“We attended a Hawks Watch for the first time last month and had a great time. We arrived with plenty of time before the free event started. Everyone was directed to park on the grass area. We brought camp chairs, hats, sunscreen, and binoculars. There were snakes to pet and hold, a real eagle nest you can sit in, souvenirs, and a table on humane rat traps. There was a hot dog and burger stand out back too. The presentation was great. We learned so much about the different hawks, falcons, owls, and birds in the Ramona area. The birds were beautiful and such a treat to see them up close. Highly recommend this event!”

“What a phenomenal place! Highly recommend. The owner is lovely and caring. They have numerous staff/ volunteers that can be seen walking and caring for the dogs. It’s beautiful to drive up and will not disappoint. My experience was surrendering an elderly dog for a friend’s father that had passed away. I was helping during this trying time and unfortunately unable to keep the dog myself. We couldn’t find anyone that could keep her. I absolutely love this place - if you want a reputable rescue to donate to, this is one! They also have a “ free items” table of supplies donated with dogs, which they are unable to use. It is located in San Ramon. I left at 9am from RSM and arrived in 1.5 hr for an 11am appt. This was perfect to walk Emma around and check in. I did not wait long at all, even though I was early. Leaving apx 11:30 or so and smooth sailing with traffic. That’s just a little feedback for people that hate traffic! Please reach out to FF if you’d like to adopt Emma! She’s so sweet. She talks to you by “growling” for more treats & love. Very special dog. She’s 11 and still full of energy. Knows her commands and is a total love bug, housebroken 100%.”

“They're very great and the saturday sales and auctions are awesome. However, I really do wish that they would stop putting stickers on their classics and vintage books. I've purchased several beautiful first edition books from here, over the last couple of years that have been damaged by trying to remove the adhesive from their price stickers. ?I wish they would do what the poway library does to their vintage books and write the price in pencil on the first page.”
