“We had our church Christmas party here. What a beautiful, large two story room! I immediately thought of a perfect place for a wedding reception or anniversary party. The brick walls have ornamental windows and French doors. There is a small balcony on the wall that runs around the perimeter of the room. The roof is an open beam ceiling with skylights. The curved grand staircase adds a romantic flair. Finally, the sunlight streaming through the stained glass windows gives the room a warm feeling.”
“We had a lovely time at South Coast Botanic Garden this past weekend. It’s been a go-to spot for us since Xander was a baby, and it never disappoints. Sunday was all about catching the last day of Thomas Dambo’s ‘Trolls - Save the Humans.’ The gardens are a delight on their own, but the troll exhibit brought an extra layer of fun. Xander was really into the map, hunting down birdhouses to find the 6 Trolls. Out of all of them, ‘Kamma Can The Trash Troll’ was particularly memorable.South Coast Botanic Garden always offers a great blend of nature and art, perfect for families or anyone looking to enjoy a day outdoors. It’s very convenient to book a visit online, and the prices are always reasonable. We always enjoy ourselves here, and this past weekend was no different.”
“I had a large group for my daughter's birthday party, and they were very accommodating. Great place and the game rooms are really cool. All the kids wanted to play again. “We'd visited this space several times over the years during El Segundo Art Walk and always thought what a great place to have a party, so when my husband wanted to celebrate his 60th birthday in style, this was the place! With the stage already set up for a DJ and/or band, and a great space for dancing, bar and room for dining at the back, who could ask for more? Our party was a great success in no small party thanks to Michael, who couldn't have been more helpful.”

“Monarch Ballroom is probably the most beautiful dance studio and event space in LA County with really amazing teachers! Their Beginner Ballroom Class on Mondays and Beginner Rhythm on Tuesdays are just great! You could learn different variety of moves at any dance you like (cha-cha, waltz, rumba, foxtrot). And the instructors Max and Eduard are super fun and knowledgeable!! Plus all the people at the studio are so nice and warm! You always feel like home away from home!”

The service was fast and the food was tasty and well cooked I came after walking out of Coastal up the street.The server at Radici was great and focused.”

“My son went to this program and had a great experience. The Team at Manhattan Country Club are excellent and I highly recommend. The kids have a lot of great activities due to the location at the country club including tennis, yoga, dance, etc. We particularly loved the events they put on for parents. These events are top notch with catering and cute dances, singing and performances by the kids.”

“First and foremost I want to give a big shout out to Swathi, Karina and Libby! All of them were such a pleasure to work with. We ended up booking this venue for our wedding on September 30, 2023. It was a week before our wedding due to some unexpected circumstances and Swathi and her team were exceptional! They worked with us throughout that week up until our wedding and everything was perfect! I could not have asked for a better place to have our wedding. They all went above and beyond to accommodate us super last minute. We are truly grateful for Swathi and her team for treating us so well, they made us feel so welcomed and treated us like family. They truly care about their clients. I will 100/10 recommend this place! If you are thinking about it just book it, you will not regret it!!”

“Went to see a performance of the musical. Kinky Boots. Beautiful theater , easy access, and plenty of parking. Comfortable seating, nice bathrooms, and Torrance brought a great audience.. Live orchestra, talented actors and and all-around great show. My only critique is that it should have 10 minutes shorter. Other than that, I absolutely loved it.”

“We selected this private banquet room for our South High Boys Water Polo Banquet and we could not have been any happier with that decision! The Event Coordinator, Dan, was so easy to work with and ensured that everything ran smoothly from setup until the final guests walked out the door. The room itself has been updated beautifully and we had plenty of space for our group of 90. There was a full kitchen for our caterer and a stage that worked well for our Awards Ceremony. Added bonuses were the game room that included billiards, a shuffleboard, a Ms PacMan and darts. Parents enjoyed the beautiful bar area as well. Overall, I'd highly recommend this spot for your next event! It's truly a hidden gem in the South Bay.”

The brie-truffle pizza was simply alright.But lets talk about that homemade giant cinnamon roll though …. I’d drive all the way there to satisfy that craving any day!The cappuccino was good too. First time in LA I found a decent capp, I usually order cappuccinos and end up with lattés !The location is perfect, overlooking the water. Would absolutely recommend.”

“I toured UNITA a few years ago with look for a space to celebrate my wedding anniversary. We moved about 40mi's away & didn't book with UNITA. But I still dreamed of the space. A few weeks ago, I was in town and looking for a coworking space for the day. They graciously allowed me to work from there for the day. Definitely recommend! Great aesthetics & vibe. Alison and her team are amazing in every way. We received so much more than we expected.Our family and friends are still talking about the fun they had, how beautiful the venue was. “The Boardroom is a new brewery that just opened a few blocks away from downtown. It's located in a former hangar where airplane wings were once built for the military which is kind of cool. They have both tables in the front and back and there's usually a food truck parked out back. In terms of the beer, everything I tried was solid. They just stick to the basics in terms of the styles, but they do them all well.”
“First off the staff was exceptional. Everyone was nice and helpful. Service was great. Food at the bar was amazing.My room was disappointing to say the least. The carpet was falling apart and so dirty I felt keeping my shoes on necessary. The tiles were cracked and broken in the bathroom. The curtain was extremely difficult to close and shredded. The TV in our room didn't work at all and was not a smart tv as in other rooms. The WiFi went in and out so much it was impossible to stream on any device- and no tv. I wish this room was what had been advertised so I could have opted stay elsewhere. They said they couldn't change our room. Overall disappointed. If you get a new room it's probably a lovely stay.”

“Greens were lightly sandy.01-31-2024. Weather was nice. Couldn't use my Senior card, 'cause our tee time was like 07:04 am. Back of Senior card states this. It does? From 07:00 am to 09:00 am ? The course was in decent shape. Rough was a little overgrown.”
