One thing that has really helped me is the accountability and feedback they provide. Having someone checking in with you on your progress and goals as well as tracking results (in-body scans) has really supported me on a daily basis. They set you up to win and provide resources to help get you there (meal plans, test results, recipes, mindset, etc) couldn’t be happier with my decision to join this gym. “The Camp Pasadena has gotten me back into exercise after years! The schedule has something for everyone. The trainers are all fantastic- motivational, informative, approachable and helpful. I really appreciate that I don't worry about injuring myself because they are there to correct my form. The environment is welcoming to people of all athletic and fitness backgrounds. In 45-minute workouts I get my heart rate up, I feel stronger, and I leave with more energy. Highly recommend!!!”

“I have been going to Carina’s for 3 years now. My session is an hour and starts with 10 minutes of cardio, followed by core, then arms/legs etc. A few people come in every half hour and so there ends up being around 3-6 people working out at any given time. But she prescribes different exercises for each person based on your individual strength and needs. I started going here toward the end of the pandemic because she diligently wipes down all the machine after each person uses it. One of the best things about Carina’s is she creates a very friendly and social environment. It’s the reason I have been so consistent about my two times per week! Everyone enjoys talking to each other and I look forward to catching up with my new friends all the time! She offers sessions Mon/Wed evenings and most mornings.”

“Such a great community and vibe. Especially welcoming for beginners. While most classes are different from each other, every exercise is always explained well and there is a warm up leading up to it. I mostly only did hot yoga before starting a few months ago and classes here have helped me get comfortable with weight lifting and shifting my focus to functional movements. The coaches are very knowledgeable and incredibly funny which makes classes pretty enjoyable.”

Josh, who runs the gym, has been training in Muay Thai since he was a kid, and it shows in his skill, discipline, and coaching style. Now his own son is following in his footsteps as a fighter, which speaks volumes about the passion and family legacy behind this place.

The other coaches are excellent too—especially Brandol, who also started training when he was young. Their combined experience means every class is packed with knowledge, solid technique, and a motivating energy that keeps you pushing yourself.

“I discovered Resistance Athletics (RA) through one of the coaches I met at a local running club. “I love Breakthru Fit Training Studio's small group training!! Its always a great workout with lots of variety. I have always found it to be a friendly atmosphere with the right balance of challenge, support and community so you can meet your fitness goals.There are plenty of weights and equipment along with plenty of room. There's also a large outdoor patio space that is used for part of the workout. I really appreciate the opportunity to be outdoors and the variety it provides. Phil is an amazing and knowledgable trainer who always motivates you to do your best and challenge yourself.The location is super convenient, clean, bright and the parking is incredibly easy. I highly recommend Breakthru Fit Training Studio!”

“When I began looking to rejoin Curves after many, many years, I found this club in Pasadena.I made an appointment to come in and have a complementary workout and see how I like the place. I must admit that the club looked dated and worn out. I was really considering leaving without joining when I met Sharon.Sharon is the new owner who took over recently after the past owner died. Sharon owns another Curves and knows how this franchise needs to be operated. She took me through my paces and got a really good sweat going. Then she told me about her plans for the club. I was still considering leaving, but something about Sharon's determined spirit convinced me to join.I have been a member since late April 2023 and Sharon has been true to her word. I don't even recognize the place because she's made so many positive changes. The place is really beautiful and she's not done yet!!!The other members are so friendly and I always get out of my workout what I put in. The staff is encouraging and always ready to help.I am so glad I decided to join this Curves. I have lost 10 pounds and several inches from all over my body since joining. Curves is still the very best gym for my success and I am so thankful it's still here and thriving!”

“If you’re looking for an excellent workout, with undoubtable results, with an excellent, intuitive, super-informed and flexible coach, in a totally unpretentious and friendly gym, then this is the place for you.Jesse oversees several people (usually between 2 and 6 people at a time) doing his intelligently and carefully designed one-hour workouts that include weight lifting of many varieties, calisthenics and cardio. How he manages to keep track of everyone’s needs (folks who are at different ages, fitness levels, etc) is beyond my comprehension but he does it easily and with aplomb.Participants range in age for their 20s up to 70s. The gym is not a ‘scene’ it is down-to-earth and folks are genuinely nice and respectful and just going their thing.I cannot recommend this class more highly. I hate working out and I always will (it’s just one of those things for me, I’m afraid!) but coming here, with all the super nice folks, and Jesse especially, and seeing and feeling the results, makes me hate it way less than ever before!”

“I’ve been a member of HIIT IT Pasadena for two years now and have throughly enjoyed the workouts and also the results I have seen from them. Huge difference in my cardio vascular health - that even my doctors gave me feedback on changes in my health. The workouts are all very challenging yet really fun and they vary the workouts throughout the week. The coaches/trainers are all very supportive to your fitness goals and are dedicated to helping you reach those goals - they also have classes on healthy nutrition. love both coach Ralph and coach Christian! “I only went to this OTF once because my fave coach, coach Garmen, from La Cañada was scheduled here on an evening I could go out of my way to pop into her class. Love this facility. Wish I lived closer to this location, but I went to see my fave coach and it was my first time on the new treadmills and it was a fantastic workout! The energy in this location from the coach and the members was so exciting! Definitely recommend checking out this OTF & trying a class with Garmen!!”

“I joined this gym with no intention of working with a personal trainer, and now I’m writing this review to rave about one. Anyone looking for a knowledgeable, patient, yet challenging fitness instructor should sign up with Michael Gilliam. He introduces new and effective ways to target specific muscle groups and uses his Muay Thai expertise to offer clients an exciting kickboxing component. After each session, I feel sore enough to know I got a terrific workout, but not so sore that I can’t function. Overall, Michael’s personable demeanor and well developed sense of kinesthetics makes him an excellent fitness coach.The cherry on top, this gym is super clean and staffed with the friendliest people. Everyone really just minds their own business and works out. It’s great.”

“Sick spot especially if you want a cheap boxing gym to set up at considering how pricey it is at other boxing gyms for a monthly membership. They have a little spot open for you to set your own double end bag ! 5 heavy bags always accessible to you except at class hours.

Definitely a nice area if you just want to train in peace and the members are always respectful and easy to approach making friendly connections an easy process.

Highly recommend if you like to train and it’s nice and air conditioned at all times none of that terrible 24 hour fitness treatment definitely worth the money for comfort.”

“I have been a member now 5 months and wanted to leave a great review. Pretty much every time I enter, the person at the front desk greets me (and others) in such an authentic, friendly way. It is really nice to have this experience. As for the facilities, they are spacious and clean. Seems like I see someone cleaning every time I'm there. Except at peak times when you might need to wait a while for a specific machine, all other times are pretty relaxed. Tons of cardio machines. The bathroom and locker room (at least on the men's side) is definitely clean. I'm glad I chose this particular gym.”
