“Best bike shop with even better prices. Understand this is a non profit and DIY shop. I didn’t know much about bike repair and staff helped me do a full rebuild for a fraction of the cost to have a shop do it. Would recommend 100 times over and please go and learn more about your bike :)”

“I'd liked to write a review, for Community Action Oxnard, CA. This organization really stepped up to plate sorta speak, when it comes to good weatherization in my apt home.
After calling to get simple information about my appliances, and light fixtures they placed me on a waiting list. before I know it they had reached my name. They called me about my need's and they visited, made a really good assessment, even replaced my refrigerator, and stove to a more energy
efficient and it is really nice. They were courteous, and respectful and what I truly liked the most, is how much team work was a major factor. And everyone played a
part in the upgrade to great weatherization
appliances, and more. Community Action....a wonderful organization.
Thank you so much.”

“Harmon Canyon is by far my favorite place for off road bicycling. Not too technical, not too boring, and not too far from home. Just right in every way. If you get to the top of Long Canyon, you are rewarded with a view that stretches from Fillmore to the Channel Islands. If you reach one of the other peaks..... well I don't know I haven't done it yet. Hopefully I will soon!”

“They have been very generous to me when I have needed help. Utilities, food, cat food ,hot meals,blankets... Some times some of the employees can be short with people. I have not had that problem but some people don't realize these people are doing you a favor they don't have to, majority are not getting paid. Check yourself people.”

“I went through the Ventura County Rescue Mission program back in 2006, and it was truly life-changing. It wasn’t just a good program — it was amazing.

Leaders like Carol Robert and Steve Ebinga, along with Tomas and Lodi in the kitchen, held me accountable, challenged me, and believed in me during a time when I really needed it. The program gave me practical skills and helped me see a future for myself that I hadn’t been able to see before.

After completing the program, I worked in the Mission’s thrift stores, which led to managing thrift stores for the next 15 years. That experience eventually opened the door for me to step into senior leadership with a local behavioral health organization.

I truly could not have done any of this without the Rescue Mission. The foundation I gained there — personally and professionally — shaped who I am today.

If you’re currently in the program, keep going. The work is worth it. And to everyone who supports the Mission: please know that lives really do change because of this place. Mine is one of them.”

“Every time I walk in there I'm reminded of how awesome a President Jimmy Carter was and the amazing things he did before and after he was in office. I am always satisfied with any trip to a Restore or any dealings with Habitat for Humanity as a whole organization.”

“First time coming out to this particular air show.
The weather was great (a little warm and humid but nothing unbearable) upon our arrival and check-in was quick and easy.
I appreciated the variety of food trucks/vendors spread out throughout the venue.
A lot of little shops/tents ⛺ to look at in-between the air performances.
The cars on display were really cool ? to look at, it's amazing how far the design of automobiles has come throughout the century.
The airshow was a little less than stellar for me compared to other airshows I've been to in the past but overall it was fairly entertaining.
I enjoyed walking about checking out planes that have flown throughout history.
Getting out of the venue was easy ? and we left feeling good at the end of the day.”

“The Sisters Servants of Mary, along with the Sisters, trained, educated, and experienced as Registered Nurses. They serve all around the world, and in Oxnard, California the Sisters stayed overnight...many nights with my mom in our family home, taking care, praying with, and for her. The Sisters, also uplifted my spirits, and brought joy and healthy spiritual perspectives to me as well. I am forever grateful, for the Sisters Servants of Mary.”

“I made a donation there today and the staff and residents were very friendly and appreciative. One of the residents let me in through the gate and was so appreciative and accommodating that at first I wasn't sure if they were staff. I also helped another resident move another donation into their place and they and their children were very thankful for my help. I was bringing in the donation on behalf of another but now given the experience with staff and residents I would consider donating.”
