“Casa Real was the first wedding venue we toured, and we fell in love with it immediately. It was our first-choice venue from the very beginning, but my fiance and I ultimately decided on having a destination wedding. If we had decided to have a local California wedding, we would have chosen Casa Real without hesitation. Christy was the one who did our venue tour and who was our primary contact. We truly enjoyed working with Christy. She was so kind, responsive, and thoughtful throughout the entire process, and she made everything feel so easy and welcoming for us. Thank you Christy! <3”

“We host our annual company holiday party at The Club at Castlewood every year, and it is always a truly beautiful event. Everything—from the hors d’oeuvres and bar service to the décor, staff, venue, and stunning views—consistently impresses our team.

I would like to specifically thank Sandy, the Director of Catering; Omkar, the on-site manager for the day; Jason, our bartender; and Marisol, a valued member of the staff. They went above and beyond to ensure our guests felt welcomed and truly enjoyed themselves. In fact, every staff member exemplifies care, professionalism, and accommodation.

I highly recommend this venue for any special event. It was truly a magical night!”

“My one major vice is that I love cigars. The owner and staff here are amazing, they really know their stuff. The prices are the best in the Bay Area. They have an amazing lounge with 2 TVs for watching sports. My brother and I stumbled upon this place a few years back and I'm so glad we did.”

“My work hosts meetings here occasionally by renting out rooms. Great amenities. Volley ball, basketball, boccee, rental bikes, game room, etc. Just wish the cafe/cafeteria was open.”

“This golf course offers beautiful scenery and decent turf conditions, but make no mistake – it's far from an easy round. The challenging layout ensures you'll be tested on every hole.

Our group of three had a bit of an interesting experience with the cart policy. We had one person join us, making us a threesome. We were informed that no more than two golf carts are allowed per team, so I ended up sharing a cart. However, as we played, we noticed the group in front of us consisted of six people with three golf carts. This seemed to contradict the policy we were given.

Despite this minor inconsistency, the overall experience on the course was positive, largely due to its scenic beauty and challenging play. Just be prepared for a tough, but rewarding, golf experience!”

“Been to Alameda County Fairgrounds a few times now. First for the county fair and then again for a reptile expo. Totally different experiences but both were solid.

The fair is what you’d expect. Food, rides, a lot going on, gets busy but in a good way. The reptile expo was actually really cool too. Way more organized than I thought it would be. Easy to walk around and check everything out without feeling packed in. Definitely a good spot for events like that.”

“I had a very pleasant couple of days at this hotel. The front desk staff were quite frankly delightful both at check in and check out (shout-out to Juliette) and so lovely to us. The rooms were very clean and tidy.

I was very surprised that the building we stayed in didn't have an elevator, but they made that clear before they gave us the second floor room we requested, so it was our choice to lug out stuff up and down the stairs. They also upgraded our room free of charge because we prefer to be on a higher floor, which was very kind.

The two things that were less than five stars for me are the weird couch (the back reclined rather steeply and then it had these weird bolster things on the back that sort of pushed your head forward) and that the mattress was firmer than what I usually find in hotels. The rest of my stay was so pleasant, however, that I would not cross this location off my list for the future.”

“Fairly new hotel. Modern, more high end amenities. Very clean. Attentive service. Lots of free parking. WiFi decent but capped at 10mb. Close to mall. Nice sized room. Lots of outlets above desk and center table between beds.”

“There's a mandatory parking fee imposed $10 / day that I was not aware of. And my room was not ready even though I arrived at 4:30pm and check-in is at 3pm and I had already confirmed check-in online 24 hours ahead.”
