Hours: Hampton Inn & Suites San Diego offers a comfortable and convenient stay for both business and leisure travelers. Guests have consistently appreciated the friendly and helpful staff, with particular praise for employees who go above and beyond to assist, including front desk and cleaning staff. The hotel features spacious suites equipped with a microwave, small fridge, and sometimes a couch, making it suitable for families and extended stays. The breakfast is generally fresh, hot, and well-maintained, with staff ensuring tables are clean and coffee is available. The property boasts a range of amenities, including a small workout room, a business center with USB outlets, a large outdoor pool, a hot tub, and outdoor seating and dining areas—all ideal for relaxing after a day of activities. Families visiting local attractions like the zoo or safari park find the location convenient, with easy access to shopping, dining, and entertainment options within a short drive or walk. The hotel’s proximity to Costco and other stores makes it easy to stock up or dine out. However, some reviews mention issues with the property’s condition, such as a bathroom that could be cleaner, carpets that look worn, and maintenance concerns like a thermostat that was barely hanging on the wall. Additionally, the hot water can take several minutes to reach a comfortable temperature, which some guests found inconvenient. Parking is available but requires payment, which was also noted as a minor downside. Overall, Hampton Inn & Suites San Diego is praised for its friendly staff, good service, and amenities, making it a solid choice for both short visits and longer stays, despite some maintenance and comfort concerns.
