“I had a great experience during my 16 week parenting course, and although I attended class via zoom I was still able to learn a lot thanks to Jason and Angelica, they taught in a way that was very informative and relevant. I also want to thank Christina for her support especially when I felt like I had none, and making me feel comfortable when it came to resources. Thank you Walden Family Services.”

“My husband and I have served at the City Mission for a number of years. Staff and volunteers really care about the people they serve. Also, this is a great place to donate your gently used items; the money raised from their store goes right back into feeding and clothing those in need.”

“Worth donating to here. Really helpful. I imagine the poor staff here must be tired of many people calling multiple times a day to ask the same exact things. Nevertheless, they are direct and straightforward about everything.”

“Jessica has made my time at the DUI Class as good as it gets. I am a re-tread and the first time I had Class personally I felt it was a waste of time. I really got something out of this one and I give all the credit to Jessica, she did a great job.”

“I entered this program on 4/18/25, and I spent 31 days here, successfully completing the program. This place was my saving grace, and gave me a second chance in life. I lost my kids due to drugs, and because of GHW, I was able to get on the right track back to having them home with me again. Gibson House for Women gave me my life back! My counselor, Danielle, was and will always be my angel. She had my back from day 1, and was always on top of things. All of the counselors are amazing - they all really do care and most have been down the same roads so they know what you're going through. I was housed with 30 other woman here, and every single one of them became my sober sisters - the most incredible group of women I've ever met iny life. We all had each other to lean on during those times of hardship, and comfort was always there. This place truly is magical, and I can't thank GHW, and the women I went through treatment with enough for everything they've done for me. It was a miracle I ended up here, and the program wasn't exactly easy, but I needed their strict structure at the time, and am so grateful for it. My advice to anyone reading this is STICK WITH IT! IT'S SO WORTH THE REWARDS IN THE END. Don't let anyone take you out of character and destroy the peace you so much deserve.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you Gibson House for Women - You saved me, and my family ❤️

- Amanda Williams”

“I honestly don’t know how to thank Jennifer Velasquez enough. She helped my husband through every step of his immigration process, from his work permit all the way to his green card. This is a stressful and scary process for any family, but Jennifer made us feel supported the entire way. She didn’t just do her job. She cared. She made sure every form was correct, always pushed to make things move faster, and was constantly checking in. Whenever we were confused or worried, she answered right away and took her time to explain everything so we could feel calm again. There were many moments where I felt overwhelmed, wondering if everything would be okay. Jennifer never let us feel alone. She treated us with respect, kindness, and so much patience. It’s rare to find someone who truly goes above and beyond these days, and she definitely did.
Thank you Jennifer, for being part of this huge moment in our lives. We will always be grateful for you and all the hard work you put into helping our family. We appreciate you more than words can ever say.”

“I haven’t been Their but I would like to be a part of the group. My father was in the army he had a military funeral up in Boise Idaho at the VA hospital, my brother Tim was a medic in the army and he served in the big hospital over in Germany, and my brother Paul was a Marine and served in Vietnam. I would like to be an active part of the group that volunteers and goes to the VA in Loma Linda and visit the CLC the community living center where veterans live there because I have no place to go. I was a volunteer there until Covid came down they wouldn’t let them volunteers in. I still have connections with the leader ship there but I can’t go in. I’m responding today because I got something in the mail from them a survey and I said hey do you still remember me.”

“I recently visited Wildhaven Ranch in Glen, CA and was blown away by my experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a true appreciation for nature and wildlife. The guided tours were informative and enjoyable, offering a unique perspective on the diverse array of animals residing at the ranch. I was especially impressed with the knowledgeable and passionate staff who were eager to share their love and knowledge of the animals with visitors. The ranch itself is beautifully maintained, with pristine facilities and well-kept animal habitats. The animals are well cared for and seem happy in their environment, making it a joy to observe them up close. The highlight of my visit was getting to interact with the animals, from feeding the friendly goats to holding the gentle owls.I highly recommend Wildhaven Ranch to anyone looking for an educational and unforgettable outdoor experience.
