Allendale Park is a welcoming community space that offers a variety of recreational facilities, including a nice ballpark, playground, picnic areas, and four pickleball courts. The park is popular among locals with a range of skill levels, from beginners to advanced players, and features a friendly atmosphere. The pickleball courts are well-maintained, with proper netting and lines, and are busy during peak hours from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., with games often played on a four-on-four basis. It is noted that playing past 10 p.m. is discouraged due to noise concerns from nearby residents. The park also has a snack shack with good food options, especially on days when baseball games are held, and nearby bathrooms for convenience. Dogs are welcome, and there are picnic tables facing the courts, making it a good spot for families and social gatherings. The park's overall environment encourages community involvement, with opportunities for local youth and parents to help keep the park clean. Parking is available nearby, and the park is accessible and kid-friendly, featuring a playground with sawdust and benches. Overall, Allendale Park provides a pleasant outdoor experience for players and visitors alike.
Been playing pickleball here for about 3 years. Skill level ranges from beginner to 4.5. This is generally a welcoming environment but getting into higher level games usually requires knowing someone or just playing very well. Busiest times are 9-1pm & 5-10pm. Weekends tend to be busier. Courts are unlocked at 7am everyday
