“I went there once again to buy a lotto ticket for the Mega Millions and was nicely greeted by the cashier who helped me Greg. He had a cool attitude and said have a great day. “The best low-price grocery store around this area. And it's been recently upgraded, so it's really nice. I go to other places for upscale products like nice cheeses and chocolates. Otherwise the selection is great, people are helpful, and it's a clean, well-lit, and well-stocked store.”

“I bought their prime rib meal for $29.95 and returned 2 weeks later for another one. The meat was excellent, as you may expect--tender, juicy, and seasoned well.The generous sides change weekly and are tasty as well.It's a great bargain for the amount of food you get, plus, the owners and prime rib Pedro are good guys.I need to try their barbecue one of these days.I will definitely return.”

“My husband and I recently celebrated our wedding anniversary and decided to cook at home this time. We got their ribeye and the meat is fresh and definitely high quality. When we cooked it at home, the steak was melt in your mouth delicious! I highly recommend checking out their sides - I liked the macaroni salad. “The store is clean they had a lot of water talk options I like that they keep the bathrooms locked so that they’re not dirty and gross. However, I was a little disturbed at a pair of pants in the trash in the bathroom and a shirt. The employee was real nice and put in the code to let us in the bathroom, they didn’t have much in the way of cat food options but the store was clean. The gentleman who checked us out was really friendly 10 out of 10 would recommend I hear great things about the butchers, but the smell of fish would keep me from getting any kind of meat from this location. If I can smell the fish department from the front door, I can tell that the rest of me is probably not great.”

“2/4/24 This meat market is like the Gelson's of meat markets, everything in its place. It's enticing to shop at a well organized & clean shop. As soon as I walked into the establishment, I was greeted by the staff behind the counter. This is not what expected--where most places ignore you & employees looking like they don't want to be there. It's a nice surprise. Their meat selection is pretty sizable & I am impressed at how neatly stacked & arranged everything is. The prices are reasonable & well worth it for the way things are. I went in to check out if they have guac & salsa (I mean what kind of a carniceria that would not have guac & salsa, right? LoL). They did (see photo), the guac at 8 oz. for $4.99. The salsas (roja & verde) @ $3.49 each. I was hoping they'd have a bigger container for family size and looking back I should've asked. I opted to go elsewhere to buy & now regret not buying one just to taste if it's any good. Based off of just the initial impressions I am giving them a 4 star. I'm hoping that the next time I return & buy/taste their products, it would be a 5 star experience.”

“Don’t listen to the 1 star reviews from snobby people with their head up their butt! This place is AMAZING! The Butchers, Workers & customer service is professional and very helpful & kind. I always come here during lunch for their well known Tri Tip Sammich ? it never disappoints! I’ve taken 2 of my friends to try it & my father and they all loved the Tri Tip. The Prices of their cuts are very good and affordable for the amazing quality you get! 4 fresh natural rib eye steaks for $40 and some change, you can not beat that. Once again I don’t understand these angry reviews from angry people. Take it from a local I highly recommend this Butcher Shop & it makes me never want to have any other meat shop from some average grocery store. As for the angry reviewers complaining about the how expensive it is (it’s not expensive) go to food 4 less. I LOVE Hottinger Family Meats. Feels like home. ❤️”

“10/10...seriously 5 stars ain't enough. So far we have tried the southwest chicken, lemon pepper chicken, shrimp, and ground beef. Each and every item we have tried is, 100%, hands down thee best tasting meat I've had in YEARS!!! 100% recommend them.....prices were decent too...ESPECIALLY for grass fed cuts. Can't WAIT to try their steaks and fish.”

“I have to update my review. Stater Brothers is on it, I really have to give them credit.I had to run in for a few things this morning and I was going to stear clear of the meats department. But, when I was passing that aria I saw two people discussing how to make sure their meats were as fresh and they could be for their customers. I really appreciated that. So I went up to them and talked to the manager Chris. I mentioned my problem and they assured me that they were working on fixing it and refunded my pork for Tuesday and gave me a gift card. I could see that they were taking this problem seriously. I really appreciate that. I couldn't be happier with my experience at this stater brothers market.Old review:I really like this stater brothers market. The staff are friendly, there's lots of parking out front and it's pretty clean and organized. I can easily find everything I'm looking for. I gave a 3 stars because I've continued to have issues with their pork. Half the time it goes bad by the next day or it's already rotten when it leaves the store. I've just gotten my last pack of green smelly pork from this stater brothers, I'm done.”

The beef was great and the service was even better, I got to the store when they were already closed and employees were coming out to go home but a lady opened the doors just for me and let me take what I wanted. “John at the butcher counter was so helpful! My mom and I were shopping for our holiday meals and we were excited to discover Nick's Village Meats. I was searching for a nice cut of meat to make my grandma's traditional sauerbraten and John cut a piece that was perfect. My mom was looking for fresh crab meat for crab cakes and lobster meat for our Christmas seafood feast lobster mac and cheese. After trying several places in the Glendora area that did not have real crab meat (other than legs), we scored ar Nick's! John separated the meat from the shell for us and continurled to ask if there was more he could do. Short of cooking for us, we were set for some amazing dinners. It is now my go to butcher and I'll also be back to try the delicious looking prepared deli counter meals!”

“I was greeted and attended by Marla on 12/15 and I'm so glad people like her exist! She is what customer service used to be pre-pandemic and I'm so glad she has not lost it. I loved that she engaged with me over my breakfast items, asked how I was doing and if I found everything okay. The younger employees could learn a lot from her. Thank you Marla, you made a simple trip very pleasant. Last night 12/27 I was treated by Alan B, as he bagged customers groceries. Great approach! During my visit I asked if there was more tomatillos as it was completely out, he went looking for the attendant in that area, confirmed that he was on his lunch and then proceeded to say "let me go check the back" mind you there were 2 registers open and they were getting backed up. Alan B. back and said they were all out. Sure I left without the tomatillos but it's the fact that he did all he could to help me and then communicated that the shipment would arrive next day. Just like Marla, the younger employees can learn a lot From Alan. This is my home store and it's disappointing that in every visit the customer service is poor! But you both demonstrated awesome service, thank you”

“This store has such outstanding service I feel it necessary to write another review. On Valentines Day morning I went into this store to purchase a few gift items. Again, I had outstanding service. First, I was greeted by the friendly and kind sushi lady. Her sushi is always delicious and fresh. I ended up buying three containers. Then I meet Jason in the bakery department. This young man is phenomenal, and he went the extra mile and made the most beautiful, dipped strawberries. I ended up buying 12 packages to give as gifts. I also bought his beautifully decorated individual jumbo cupcakes. He is an extremely talented individual. Tony, the store manager, Shawn, Randy, Yvonne and Judy are also phenomenal. They are always there to assist, and this day was no exception!”

“The bakery ladies, Vivian and Debbie, were such a BIG help ! I had ordered with a different lady in bakery and she had no personality whatsoever.. especially when we were trying to explain what we were going for and she basically dismissed what we were trying to show her. We go to pick up our cupcakes and they are the wrong color.. we were then taken care of by Vivian and she has customer service and did her best at explaining on paper what color we needed.. we go the next day to pick up our cupcakes and they are the perfect shade of toy story alien green ! A HUGE thanks to Debbie for preparing them beautifully and to Vivian for describing the cupcakes perfectly.”

“I've been coming to this place for the meat for nearly a year; the beef is so fresh and I'm told they are brought one cow per day. The rotisserie chicken gets sold out, call ahead to reserve a whole chicken. My family who is used to supermarket meat notice the improved difference in meat quality from Aljibani too.”

“Love Stater Brothers and always have but miss the days when a butcher was on site all the time. Came to get a 5-bone ribeye roast for the holidays. We usually get a 7-bone but we had less people this year. I was there at 5 pm on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. They did not have a 5-bone ready so someone would have to cut a 7-bone. The kid was sweet though and offered me a combination of a 2-bone and 3-bone which would have been ok outside of a holiday meal. For aesthetic purposes, I wanted one full roast for the table. If you are coming to get a specific cut of meat that requires a butcher you can only do that during the day (like before 4 or 5 pm). The younger staff that works after 4 do not cut meat. Minimally, during holiday weeks, it would be nice to keep a butcher around at least till 6-7 pm for those that can’t get there earlier. Other options I suppose would be to call your order in early in the day and be sure they mark it “HOLD FOR XX” then pick it up later. Other than that, I love Stater Brothers and love their meat department.”
