I’ve been dealing with foot discomfort during long shifts and about 2-3 months ago, I finally decided to get properly fitted instead of guessing what shoes I needed. The staff took the time to evaluate my gait and explained that I overpronate, which helped me understand why some shoes felt great while others didn’t. (Yes even those well-known and expensive cushioned shoes didn’t feel right.)

They had me try several options, including Brooks, New Balance, Saucony, Hoka, and ASICS, and never pressured me into a specific brand. Their goal was simply to find what worked best for my feet.

As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist who spends long hours on my feet, I can honestly say that wearing the right shoes has made a noticeable difference in my comfort during shifts. I even learned the hard way when I switched back to an older pair and immediately felt the difference!

So far I have the Hoka Arahi, Saucony Ombi St 23, and most recently, I was lucky enough to find a pair of ASICS Gel-Kayano in my size, and I’m excited to put them to work.

If you’re dealing with foot pain, knee pain, overpronation, or spend long hours standing, I highly recommend getting fitted by professionals instead of guessing. The experience was informative, helpful, and worth every minute.

“I have been to this specific store many times over the years, and one thing that has been consistent each time my family and I have went is that the workers are amazing every time. They outshine with their customer service-- always having such a great attitude, and ready to help. They are also always so kind and patient at the counter with my grandmother, who is not very tech-savvy, and I appreciate that. I'd like to give a specific shoutout to a worker named Jordan. I came in the store confused about what shoe I was specifically looking for, and voila she helped me find it, after very patiently waiting for my to pull up a picture online... There was another woman who helped me at the counter with my discount, and there were two male workers who sprung to help too. I really wish I knew all three of their names but they don't give names on the receipts, and I only overheard Jordans when I was conversing with one of the other workers. Changing the subject, there ARE limited color options for popular shoes at this store, but I think that the deals you get for the shoes that ARE there outshine this issue. It's very possible you may walk in with an idea of what you want and find something completely different that you love even more. I've never walked out of this store disappointed ever. Just happier than I came.”

“Big 5s are becoming to far few in between in my opinion. Truly this is the only place I can go now to get the right equipment for all of my sporting needs. I tend to go in for my knives, camping supplies and the occasional softball for my dogs. (My dogs love em by the way).”

“I went in for new bindings and they asked if I needed help and I was like “yah do you know which ones are all mountain?” (I was standing there googling a few and taking forever because they don’t have any specs listed) and the response was “it doesn’t matter they’re all fine for beginners.” I’ve been riding 19 years which they obviously wouldn’t know, but a simple “no” would’ve been fine lol. Kinda annoying response because with that logic a beginner is gonna waste hundreds on something they don’t need and two, there IS a difference between bindings. In the end they didn’t have my size in the ones I wanted. Still 5/5 cuz I like this place.”
