You can always find fun new items along with all your staples, and somehow everything just hits. This specific location is especially clean, and everyone is so friendly, which makes the whole experience even better. It’s one of those places you go in for a few things and leave with a cart full, in the best way.”

“This was my first time dropping by the OG Trader Joes store....it is so small and adorable compared to the other ones I've been too. But they had pretty much everything in there that you'd find at any of the other ones, all packed in there nice & neatly organized. It was clean, not too crowded, fellow shoppers seemed happy and were polite..and not that this matters but attractive too....like all of them...everyone in the whole store, and the staff was buzzin around checkin on people and smilin happy to be there. I'd say overall my visit was a success and I'll for sure be going back soon! :)”

“I had the best experience at Chasste Family Market. Drove out today all the way from West Hollywood because I wanted to try their food and pick up some Filipino snacks. I’m a Mestizo so I rarely get a chance to eat Filipino food. These guys treat you like family. They take time to ask every person if they’re familiar with the food. Give you samples and give you the history of the business. I felt good spending my money there. Food was solid. My favorite was the original Turon. Omg the crunch. Nothing like it! I’ll be back. Thank you guys so much. I hope your business continues to thrive!”

“Went the day before Thanksgiving to buy a tomahawk steak but they were sold out. One of the butchers there recommended cowboy cut instead. He explained the different grade of beef and we ended up buying prime cuts at $27.99/lb. It was pricey but definitely worth the price as it was buttery soft and a big hit at our Thanksgiving dinner.”

“Trader Joe's came in at first place according to Korean Times for best places to shop for groceries!! I told the staff that their store, in Pasadena, is always clean, fully stocked and has the friendliest customer service people working there. They have fresh fruits and veggies, a lot of organics to choose from and it's nice they sample new products, like the Belgium heart chocolates today. I had to get some for galentines. Also, they have the best prices for orchids, plants and fresh cut flowers!!”

Their premade Vallarta habanero Amarillo salsa is spicier than some of the romance novels I’ve read ?️ the spice is a slow burn and the salsa is surprisingly savory so it’s hard to stop!”

“I mostly get delivery from Sprouts but I went in myself today, and really enjoyed the experience. Team members were very attentive. Hector the manager for the meat department was very knowledgeable and had great recommendations. My cashier at checkout Jason was very pleasant and thoughtful in handling/arranging my groceries and rang up my purchases even though he was about to go on his lunch break. Other store employees checked in to make sure I found everything I needed and I did. I really love Sprouts and happy I came into this store.”

“The marinated chicken wings are some of the best I have ever gotten. Definitely recommend this place for marinated chicken wings. The rest of the market offers a good variety of Armenia, Russian and middle eastern food items but the prices are little on the pricey side compared to other similar markets. Over if you need a specialty food item local to this area it’s a good place.”

“I go for their small meat department. Small, but extremely high quality meats. The department staff is friendly and they make me feel like an old friend. I'm always greeted with a smile when at the checkout registers. This market is relatively small, but it's jammed-packed with delightful things to discover and find. I suggest that you visit for yourself. Stroll around and be amazed at the produce, the teas, desserts and the exotic foods and delicacies. Walk into this friendly, inviting and fun spot. Walk out a repeat customer.”

“Food 4 Less has a great selection of foods at good prices! Of the three main stores on the Lake Avenue. Target has the most exotic inventory that tends to be a little pricey where's Food 4 Less is great for single home families and Grocery Outlet. Grocery Outlet has a very vegan inventory and Carries minimal mainstream Goods nutritional drinks another common main store inventory! Having these three stores on Lake Avenue is one of the wonderful features about coming over to Lake Avenue both North and South and to mention all the restaurants little coin stores a great Pizzeria called Pinocchio's and it's wonderful to come to the area and experience the damage that the fire did to the area! Altadena is a beautiful place and the Reconstruction efforts are currently ongoing and looking very good I just moved here to Altadena and it's a great place for kids to run around and not worry about being harassed by the unsavory types! And the bus runs frequently up and down North and South Lake Avenue at all the stores on Lake Avenue! It's an excellent place to go shopping and just sit down and get served at one of many beautiful restaurants in the area and I highly recommend it! The fresh food and veg department is larger and somewhat more plentiful than one expects in a smaller Smart & Final store.”

“This is a great specialty market. I like to come here when I need something that ordinary markets don't have, like chia seeds or French Dijon mustard. And they have fresh cupcakes pack. I got the red velvet. All delicious!! The staff are helpful as well, whatever you need help finding. Today, I only had a minor problem locating my Amazon prime code on my phone but that was my fault, I had it before and even got discounts.”

“I was craving some Turkish delights candy, and found this place on Yelp and bookmarked it. Since I was in Pasadena running errands, I decided to make a stop by here. The shop is small, but charming! Brightly lit with lots of yummy products lined up on the walls and throughout the shop: Dried fruits, roasted nuts, seasonings, buckets of nuts and what I call Turkish delights, but it's called Mediterranean Delights here. I was hoping for the pretty, extravagant ones I saw on the Yelp pictures, but they only had some pre packaged ones in bins. I like that they're in a sealed wrap so they last longer. There are a lot of packaged snack items that would make great gifts. Since I am nuts for nuts, I had to give these roasted treats behind the counter a try. The proprietor there was super friendly and let me try some pistachios before I bought them. There were so many flavor options I had trouble narrowing down what I wanted. I settled on lemon pistachios and sesame peanuts in addition to a few of the Mediterranean delights. The nuts are flavorful and tasted fresh and crunchy. The candies were pretty good also. All the loose items are sold by the pound and prices are pretty reasonable. Highly recommend this shop if you're looking for some fun flavored snacks!”

“I used to come here when it was owned by an old couple. Everything was so outdated back then but they were very nice to me when I stopped by. I was told they sold the store and the store is now being remodeled. The store is so much bigger and is completely transformed into more modern look.
The taco shop is still there thank god! They have tasty soups here so it’s always a plus!
This store has the best price on beers & liquor in town and have a great selection.”

“Tried this local meat market for the first time yesterday and the carne asada and chicken with their marinade is so tasty. I am sometimes hesitant in purchasing marinated meat from places but this place, you can tell the meat and chicken were fresh and he marinated the chicken right then and there. And this place is $4 cheaper on carne asada than our local markets. Good customer service too. This will be my new place for meat and chicken.”

“It is a good stop and with front row parking. A straight forward transaction. A vast selection of spirits to start up a party in no time. If I am around the corner vising this is one of my pit stops to grab everything for the party. Prices? Who cares it is convenient. Cashier has Plexiglas all around the counter. “Hi , i have driven by alot , in last few years , but never stopped by , til i finally did on wedsnesday. I wanted some pork chops. They have great prices !!! Will definitely be going back. I did have a little incident ( but come to find out ) i was wrong !!! So went today to apoligize to the worker at the register. Ps. it was reg. an item i thought i was charged for , but wasn't in the bag. Anyway , ended up being the same price as the Guatamalen coffee i had bought , both were 8.00 !!! So i got confused , when i saw that , becuz it does not spell out , certain items on the receipt. But i went to apologize to her and gave her little giftcard i had ( 2 ) :) when she first saw me again , i knew she was annoyed thinking i was there to complain , but i told her , no , wanted to apoligize in person. :) Also this bakery is directly across the street , has lots of mexican pastries , cookies , conchas , few sandwiches and Cafe de Olla too”

“What a cute little shop of great eats, snacks, and sundry! Funny, it was my 1st time encountering the word "sundry". I had to look it up and get its meaning... sundry means "many things of different kinds". Makes sense as I see a variety of miscellaneous items in the shop such as ramen noodles, over the counter medicines, greeting cards, etc.Tower Snacks & Sundry is located at the bottom floor of the Pasadena Towers. It was recommended to me by my coworker who is a regular customer. Thank you my friend! The owner is a very nice and kind lady. She runs the shop on her own. I know I do.Let's talk about the great eats... you can get breakfast sandwiches or burritos (my favorite has potatoes in it and ask for salsa to be added without an additional charge... thanks to my friend for his good tip), bagels, oatmeal, french toast (this one is yummy!), etc. Lunch offers salads such as Chicken Caesar, Chef, or Oriental, sandwiches like roast beef, pastrami, club with turkey and bacon (my favorite... so big and tasty!), ham egg & cheese (love it!), tuna melt (surprisingly very good!), grilled chicken wrap (my least preferred item, but you may like it), and more. As for beverages, there are coffee, tea, and smoothies. I love the Three Berry smoothie! I get it every time. I usually get the smaller size. They do have the larger size... just ask for it. The Strawberry & Banana and Mango smoothies could be better... they need more fruit flavors in them IMHO. You can still try them... they may suit your taste buds better.I have become a regular customer since Day 1. I have tried almost all the breastfast and lunch items. There are a few items I have yet to try... I will eventually get to them... you know I will LOL. Everything I have tried have been delicious and tasty. Portions are good. Although I wish the breakfast sandwich could be bigger. Credit card service charge of $0.75 will apply if you spend under $10.00. Cash is best unless you're spending more than $10.00 like myself. There are tables and chairs outside for dining.I love supporting local businesses so I will continue to support Tower Snacks & Sundry when I'm in the Pasadena area.
