“This is my "must stop" place on my drives from Southern California to Northern California. Mary has a gem here. She works constantly to keep her shelves stocked and organized. I asked for something specific and she knew exactly where to look. I have found many gems here and it's fun to shop here. The rows are a bit narrow because she has a lot of goodies. That makes it even more fun. The organization is wonderful and she works hard to keep it up. Highly recommend.”

“The Discovery Shop at 1534 N Main St is the best thrift store in Salinas. My mom passed away from Cancer and this shop is part of the Cancer Society! Secondly, they have great quality of clothes for the entire family, furniture, and toys. They have Holiday sales where you can stock up on all kinds of decorations for your home. You can have quality products a great price, so come see their store. It is next to Safeway on N Main St.”

“I enjoy coming here. The selection is on par with a Goodwill. Don't expect too many high value items, like in other antique shops in town. But you'll find something interesting, if you take your time. It is small and packed with inventory. Most things are reasonably priced. If you're planning on selling something, I'd suggest coming on Monday's after 11am. Come with patience, since one lady does the buying and there is usually a few people selling. I have sold a few things and was offered on par or slightly more $$$ than I had expected. Very fair.”

“I purchased a Silhouette Cameo through the "shopgoodwill" website from this location. The pictures showed that the machine was new with the original box and contents. When it arrived, the original box had been re-packed so carefully that I would not have known it was ever out of the box if not for the pictures. Based on previous experiences with other locations, I was not expecting this level of care and detail to be put into packing up the machine. My order was also sent out within two business days of the auction ending, which is much faster than other locations. I will not hesitate to bid on other items from this location!”

“A really nice & organized store. A huge collection of clothing, and decent collection of books & other knickknacks. Although, very little if any furniture.”

“I hate to admit how many times I have shopped here. In fact I made my weekly stop in here every Tuesday. My friend said he wanted to go with me. He told me to wait until next month so he could go shopping with me. I had to tell him there is new and different inventory every day, and if you see it, better buy it today because it won't be here next week. I have gotten so many good buys here. I love this place.”

“I absolutely love this Goodwill out here in Marina! And I have to give a special shoutout to Tiffany for her exceptional service! From the moment I walked in, Tiffany greeted me with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm. She is always so funny and has genuine conversations with the regulars and all those around. She went above and beyond to help me find exactly what I was looking for, offering valuable suggestions and making sure I left satisfied. But Tiffany isn't the only one here at this Goodwill that is amazing. Every staff member I've encountered during my visit was incredibly friendly, helpful, and dedicated to providing excellent customer service. It's clear that they all take pride in their work and genuinely care about their customers' experience. The store itself was well-organized, clean, and filled with treasures waiting to be discovered. I found myself a pair of brand new boots here that I always get compliments on! Whether you're hunting for clothing, household items, or unique finds, this Goodwill has something for everyone.”

Walking through its doors, I couldn't help but feel the anticipation of unearthing hidden treasures and uncovering the narratives behind each item. What makes Goodwill Central Coast unique is its diverse range of items, from vintage clothing and furniture to books and electronics. The thrill lies in the hunt, as you never know what gem you might stumble upon. But beyond the bargains, it's the knowledge that every purchase supports Goodwill's mission to empower individuals in our community through job training and employment services. It's a store with a heart, where shopping is not just about acquiring possessions but also about making a positive impact. In essence, Goodwill Central Coast is a place where thrift meets purpose.
