“Booked rooms at the Hampton Inn while my family was in town. It was the perfect choice, not only were the rooms clean, the lobby was also always spotless. The breakfast buffet and afternoon snacks were also great. But the best part about the hotel is its amazing staff - from the front desk (Athena, Leilani, Majorie, Alejandra, Kristin) to the cleaning crew (Patricia and Lisa), they made my family's stay comfortable and welcoming. It truly felt like a second home.”

“The rooms shower could use a bit of TLC. I was worried about the Crack in the shower walls tile and if there was any water damage. I didn't want to fall through rotten flooring. The shower had hair in it ,not mine. I had a coffee machine but no way to make it,no coffee pot and no coffe.”

“Easy access off of California Ave. We stayed on back side of building, some road noise, not enough to worry about. Free breakfast has something for everyone, great way to start the day. Had two minor items we asked them to address, and they were resolved while we were out. Friendly staff, upbeat, helpful. Nice firm matress. Pool, exercise room, meeting room, business center.”

“The managers were very very nice as long as you don't bug them after 10:00 at night the walls are very thin especially if you're downstairs sometimes it feels like the ceiling is going to caving on you from the occupants walking around but the worst part of all are the roaches this place is infested with roaches that is so disturbing and every single room has them some more than others like room 116 stay far away from this room otherwise it's clean and the ice machine hasn't worked for a very long timeWalkability: Everything you need is right across the street in every direction.”

“I would give a 5 and beyond to this motel owner. He is incredibly accommodating to guests needs. The rooms are clean: I love the selections on the television! But due to people who steal, I did not get a blow dryer which is my number 1 thing I need after a shower!”

“This is a cute place that is what it says it is. Very convenient to the convention center, though a bit loud at night as a result to being down town. The folks were super helpful and accommodating, and helped me find something I had forgotten after I checked out. I would stay here again. Only comment would be that I was a little chilly and ended up doubling up the blankets from the other bed in the room.”

“I could detail the most important aspects that guests look for in a motel. But I'll simplify my experience while staying at the Skylark Motel. Although it's very close to other places that offer the same services, I can confidently say that the Skylark Motel is undoubtedly the most convenient due to its accessibility, overall services, location, price, and quality of service. It met my realistic expectations, and I'm very satisfied. I would definitely stay at the Skylark Motel again.”

“Our first time to this hotel. The Thunderbird name appealed to us. A name from times past. Found out the hotel has been here over 40 years! That's some history. Anyway, first impression was we liked it. The hotel has a courtyard appearance kind of like a hacienda. It is clean and safe. See comments below for rooms, etc. We chose this hotel cause of closeness to the Fox Performaning Arts Center, 1 mile away. We are attending a concert there. If we ever come back this way again, we would stay here again!”

“Motel was excellently located near two malls (adjacent and across the street), with various places to eat, in addition to a quaint cafe across the street. Saved on using the car, which with today’s gas prices, big plus. Room I got was a little small, but clean, mattress was a little beat down. Motel was very accommodating when had to unexpectedly extend my stay an additional day. Was surprised they have security in the evening for parking. But overall was pleased with the stay and the reasonable price.”

“This is very much a no frills, no nonsense motel but it exceeded my expectations. The room was very clean, which is what I cared about most. I asked for a non-smoking room, and the room I was assigned to didn't smell of smoke at all. The AC worked very well, as did the fridge (which had both a fridge and freezer section) and the tv. I never once heard the people in the rooms next to mine, so either they were respectfully quiet or the walls muffled the sounds. I spent a bit of time down by the pool, which is gated off and clean. The surrounding area didn't seem to be the best for nighttime adventures so I did my errands during the day, but that's not something the motel can control. Other than that my only real complaint is that the bed wasn't the most comfortable, it was a bit hard. But honestly, I got used to it pretty quickly and was able to sleep well. Genuinely surprised by this place and would absolutely stay here again. If you're looking for something inexpensive but clean and comfortable, I definitely recommend this place.”
