“Best Wine Shop in Pasadena. Nicole can decipher what you want, even when you aren't sure how to describe it. Through her thoughtful questions and amazing listening, discovering new wine that you love becomes easy. She can also pair brilliantly if you need a bottle for a meal. 10/10!!!”

“I came in the night before Thanksgiving and was assisted by Sterling! He was very helpful and awesome for recommending the best tequila to make for a mixed drink. Any question I had, he had the answer and his recommendations were spot on. I also came in about 20 minutes before closing, and he did not seem in any rush assisting me like any other place would be. I call that great customer service. Thank you so much Sterling!!”

“WoW! *The* best selection of available products I've seen outside Whisky Exchange in London and High Spirits in Poulsbo. I've seen many things here I've never seen anywhere else. Impossible to go wrong here.”

“COVID-19: Social distancing is not enforced at this establishment. Some of the staff wears a mask. All customers are not expected to wear a mask. It's optional now. Some of the staff also wears gloves. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is open and available with no limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was grabbing some wine from this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment including service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is nonexistent. Street parking only. Staff: The store itself is clean, organized, and tidy. The staff here are very friendly and knowledgeable. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum.”

“Their fried chicken was PERFECT! I was in the area doing security, prepping for a tv show that's gonna be shooting nearby & got hungry. When I get REALLY hungry, my go-to is Fried chicken. Being that I'd never been to Stater Bros., I was REALLY skeptical. But, once I got in my car & took that 1st bite, it was all she wrote! I got 3 thighs & a drumstick, and didn't stop until there was nothing but bones! I didn't even stop to drink anything, it was THAT good! I live in Reseda, but I'll definitely be back because I've joined a hiking group that comes to this area! Well done, Stater Bros.!”

“Reminiscent old-school ‘Dena mom ‘n’ pop store, just how I remember in my own close-by neighborhood long before coming here for the first time. Friendly staff, decent prices, quick in-pay-out.”

“A quick stop to pick up some Port wine for another day. Our nephew is visiting some people in independent living and wanted to take them some beverage they will enjoy. Sweet guy that he is. Staff were helpful in locating the Port. Free street parking.”

“Love this market. Love it. This place got seriously amazing back in January 2022 when new owners took over and since then, I've been coming a few times a week if not a few times per DAY.Picture the hard-to-find type products you've grown to love from farmers markets and artisanal grocery venues, all stacked nicely in a little neighborhood brick and mortar. The offerings are constantly changing, with intriguing new adds popping up all the time. It's a small shop, and they maximize the space by keeping it fresh with new products while also being slick enough to keep a home for their high-demand staples. I've found some serious gems here. Yuzu miso paste, small-batch flour tortillas from Kansas made with avocado oil, these little chocolate-peanut butter candies by Tom Bumble that are like Butterfingers but better and with no dairy. My list goes on but ain't nobody got time to read "Justin's top 100 Altadena Bev Finds." Fresh bread daily, snacks, beautiful local flowers, ice cream and sorbets, condiments galore, pizzas, salad dressings, pastas, cooking must-haves, candy, and so much more. And of COURSE, we can't forget about the booze! Wine, and beer, and spirits, oh my. And mixers to cover your mixology from A to Z. Again, this isn't a massive store, so they are surgical with what they offer on their coveted shelf space. You can tell every selection throughout the store has a lot of thought behind it. They bring in their alcohol and food vendors regularly for free tastings which is a bonus. I've sampled (and usually then purchased) so many products I don't think I would have otherwise ever picked up. Plus, there are frequent food pop-ups ranging from pizza, burgers, vegan Israeli food, perogies, bakeries, and beyond. My tip is to go follow them on IG so you can catch the weekend lineup.Anyway, you get it. A semi-bougie market with small-neighborhood charm. The staff are topnotch and always down to help you find a good wine or recommend anything else for your kitchen. I've yet to meet an employee who wasn't genuinely friendly and knowledgeable of what they have in the store. Great place to grab small gifts, too. It's my favorite market, check it out. According to my bank app, we've been here over 125 times since it opened up in 2022. That's.... a lot. Maybe too much, I don't know. But totally worth it. Cheers.”

“Showcase is an absolute staple for all things beer and liquor in the city of Pasadena and surrounding areas. The extensive amount of liquor, wine, and beer displayed at this location is second to none. The hospitality shown to me by Mike and his employees was, hands down, one of the best experiences I've had inside a location similar to this. Understanding the ins and outs of liquor, what to buy, what's popular, can be daunting, but Mike and his people made me feel comfortable about the whole process. This is a place that has earned a life long customer in me and my family and friends. Thanks for everything Mike.”

“Before heading to Pasadena yesterday, my car gas gauge was at 2 bars. I said I'll just get gas after my workout. Sure enough... my gas gauge was blinking upon leaving my workout location LOL. I had to quickly find a gas station. Well, the nearest gas station was at least 5 minutes from where I was at. It was between Chevron or Shell. Guess who won? You got it... Shell!Funny, as I was driving to Shell, I saw Chevron, but it was on the other side of the street that I was driving on so I said I'll just stick with Shell. Great corner location on Del Mar Blvd and Arroyo Parkway. Clean exterior. Prices were several cents cheaper than Chevron... yay! They also have a food mart, but I didn't go in. I prefer to pay at the pump unless I really need to go inside. If they run out of paper, I just make myself a note on gas cost and be on my way and not bother going inside to get receipt. Anyway, thanks Shell for being present when I needed you most!”

“This is now my go-to liquor store in Pasadena. I immediately noticed how clean it is, and I like their selection of both candy and drinks. Their prices are great too, and it's conveniently located off the 210 freeway close to Pasadena City College. I definitely recommend this place if you need a quick coffee before class. (:”

“Lori completely saved the day with a same day delivery of extremely rare wines - we had a wine emergency involving a shipment that didn’t come in on time. Lori went above and beyond to make sure we got our wines on time. I will absolutely be asking her for help on future projects (hopefully with more lead time ?). Thank you Lori!!!”

“Unbelievable spot with an incredible selection. Prices are generally better than all other liquor places. The prices are competitive for collectors who are looking for rare spirits. I liked that about this store. I did some research before I bought some rare whiskies here.”

“If your a local this is the place! Is the definition of convince store. I've been going here for 7 years every employee is always so respectful never moody or bland. Everyone loves the Irish guy before they fired him. Everyone else is cool. If your not in the area you come from Beverlyhills yea you may have some judgment because of the homeless people that pass by which in my opinion they are just people they mind their own buissness.”

“This store provided needed foods and products during the 2020 COVID pandemic that I couldn’t find at the big chain stores. Their staff is friendly and I value them in my neighborhood. Also, they have wonderful fresh chicharonnes for those who are into that particular pork product ??”

“I was down the street at Tops and decided to stop buy and exchange a Lottery scratcher winner. The older cashier man was not that friendly with a frown for a welcome instead of smile, but oh well. It's a small store but with basic convenience items most customers are looking for.”

“This place has almost everything that you can imagine. The only thing I didn't find was foot fungus medicine and coloring books. Other than that I think they'd a had everything anyone could ask for. So if you're in this area and you need something that's the place to go late or on special occasions when you can't get to any other stores they have it all”

Love when you can banter with staff (could have been the owner).I’ve been here a few times, usually when I’m getting Shabu next door and always a good experience. Wanted to leave some feedback for the fun and friendly experience today.Have not tied the snacks or booze yet, but I’m pace has a nice open space and feel. Now hoping the good experience turns into good luck for the lotto!!!”
