“Just inquired about some interesting wine at Meritage--they sought it out, and ordered some for me. They are a full service wine shop, staffed with very knowledgeable and friendly folks. This shop has close ties with many top winemakers in the U.S. and Europe, and often have wines that are hard to find anywhere else. Have been a customer for--um--decades. They even delivered wine during the Covid shutdown--true lifesavers! Have attended a number of their wine tasting events, and have learned much about my favorite bev from them.”
“You know... I fit a stereotype where I usually get watched and or not get good service in stores... But Holiday Wine Cellar's employees are always cordial, polite and very knowledgeable! I went there for stouts because I knew they'd have a selection unlike anywhere in North County! I was not wrong. I spent at least 30 minutes looking at the different options.Left with a white chocolate dipped pretzel stout!!! “Recently found this gem and can’t stop coming back! I’m amazed by the huge selection and variety of products. Truly a one stop shop! From the exotic snacks and energy drinks, to the HUGE selection of wine, this place is where it’s at. They also have (literally) everything needed in a pinch; deodorant, cutlery, birthday cards and stationary, tools. You name it, they have it. Also can’t miss the friendly faces up front and all the vapes, wraps, glass, and lotto behind the counter!”

“The store is under new ownership and the improvements are incredible! The shelves are now loaded with the absolute best quality (often highly allocated) wines from around the world. They also have a huge selection of half bottles, spirits, dessert wines, as well as some older vintages. I attended a cabernet tasting and all of the wines were thoughtfully selected and very good. Also, the wines I purchases were below the lowest price I could find anywhere on the internet. The new ownership definitely warrants another visit.”

“Very lovely store with a plethora of wine from around the world. There are several wines I was told that were non sulfuric organic. Wish I knew which ones those were. The store did have cookbooks and other small goods and snacks. Curious to know what does the sun do to the wine when it is sitting exposed to the sun? Does it turn and change the wine composition?”
“The selection is overwhelming! They have what you are looking for. If they don't, you can wait a few days, and they will get it. They do have samples of specials. The staff is helpful. Prices are pretty good, depending on what it is. Big bottles are where the prices start to shine here.”
“I love the fresh squeezed orange juice matins that you can operate yourself. It tastes so much better than typical bottled orange juice so I highly recommend trying it out! They have multiple sizes of bottles as well as pre bottled juice.”

“Ooh so so yummy good. The sandwich was delicious I went with the club and I also grabbed a bag of these Nicki Minaj chips which I do NOT recommend. But the sandwich was great and we walked over to benches that overlooked the Pier which was so nice and this dog there named Brûlée was wanting a bite of this sandwich sooooo bad !!!! Goes to show it was a good sandwich. The guys working were super nice and friendly. It's really close to some nice beaches that you can walk over to and see so many pups !! It was really nice !”

“Service! Very well organized and when I bought 4 Ritter Sport corn flake chocolate bars next time in the store 30 days later the proprietor tells me the moment I walk through he has lots of Ritter Sport CORNFLAKE chocolate bars on the shelf. That is a good memory.”

“This store has a huge selection of wine, spirits, beer, and snacks. It's is genuinely an amazing selection to choose from, stocked floor to ceiling. Every time, the staff has been friendly and helpful when I needed help locating something in the store.On the inside of the store, it's very organized, clean, and well lit. There is a large refrigerated section to pick up cold craft beer. They have beer by the bottle, can, large and small packs.lot of the selection is local to San Diego. They also carry unconventional alcohol like Sake, which is hard to find at other stores. Aside from the drinks, they have a lot of the last-minute things you would need for a party. There is also non alcoholic beverages, sodas, and a great selection of water to choose from.There is a large parking lot with wheelchair accessible parking located to the right of the front entrance. There is also a ramp up to the front. The lot can get busy depending on the time of day, but there is enough parking that you can always find something.This is a great spot to stop by if you have multiple errands to run. There are many lunch spots nearby, a gas station, and a Starbucks as well. It is very convenient for a one-stop shopping experience.”

“I remember this store being an Alpha Beta in the 70's, thus being, it's old and small, lacking the modern conveniences you find today in most supermarkets. There is no deli, bakery, fresh cut fruit. I shop here often and find most of the employees nice and friendly, and some that completely lack personality. The meat department is excellent, can't say the same for the seafood.”
