About Lions Park
Lions Park in Placerville, CA, is a 24-acre community gem. Established in 1968 by the Placerville Lion's Club, the park offers a variety of recreational amenities, including two tennis courts, four pickleball courts, two softball fields, a frisbee disc golf course, a children's play area, restrooms, walking trails, and picnic tables with BBQs. While the park is generally well-maintained and clean, some reviewers note that the sports fields may need some improvements, such as addressing dangerous ruts and uneven surfaces. Additionally, the tennis and pickleball courts are locked, and city residents can purchase a $10 lifetime key from the Parks and Recreation Office to access them. Despite these minor concerns, Lions Park is praised as a great venue for tournaments and a "pickleball mecca," with a world-class disc golf course as a bonus. Families with children of different ages can enjoy the separate playgrounds, and the park's picnic facilities make it an ideal spot for outdoor gatherings. Overall, Lions Park is a versatile and well-loved community space that offers something for everyone.
Its a great venue for tournaments but the fields border on being dangerous for players, need some IPM and ruts filled in 😳
