“This place is soo cute! Employees are very friendly. I took my puppy there for some treats and to see take pictures with the Easter bunny. He loved all the treats that he got in his egg hunt! Also got his 1st birthday cake here! Try it out.”
“My girl, Hazel, is a bully mix that I rescued as a 8-10week old puppy. She had already changed hands 3 times at such a young age. Even at 1.5yrs she was still struggling with confident issues, so I started bringing her into the zoom room agility classes. The classes have really helped to build up her confidence because she has so much fun getting 1:1 time with me, as well as running over, through, and around all of the different stations. I really love seeing her pittie smile. In the level 1&2 class you usually get 2-3 runs, it really depends on class size if you get more. She recently graduated to level 3.”
“In town from new jersey and needed a quick groom for my pups birthday. They responded super quick and got me right in. Great groomers, and super friendly. Very transparent about pricing and add ons. Got done at a reasonable time and groomed him exactly how i asked them to. 10/10 will be back.”
“This place has been a lifesaver for the last two years since I adopted my dog. I can always trust that everything has good ingredients (unlike the larger chains like Petsmart and Petco), and the employees are really knowledgable. I always enjoy my conversations with the employees while I'm checking out. I can tell they all really love and care about pets and animals in general. A specific moment that really stood out to me was when I had to buy my dog an e-collar (comfy cone) and was unsure of the size. An employee walked me to the cones and helped me estimate what size I would need even though I didn't have my dog with me. I wish I could support the store more, but once they got rid of the frequent buyer program on my dog's kibble I had to start ordering online since the price no longer made sense. I still come here for treats and toys, but I wish they could bring back that program because I loved coming there every week to buy kibble.”

“Let me start by saying that I love supporting my local shops and small businesses. However, many times the prices in local stores are higher compared to some of the big online sites. This is NOT the case with Big Al's. Not only are their in-store prices competitive to or LESS than online retailers, but the level of customer service from Brandon and his crew is top notch. It is so refreshing to be unable to ask questions to someone working in a pet store and get unbiased and informed answers. This is such an underrated experience nowadays! One Sunday evening I realized that my puppy had run out of his new food and panicked because I knew I wouldn't be able to make it to Big Al's before they closed in 10 minutes. I took a chance and called the store to confirm the closing time, and Brandon answered. He so graciously agreed to stay open past their closing time to allow me to come in and buy my pups food! Another time, I mentioned a food I'd recently switched my pup to that we were using and really loved. Brandon was familiar with the product and agreed that it was a great one, but he didn't carry this brand of dog kibble in store. Within a month, they ordered the product - Farmina, and now carry it in their store! I'm so blown away by the customer service that I've received, the quality of products offered, and the outstanding prices. I will be a forever customer of BIG Al's!”

“Called multiple groomers and no one had availability for a Saturday. I called pride 'n joy and they got me in same day right after my call. It was my baby's first time getting groomed so i was very nervous but as soon as I got there the staff seemed so happy and nice. There's good parking in the back and I picked my pup up in less then 2 years. Very efficient”
“Terrific pet store with a variety of options for a lot of pets. I specifically go for my dog. The staff are super friendly and helpful. My dog went through radiation and it she was super picky with her food. One of the staff was able to suggest a few couple of options and it worked!!! Also, a very good variety of treats and toys. On occasions, they offered discounted teeth cleaning and pet adoptions.”

“Our dog is 12 or 13 years old and needs a special metabolic diet. He's diabetic and blind and reacts very well to this food. He's never liked dog food, and only ever ate people food, but, he loves this stuff. The staff at your Sherman Oaks location treat us very well.”

“Stopped by for my dogs birthday this past weekend. Used the self service bath which is great and only $18 and they clean up the mess. Go early to avoid waits but each station has a 30 minute timer. After his bath we shopped around and the staff gave us recommendations on treats and chew toys. Everyone was very friendly.”
“Great place for pet supplies. Friendly and helpful staff. They carry a wide selection of products for all types of animals. We get all our chicken supplies here: feed (standard and organic), feeders, waterers, scratch, supplements, bedding, and treats. They even sell coops. And sometimes they carry chicks and live mealworms.”
“Great place think of costco for pets, have everything. Stuff for dogs, cats, birds, fish reptiles, live stock. They also carry fish, reptiles, tarantulas, small pets, quails. They also sell live feeders gold fish, mice, rats. This place was great. Not much parking recommend parking in ally but definitely make sure you lock your car. All the staff is super friendly and helpful. They carry some really random things also, saw a habitat for fire shrimp with them include and a whole story about them. They have a self wash dog station. This is a great place to visit no matter what pet you have.”

“A neighbor recommended Mark and I'm really just so thankful for him and what he does for the pet community :) Our pocket bully Maui was struggling with some skin issues and no matter how many vets we took him to, nothing fully healed his skin. Mark suggested some things to help and voila! Maui's coat is beautiful and no longer struggling. The staff are all super helpful as well.
