“A well-managed Arc’teryx store with attentive service. One of the few stores to carry Veilance pieces. There always seem to be attractive and sparse displays but many more sizes in the back.

A pleasant shopping experience. The most comfortable, lightweight and functional outdoor clothing I’ve found.

The Veilance line is appropriate for urban wear, with Japanese styling. Often simple and oversized, occasionally elegant, always without a logo.

The manager helped us recently, and she was simply excellent.”

It is a stereotypical Urban Outfitters, but it brings some fun diversity to the mall with cheaper clothing options and other things you won't find elsewhere. Typically I go here if I am looking for more of a jokey gift, but the products are still good quality. They offer shirts that are funny and cute (among standard designs) which are fun for going to concerts and parties.”

I asked for the name of yesterday's cashier because I'd like to acknowledge her. She was very polite and patient while I tried to get my credit card problem resolved. Her name, I believe is Raji.. thank you all at Madewell 10/28/23Today I went shopping for jeans. I've worn Madewell jeans for quite a few years now so I stopped in there to see if I could find a replacement pair of jeans. I found that the style I currently have do not fit the same way as before so I tried on a new style, Vintage in dark wash. Hummm I liked them but since I'm short, the salesperson, Christina, suggested I try the petite version of the jeans.I decided to go ahead and purchase the ones they had in the store and order the petite version. When it came time to process the purchases, my credit card kept getting declined. I called my credit card company and they assured me that the card was working. It still would not process...the cashier there was very kind and patient, which I very much appreciated. She tried and tried and even moved the sale to a different register. Nothing worked.Brian, one of the managers came over to see what was happening and took the time to assist me in determining what the problem was. I am very appreciative of his professionalism and patience as we continued to try to get my card to work. It turned out that the simple purchase transaction went fine, but there was a problem with the on-line order where my card address was different from the ship to address. Brian hung in there with me trying everything and never showed any impatience.I am very impressed with the level of customer service and patience I experienced today...It was not a huge sale, just a pair of jeans.Thank you Madewell for the excellent customer service. I will go back another day to see if the problem has been resolved so I can order another pair of jeans..”

“I’m very frugal and usually buy deeply discounted yet high quality clothes on eBay so I’d never shop at this store myself because it’s expensive. I’ve received gifts from this boutique, however, and not only is their clothing beautiful but every delivery is packaged charmingly as well.

This boutique is a small business and well curated. I’ve accumulated hundreds and hundreds of dollars in gift cards to department stores because I can never find anything I like but I know I wouldn’t have that problem here.”

“I love shopping at the store for the men in my life. I recently bought a shirt for my daughters boyfriend for Xmas. I gave two shirts in different sizes to see which fit better and wanted them back so I could wrap them as presents. He did not want to give one back because he liked it so much. I finally convinced him to return it. He's very fit but a little muscular and loved the slim, large fit. It's now a joke in our family that it's his favorite shirt to my daughters annoyance. On top of that, they have an amazing selection unique items I haven’t seen at other locations. This Palo Alto store is officially my home location, and I will definitely be back.

“This was fun. Blondie and I stopped by to just look around. I'm not in a position to shop here, except for something special perhaps. On the first floor is the cologne/perfume area, and I looked for a Dolce & Gabbana area, which they don't have. When I asked someone, I got attention from three people who were eager for me to try some exclusive brand that NM carries. We started talking about cologne scents like others discuss wine, which was new for me. Do I like citrus, or something a bit astringent? I didn't even know how to answer, but they had plenty of options for me to try. They handed me a glass of champagne, and even offered a second, which I declined. I took a look at the third floor restaurant and bar, because I was more likely to eat there than shop much elsewhere in the store. The menu looked casual impressive. Again, I really enjoy looking around a NM, regardless of whether I get anything.”

“Wandered into Marine Layer as it was my first time in the shopping center and I had recognized some of the clothes that were out on display from the outside that I had seen in other small boutiques. I did not know much about the brand until that day. The guy on staff was super nice and knowledgable in the brand and the clothes. I learned a lot on my first visit and it had left a memorable mark. If you haven't felt the material of the clothes, well, they feel absolutely amazing! I like how a lot of their styles are classic items while others have more style and fun colors, patterns, or materials used. I created a mental list of some of the items I hope to add to my cart when I am able to again. He mentioned how some of these items would be great to wear while traveling and I totally can picture it. Comfy, casual, can be fashionable in your own way, dress it up or down, there are many ways to style Marine Layer clothes. I also liked how this is a San Francisco brand. Thought the fitting room decor back area was also really nice - set a nice mood. The t-shirt or apparel vending machine in the back was also a cool little thing they had there. Some of the items are on the pricey side, but there are also reasonably priced items and some that have a deal like buy 3 get % off or something of that nature. They had a good amount of items on their sale section too.”
