“Every time I'm in the mood for some good Filippino food, I always stop by Chaaste for a quick takeout. Christian and his family are always welcoming and very pleasant to talk to. And they're very helpful. They have fresh hot food for purchase by the container/box sizes. I always get a little bit of this and that. Today, I got the 2 chicken skewers, lumpia shanghai, beef kaldereta, pancit bihon, and their famous mama san turons. If the weather was warmer, for sure halo-halo would be on the list, too (i always get that during the summer!!). And I also picked up a can of coconut water from the market side. Everything is delicious!! Come and try it for yourselves, and support the local small family business.”

“I go for their small meat department. Small, but extremely high quality meats. The department staff is friendly and they make me feel like an old friend. I'm always greeted with a smile when at the checkout registers. This market is relatively small, but it's jammed-packed with delightful things to discover and find. I suggest that you visit for yourself. Stroll around and be amazed at the produce, the teas, desserts and the exotic foods and delicacies. Walk into this friendly, inviting and fun spot. Walk out a repeat customer.”

“Trader Joe's is a great store! Lots of items to choose from, pretty clean aisles, staff is awesome and they have pretty good prices too! Highly recommend ? ? ?”

“Always great service, selection, frozen mashed sweet potatoes, spicy pecans, San Marzano tomatoes, flowers. Love going there every time. If they are out of something (i.e, blueberry and vanilla yogurt) its a supply chain issue not TJs. The employees always seem to be busy, and have great work ethic. Never left truly upset or disappointed, can't think of many places about which I'd say that! I can be rather picky about food and knowing what I seek in grocery. In TJ's I can be comf that I will leave with quality ingredients with which I can make something yummy no matter the occasion. keep it up y'all!”

“The basturma is fabulous and the service is good. Not much else to say. We worry about who will take over the business, quality, and tradition/s once Garo and his wife retire.”

“I was craving some Turkish delights candy, and found this place on Yelp and bookmarked it. Since I was in Pasadena running errands, I decided to make a stop by here. The shop is small, but charming! Brightly lit with lots of yummy products lined up on the walls and throughout the shop: Dried fruits, roasted nuts, seasonings, buckets of nuts and what I call Turkish delights, but it's called Mediterranean Delights here. I was hoping for the pretty, extravagant ones I saw on the Yelp pictures, but they only had some pre packaged ones in bins. I like that they're in a sealed wrap so they last longer. There are a lot of packaged snack items that would make great gifts. Since I am nuts for nuts, I had to give these roasted treats behind the counter a try. The proprietor there was super friendly and let me try some pistachios before I bought them. There were so many flavor options I had trouble narrowing down what I wanted. I settled on lemon pistachios and sesame peanuts in addition to a few of the Mediterranean delights. The nuts are flavorful and tasted fresh and crunchy. The candies were pretty good also. All the loose items are sold by the pound and prices are pretty reasonable. Highly recommend this shop if you're looking for some fun flavored snacks!”

“Their fried chicken was PERFECT! I was in the area doing security, prepping for a tv show that's gonna be shooting nearby & got hungry. When I get REALLY hungry, my go-to is Fried chicken. Being that I'd never been to Stater Bros., I was REALLY skeptical. But, once I got in my car & took that 1st bite, it was all she wrote! I got 3 thighs & a drumstick, and didn't stop until there was nothing but bones! I didn't even stop to drink anything, it was THAT good! I live in Reseda, but I'll definitely be back because I've joined a hiking group that comes to this area! Well done, Stater Bros.!”

“The Original! You have to stop-in just to be able to see that. We love Trader Joe's, and will stop in any chance we get. Parking is a bit hard, and we ended up finding spots in the alley behind the store (we knew it was OK since a sign proclaiming it was only for TJ customer was prominent). That being said, it would be really difficult to bring a shopping cart to that area so would recommend parking there only if you can hand carry it. As for the store itself, it tended to be on the smaller side, but seemed to have all the necessary essentials and the checkout line was very short. We were going to be in (South) Pasadena late, so we couldn't buy anything that would perish without refrigeration. We picked up our favorite (elote seasoning), and will try two things that I haven't tried before (peri peri sauce and red wine vinegar). We were also looking for pizza sauce, but the only one sold is the fresh, needs-refrigeration type (very close to the fresh pizza dough, which is very good btw). As usual, prices are low and the associates were all kind and helpful.”

“Place is great. I visit one to two times a month and so far the staff at check out have been awesome except for a bagger on 3/23 at around 7 pm that was helping out Victoria T. Victor was very courteous. The bagger on the other hand with a light stubble beard was unfriendly and doesn't say a word to anyone. Doesn't smile or make eye contact with anyone. Seems like he doesn't want to be there and gives off a bad vibe.”

“A generally low-key Armenian/Mediterranean/Middle-Eastern store. Lots of variety of both fresh produce and canned goods. There's a fresh deli counter and small meat market as well.”

“Tried this local meat market for the first time yesterday and the carne asada and chicken with their marinade is so tasty. I am sometimes hesitant in purchasing marinated meat from places but this place, you can tell the meat and chicken were fresh and he marinated the chicken right then and there. And this place is $4 cheaper on carne asada than our local markets. Good customer service too. This will be my new place for meat and chicken.”

“I've been coming to this market over 11 years. The guys working here are always very nice. Same staff as long as I can remember. It's more convenient then 7-11 meaning you don't have to get out of your car. Great for those who have a hard time getting around, or have children in the car, (that's usually me). In and out... Glad to have you guys around!”

“It is a good stop and with front row parking. A straight forward transaction. A vast selection of spirits to start up a party in no time. If I am around the corner vising this is one of my pit stops to grab everything for the party. Prices? Who cares it is convenient. Cashier has Plexiglas all around the counter. Wear a mask to enter is encouraged.”

“This is a fairly friendly store, at least at the registers, especially Kevin. The store is clean and well stocked. The manager is also friendly and orders items not in stock for me, which I appreciate. People stocking are at times not friendly but I think many of those folks are from suppliers and have tight deadlines to meet. I enjoy this and three other nearby Smart and Final stores. One minute grouse is their "electronic coupon" specials. No one seems to be able to tell me how to access the additional savings they offer. I just don't buy those items knowing I can't get the additional savings. That's it.”

“This store came up in a search for "Asian market." It's Hispanic/Mexican, NOT Asian! It carries 'Uncle Menudo' brand ramen soup, and lots of seasonings for Tex/Mex cooking, not Asian, for examples.Lots of tortillas and refried beans, no rice noodles, koji, or mirin.”

“The Management team from Avison Young are complete professionals. Kevin Wong and Yu go out of their way to make their tenants feel appreciated and special. They host events such as book and gift fairs that allow their busy tenants time to do holiday shopping without the stress of having to go to a mall. One could do no better than to have this address as their corporate home.”

“What a cute little shop of great eats, snacks, and sundry! Funny, it was my 1st time encountering the word "sundry". I had to look it up and get its meaning... sundry means "many things of different kinds". Makes sense as I see a variety of miscellaneous items in the shop such as ramen noodles, over the counter medicines, greeting cards, etc.Tower Snacks & Sundry is located at the bottom floor of the Pasadena Towers. It was recommended to me by my coworker who is a regular customer. Thank you my friend! The owner is a very nice and kind lady. She runs the shop on her own. Whenever I am here with other customers, she keeps up with the pace of service quite well. Thank you!I come to find out that the warm and beautiful layout and display of the menu was the wonderful work of my friend who happens to be the same person who recommended this great place. He is very kind and giving of his time and efforts in making a difference. Thank you my friend for making it easy for us to order! I know the owner appreciates your generosity of your time and efforts and wonderful creative art. I know I do.Let's talk about the great eats... you can get breakfast sandwiches or burritos (my favorite has potatoes in it and ask for salsa to be added without an additional charge... thanks to my friend for his good tip), bagels, oatmeal, french toast (this one is yummy!), etc. Lunch offers salads such as Chicken Caesar, Chef, or Oriental, sandwiches like roast beef, pastrami, club with turkey and bacon (my favorite... so big and tasty!), ham egg & cheese (love it!), tuna melt (surprisingly very good!), grilled chicken wrap (my least preferred item, but you may like it), and more. As for beverages, there are coffee, tea, and smoothies. I love the Three Berry smoothie! I get it every time. I usually get the smaller size. They do have the larger size... just ask for it. The Strawberry & Banana and Mango smoothies could be better... they need more fruit flavors in them IMHO. You can still try them... they may suit your taste buds better.I have become a regular customer since Day 1. I have tried almost all the breastfast and lunch items. There are a few items I have yet to try... I will eventually get to them... you know I will LOL. Everything I have tried have been delicious and tasty. Portions are good. Although I wish the breakfast sandwich could be bigger. Credit card service charge of $0.75 will apply if you spend under $10.00. Cash is best unless you're spending more than $10.00 like myself. There are tables and chairs outside for dining.I love supporting local businesses so I will continue to support Tower Snacks & Sundry when I'm in the Pasadena area. By the way, they are open on weekdays only... closed on the weekends. If you're in the neighborhood, drop on by and check them out. They would love to see you and welcome your patronage. I'll see you here! Happy Snack'ing & Sundry'ing!!!”

“Ok, this is a review for the food & not the shop or ambience bcz it's a total hole in the wall & quick pick up mercadito items. I had a gordita de carnitas and it was delicious! The corn gordita itself was fresh and made to order, crispy, solid, good bite & held up to the carnitas. The carnitas were juicy, so good. The beans... abuelita/grandma delish. I'm going back to try the tacos & pozole...”
