I ended up purchasing a 14k 3 heart ring with 3 diamond centers for under $200. Peter was so sweet and even cleaned some of the jewelry I was wearing at no additional cost. “I have been to numerous pawn shops in the area and I stumbled upon Golden State Pawn and Guitar after I had the WORST and I mean WORST experience At Beach Loan Services Pawn shop. I was treated so badly even got cursed at by their employees and to make matters worse when they gave me my change they shorted me $40 bucks I was so upset and wanted to get out of there I didn’t count the change till I got in my car and after that experience of being cursed and talked down too and finding out they cracked my Apple Watch too I just left and didn’t go back inside to get the rest of my change !!!!!!!! After this unprofessionalism of a nightmare experience i took my business else where and never looked back !!
THATS WHEN I FOUND Golden State Pawn and Guitars and I am forever grateful because of the culture the owner brings to his business he genuinely cares about his customers and that’s rare especially when it comes to pawn shops! I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone because after my horrible experiences with the pawn shops in the area I almost gave up on finding a good place, a place where they actually care for their customers and their items. Bobby the owner of Golden State is one of the nicest caring and most understanding people I have ever met. Because of this I still have my MacBook not only was he understanding he gave me a few days past my loan due date just until I got my paycheck to pick up my laptop any other place wouldn’t have ever cared to do this and would have sold it - and I know this because I’ve been threatened by previous pawn shops despite me having a good background and history of paying my loans on time and to be treated so badly and not even that I’ve had my items broken damaged and cracked from previous places (cracked Apple Watch, and a MacBook that was dropped and wouldn’t turn on) so finding Bobby and his pawn shop was a blessing. Not only do I deal with the owner directly the owner is understanding and kind and you can rest assure what ever he holds onto is stored away safely !!!

“I have been to this shop and the 2 attached stores as well, for decades. I am almost 50 but have gone there since my 20s for selling coins and pawning jewelry to buying rolls of state quarters and all baseball card collecting merchandise. I knew the former owner and he had custom made jewelry GORGEOUS PIECES in the front display case and I swore one day I'd own one. What I love about this place is their knowledge and expertise at jewelry repair. I've had several pieces fixed and they are fair and polite and have always been kind and accommodating. I have never been disappointed. The custom 850$ ring I bought my daughter now wears and it's a 16 diamond and lab created alexandrite and still stunning as the day I bought it. Compared to the 18k gold with a 3ct peridot for 350$ in China town the alexandrite has stood the test of time. My daughter has had the ring since age 12 she's 22 now and I bought it before my son who would be 25 now had he survived leukemia however my peridot stone ring well the setting can't maintain holding the stone in. My only wish is that this store was open longer hours 7 days a week. I LOVE THIS STORE! highly informed people that let you browse at your comfort anything worth having for value over time...THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO TO FIND IT! If they don't have it they will make it they are OUTSTANDING!”

“Ive always found them to be very fair. And, they (over) explain the terms, even though they're clearly printed on the ticket. I went in recently looking for a certain amount and they told me the item was worth double what I wanted, so they offered me an increased loan, if I wanted it. This is the only shop I trust”
