Placerville True Value Hardware is a unique and beloved local hardware store. It is a must-visit location that makes Placerville feel like itself, owned for generations by the same family. The store is an eclectic and historical place with narrow aisles and cramped quarters, filled with years of interesting items. It features typical hardware, building materials, tools, lawn and garden supplies, paint, electrical, and plumbing products. Beyond that, it carries an amazing inventory of eclectic and miscellaneous items, from gold panning equipment and kitchen items to home decorations, gifts, and seasonal goods like chestnuts and caramel. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and provides genuine hospitality and amazing service. This is a very unique store with so much to look at, well worth a visit for a project or just for fun. You won't be disappointed.
Needed some screens made for my apartment windows. Not many places do this apparently. Had the absolute pleasure of meeting a gentleman named Tom. This was THE definition of hometown/neighborhood service. Thank you!

Narrow Isles, cramped quarters, eclectic displays... what is not to love about this place? Great for when you are working on a project or just looking for something fun. Also very helpful staff. This is one of those places that makes sure Placerville feels like Placerville.

Love this historical hardware store. Owned for generations by same family. Ask Albert to show you the pet raccoons. Great people and amazing service. Fix the kitchen sink or pan for gold! Get down to the brass tacs here!
