-off hrs. I think if you are not nice to them, then you might not get a great response. But if you are anything from reasonable and above, you'll have a lovely if not fun experience...”

“I am surprised about some of the negative comments. This has been my post office for 20 years and I have never found the staff less than courteous and professional.”

2.3 Poor107 Reviews

“I just noticed several people expressed unhappiness with the post office and some of their staff. It is true that there are longer lines than at other times, on certain holiday occasions, on certain days of the week, and at certain times of the day. However, there are times when there is hardly a line at all. Above all, the staff works diligently and to the best of their ability to serve each and every customer who comes through the door. There have been many times I have arrived and there was a line out the door. But I would get in the line anyway because from my experience the line has always moved along quite quickly. In no time at all the twenty+ people ahead of me were taken care of very nicely and efficiently, and it soon became my turn in just a matter of minutes.

The truth is that we live at a time and in a society where time is short for many people and many of us have little patience. We live at a time when many of us expect immediate gratification, and may remember the days when the Post Office was a special place with a dozen counters to service the public. Those days are gone, unfortunately. However, we must appreciate the great service OUR post office provides us all. We must remember the birth of the postal service dates back to Benjamin Franklin when sending or receiving a handwritten letter was something special. With instant messaging via the Internet and cell phone texting, we have become spoiled.

What would Ben Franklin think about our Post Office today, and the truly immense volume of parcels and letters that are handled and almost all delivered to the intended recipient?

All I can say is: Thank you Ben and thank you to every postal worker, for the gift of communication they have afforded us.

Dr. L Libuser”

“*Sweet Simone at the BH PO*Maybe it's me, but I don't have negative experiences when I come here. I'm not saying the bad reviews are false or exaggerated...but I like to set the tone with a friendly hello...then receive the same in return...and it's all uphill from there. Simone assisted me and was sweet & friendly, advised which padded envelope I should purchase to ensure safe & proper delivery...and she even offered me a piece of candy :)Made sure to arrive today mid-afternoon = post lunch crowd/prior to closing to have something shipped to Newport Beach. I avoided the usual crowds and was the only one there -- but once I completed my task, the line was beginning to form. YMMV at this particular BH Post Office Branch...but it always seems to work for me because first impressions are everything. And it works both ways.”
