If i could give zero stars i would. Besides the fact that you will be in the waiting room for about an hour AFTER your appointment time receive the worst service just to see the doctor for 5 minutes. The workers there look like they just woke up and are very rude. Don't bother complaining to the managers either because they're more incompetent. Trash. Trash. Trash.

My wife was Charged for exam after assuring us there would be no charge. Customer service/billing after the fact totally unwilling to help. Do yourself a favor and beware of this place. They lost 2 customers forever for 59.00. Not to mention the negative review and the fact I'll tell anyone who asks to go elsewhere for eye care. Sad.

Horrible service. Was directed by their office to establish a patient portal to have access to vision prescriptions. After doing so, couldn't find it there so called the office. They have no access to the portal, don't understand how it works, and couldn't give me my prescription. They are sending it via snail mail as the office doesn't have regular outgoing email. Really? I have been a patient for about 20 years and am finally finished with Milauskas.

Phone system for 760-340-3937 sucks. Keeps saying "We have not received a valid response", even after pressing the right number. Had to do this several times with no luck. Please fix this. You are losing customers or are getting your customers VERY FRUSTRATED!!

I will not go to Milauskas again to order new glasses. This after 14 years of good service, but this last time had so many problems. I paid in full for both clear glasses and a pair of sunglasses before they were sent to the lab, which took almost 6 weeks to complete. During that wait period, came the first statement from their billing department, asking for an additional charge of $436.65 to be paid. After trying to call and speak with someone over the long waiting period and the additional fees they were asking for, there was never a person answering the phone, always just leave a message. I went to the Rancho Mirage office over this additional charge, the optician said "don't worry about it, you've paid in full." After picking up the new glasses, I received another statement from their billing department asking for additional $224. Back to the store again, this time letting the opticians know I was considering returning the glasses, getting so tired of running back and forth trying to get any answers on the waiting period and receiving additional charges statements. That was when they started to pay attention, and see why I was being billed additional fees. And of course, I never received any calls, I had to return to the store to see if there was any progress and finally received a print-out of a new statement. That statement shows they owe me $22.35. Let's see if that will ever happen.

This eye company is the worst that I have ever gone to. The doctor that I had no idea what she was doing. She game me the wrong RX and would not stand behind her services. Spoke to the manager and she wouldn't do anything. They are about money not their patients

Called Milauskas for an appointment to see their retinologist because of AMD in both eyes. They would NOT schedule an appointment until they received a referral. I contacted my PA Dr. and had them fax it over. Called Milauskis and tried to set up my appointment and was told they had not received the fax. I then asked to speak to the office manager who was not in. Left a VM and asked for a return call. She did not return it. I called again several hours later and was told she would not take my call. Why would someone want to make an appointment for an eye injection, which is the treatment for AMD, if they did not have to? Their whole attitude makes absolutely no sense. Beware!

I wish Yelp's rating system allowed for negative stars. Because Milauskas Eye Institute deserves a negative star rating. Milauskas Eye Institute of Rancho Mirage used to be one of - if not the highest rated eye care specialists in the Coachella Valley and the surrounding area. They used to be located in the Eisenhower Hospital complex over at Bob Hope and Country Club but they moved years ago to Dinah Shore and Monterey. In 2022, I wouldn't recommend this place to a corpse. Nobody absolutely NOBODY treats you like you matter. You are irrelevant and you are loathed. Have you ever felt that from someone? Ok, try a whole office of 20 or more people treating you like that. I was so uncomfortable during my visit. I really should've walked out of this toxic place before they called my name. Im not sure if it is because of their mask rules and part of their brain has died from breathing too much of their own carbon dioxide all day... or what? Maybe it's because they all just don't like older people? Most of their patients are older & elderly. What is wrong with them? I've never seen anything quite like it in any business before. They all need to work in jobs that don't require human contact. And I mean even the employees who do the 'back office' intake. I even had a girl get upset with me and then exhale loudly as she looked away from me toward the computer screen. Nothing nice about them! Ok so let's talk about the ophthalmologists. The ones that I have spoken to seem to be cut from the same cloth so to speak. Same distance and got that loathing feeling from them. The one that I saw recommended a surgery and tried to book me immediately for it. I said that I am not able to afford and then this person got upset when I said that I need to find the money to afford it. HEY! Not everyone has lots of money OK? Im a retired person who has limited income! I felt like I was at one of those high-pressure time share presentations! Do yourself a favor and call another place that treats you like a human and is glad to have your business!

Don't waste your time! Plenty of competent places to go. Never answered the phone, or called back. Sent RX to wrong pharmacy took 3 days to track it down. Had our home address in different city after we filled out paperwork. Extremely rude OBNOXIOUS girls at front desk, just loved their condescending tone. I will go back to my old place even though it's a hour drive. So much for trying someone closer. The contact prescription I received is wrong I can't see far away at all so I just use the right for close up reading..WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY

Never a call back to schedule surgery, was told the office would be in contact within three days, now one month and crickets. I made several attempts to contact these folks, received promises someone would return calls, to no avail. I'm from that age when a return call was only common courtesy

The worst staff ! They couldn't get orders right . I ordered brown in my transition lens and I got gray. So I have to wait for two weeks.I'm not happy with my trial contact lenses so made appointment and took another two weeks to get booked. I checked in on time and waited for an hour so I asked ladies at the desk and didn't even know why I'm there for . So took me in the room and the technician started putting solution in my eyes, checked pressure and started asking what medications I'm taking . So I asked why do I have to go through that again and she said this is for prepping . I told her I was just there for measure contact lenses . Another 30 minutes waiting inside lobby . Doctor showed up asking if I brought my contact lenses, I said no coz it's not correct . Scheduler didn't tell me I'm supposed to bring it, they didn't give any information . Worst doctors visit ever . I will never go back there again , Rancho Mirage office ever ! If only Dr Milauskas know they ruining his reputation .

I never received a call back after 3 phone calls to ask one of the Opticians a question about ordering new lenses for glasses that I purchased from them. They also botched up a lenses order for my wife's glasses. I will never use Milauskas ever again.

Hmm. Let's just say the customer service in the Optical Dept was substandard. No walk ins...ok I get it with covid but no one answers the phone when I tried to make an appointment. Two calls and 48 hrs later I get one. Again I understand covid restrictions but the waiting room is packed but I can't bring someone in with me to the empty optical dept to look at frames. I was then told I could try them on but they'd then have to clean them. Uncleaned frames strewn all over the table...guess I can't choose from those. No offer to help me pick anything out. Then, I had the temerity to touch a frame to see the price and was scolded that that pair now needed cleaning. Again I get covid precautions but the delivery of their rules was atrocious. No thanks, I might as well order on line which I purposely didn't want to do.

This month 2/21, I received a bill from Milauskas from May of 2019! Yes, that's right, 21 months later. So, I call the 3rd party billing service they use to dispute the charges. They were less than helpful or sympathetic that 21 months had passed and I was told I have to take my time and go back and check to see when and how it was paid either by credit card, check, or cash. Who keeps receipts from almost 2 years ago? Plus with online statements when they get to a certain age YOU have to pay for a copy of the statement. This is how "efficient" Milauskas is. I have had my eyes checked since but not by Milauskas. Good thing, as 2 years into the future I'd receive some bill that supposedly hadn't been paid and the whole thing starts again. Save yourself the time and frustration and go elsewhere.
