“It was a lovely place, the food was a bit cold but it still tasted nice. Our waitress that night was such a great help! She was very friendly and constantly kept checking up on us. I went to celebrate my friends birthday and they brought out a cute little dessert for her with a candle! The drinks were also great. My only complaint will be I wish there were more light. The fire pit lit up the space more but it was also windy and the fire kept almost catching my hand. Overall great”

“Really enjoyed my stay here! It was clean, bright and within walking distance to the pier and other dining options. There also was a bar with food and starbucks coffee which was convenient in the mornings. There also is a bike rental right across the street which you can take up the strand which is about a 5 minute bike ride away. Loooved the pool and hot tub as well, nice and usually not busy! Would definitely recommend.”

“Nice little place tucked away in Redondo Beach. Needed a place to stay for a night while visiting a friend and this was affordable and had all the amenities we needed, including an iron. I had actually booked the wrong night, and not only were they accommodating in getting me a room for the night, they also didn’t charge me for the no-show. Parking was no issue, still had spots even when we returned at 10 pm on a Thursday night. Great stay!”

“OK this review is directed directly to Aloha Smog and not best Western it a tight spot but they’re two different buildings and I just want to make the correction at this location as well as the credit and review goes to Aloha Smog which I have been going there for a long time and they are professional. They are kind and courteous. The prices are fair. It seems like by the time you get out of your car to get tested you’re right back in and on your way out. It’s very very quick because they know exactly what they’re looking for anyway, I would like to say thank you to the whole team at Aloha Smog.”

“No frills room that’s clean.

Pretty quiet for being on a main road. Expedia makes it look like no sheets on bed - they have clean sheets on the bed.

Nice guys trying to run a hotel and keep it clean. Gotta like that.

There are a couple of food choices within 5 minutes walk. Thai, subway, (really good) Mexican and Dominoes.”

“There were some issues while checking in (electricity issues, bed size, etc) it's not enough for me to lower stars. The service was great. Anthony, the manager, tried to work something out from the 4x of coming back to the desk.
The rooms were ok, THEY HAVE NO DOUBLE QUEEN BEDS. Online says they do, but they don't.
They serve a good amount of food for breakfast.
It's not a far distance from the beach.”

“Stayed here 7/22-23
Pretty nice hotel. Rooms, hallways, elevator, and facilities are all clean. Elevator was fast altho when you exit to get to your room on the upper floors the area is a little cramp and made using the suitcase trolley a bit hard to use
Reception area has free water and a place to chill in the back
Wish I got the name of the guy who checked us in. Super friendly and personable. My friends and I talked about Buffy with him
Typical size for the room we got. Great view of the Pacific Ocean and near the Sea Lions (They bark all day and night so if that isn't for you book a room near the parking lot or someone else)
Hotel is close to the beach and Fisherman's Wharf. Approximately a 5 min walk to these places
Beds were very comfortable and shower was nice. Room only includes a refridgerator but for a 4 star hotel it should also have a microwave. Not sure why this has been the trend with hotels for the past 10 years but oh well!
Wish we got to keep the Sea Lion plush that was on our bed. You have to purchase it if you want him.
5/5 would love to stay here again!”

“A typical hotel room. It was clean. We had a limited view of the ocean and a good view of the car show in the lot across the street. We had no interaction with staff except when checking in. Sol restaurant was very quiet. The servers were very nice.”

“Super chill vibes at this little planted hotel. Plenty of parking and easy to access. There is absolutely no cell service with Verizon though. This whole area seams to be a blackout zone. Plan accordingly.”

“Great location, lots of amenities, large rooms, huge breakfast spread, somewhat pricey.

Food and drinks: Huge breakfast spread. Lots of BBQ grills.”

“This was an amazing experience. Room clean. Lobby clean. Location puts you in a spot where it is convenient to find something to fulfill what you are looking to do. Great environment!”

“Rooms have a sliding door for the bathroom that is hard to open close and lock. Some rooms have a lot of road noise. Service was excellent.we forgot toothpaste and they gave some to us! The location is good being so close to SOFI and LAX made getting around easy. It's also near a McDonald's, in and out, Walmart, and five below. Parking is also cheap and free breakfast is always a plus. Parking can be hard if you get back late as a lot of large semi trucks take up 30 spaces of parking.

Noteworthy details: Rooms of the 405 side of the building will have a lot of road noise even with the windows closed. The road noise seems to be coming through the room's air conditioning unit. The noise was not a huge issue for me as I grew up in the city but will definitely keep some guests awake at night.”
