“My new favorite wine shop in LA after frequenting several. Nicole and her staff are wonderful. Her deep understanding of all types of wine and relationships she built as a sommelier really shows in the wide selection and fantastic quality of the bottles she sells. I have bought 7 bottles for various occasions - ranging from $20-70+ and have loved every one I’ve walked out with. The quality for the price you pay (especially the more premium wines) is unbeatable. Cannot recommend enough.”

“Monopole is truly one of Pasadena’s hidden gems. Owner Lucy Tarin has created such a warm, welcoming space, and Ray, Wendy, and Patricia make you feel at home the moment you walk in. They are excellent wine connoisseurs, and even if you don’t know much about wine, they explain everything in a way that feels approachable and fun.
It feels like a little escape to Europe right here in Pasadena. With jazz every other Thursday, tarot on Sundays, great wine, and genuinely cool people, Monopole is the perfect place to relax, connect, and enjoy a beautiful experience. Highly recommend. Also an incredible place to have a party.”

“It is a good stop and with front row parking. A straight forward transaction. A vast selection of spirits to start up a party in no time. If I am around the corner vising this is one of my pit stops to grab everything for the party. Prices? Who cares it is convenient. Cashier has Plexiglas all around the counter. “Went the day before Thanksgiving to buy a tomahawk steak but they were sold out. One of the butchers there recommended cowboy cut instead. He explained the different grade of beef and we ended up buying prime cuts at $27.99/lb. It was pricey but definitely worth the price as it was buttery soft and a big hit at our Thanksgiving dinner.”

“Pat's Liquor has a great selection of drinks, snacks, and smokes- but the humanity they have in this business is the kind that changes lives for the better.
I just stopped in for some quick waters and snacks and the clerk saw me probably looking exhausted and whipped out a flute! It made my day- actually what he didn't know is I had just had a really bad flashback (I have PTSD) and his kindness, music and smile turned my day around!

“I used to come here when it was owned by an old couple. Everything was so outdated back then but they were very nice to me when I stopped by. I was told they sold the store and the store is now being remodeled. The store is so much bigger and is completely transformed into more modern look.
The taco shop is still there thank god! They have tasty soups here so it’s always a plus!
This store has the best price on beers & liquor in town and have a great selection.”

“From the moment I entered the store I felt welcomed especially from the greeting given to me by Daisey!!! She was working up front at the checkout and greeted me with the biggest smile and asked me if I needed help finding anything. Of course I did and she finished with her customer and then away we went. She helped me grab Rum, mixers, Moonshine Shooters, mixing tools ans so much more...
Good thing I had a Bevmo gift card because I had so much in my basket :)
She signed my up with a Bevmo account so I could collect all the points and so I can also take advantage of some of the sales buy 1 get one for $.05...
Overall really nice shopping experience and would definitely recommend this location.

If your not in the area you come from Beverlyhills yea you may have some judgment because of the homeless people that pass by which in my opinion they are just people they mind their own buissness.”
“The best Vons that I ever seen in southern California, we need to call it city of VONS, you have to see to believe it. Food section makes everyone hungry footlong sandwich, Chinese cuisine, all types of salad and chicken dishes prepared to perfection. With friendly and helpful.”

“Before heading to Pasadena yesterday, my car gas gauge was at 2 bars. I said I'll just get gas after my workout. Sure enough... my gas gauge was blinking upon leaving my workout location LOL. I had to quickly find a gas station. Well, the nearest gas station was at least 5 minutes from where I was at. It was between Chevron or Shell. Guess who won? You got it... Shell!Funny, as I was driving to Shell, I saw Chevron, but it was on the other side of the street that I was driving on so I said I'll just stick with Shell. Great corner location on Del Mar Blvd and Arroyo Parkway. Clean exterior. Prices were several cents cheaper than Chevron... yay! They also have a food mart, but I didn't go in. I prefer to pay at the pump unless I really need to go inside. If they run out of paper, I just make myself a note on gas cost and be on my way and not bother going inside to get receipt. Anyway, thanks Shell for being present when I needed you most!”
