“Ms. Sharon is gonna mess around and make me leave my credit union in favor of Schools! I had a loan with Schools years ago and began receiving statements that showed I had hundreds of dollars in the account. Knowing that was incorrect, I stopped by to ask the staff to look up my account and go over it with me. I was greeted by Ms. Sharon (whom I would later learn is a manager), and another young lady. Ms. Sharon looked up my account and verified the funds were accurate, and that I put them there! She told me how to withdraw some of the monies (I didn't have an ATM or anything), made me an ATM card and then I asked about having the account closed, since I bank elsewhere. Ms. Sharon shared about the recent merger and how membership qualifications have changed, so I decided to keep the account open. I headed to the teller and was helped by Stephanie, who was very nice and provided additional information on how to manage my account. Lovely experience at Schools, I may be switching (primary) credit unions!”

There’s a teller at the branch closest to my house that I really don’t like, so I started going to this one instead and that guy with the nails is such a breath of fresh air! It was our first time working with Schools, and I was so impressed by the customer service. Last night we worked with Stephen, who was friendly, efficient, and so very kind to stay late to accommodate my husband who was stuck in traffic. He provided clear communication about all the paperwork and made the whole process seem quite easy. Stephen exemplified the type of customer care that is so rare these days. “Kit was SUPER helpful with rectifying my loan balance. I had a feeling that with many of my payments, the extra funds were not being applied to the principal. I always pay in person and write on the note how much is to be applied to the principal. I also state to the teller the excess to be applied to principal. She did find that 9 payments were incorrectly inputted! Kit went above and beyond to fix the errors.”

The Branch Manager, Veronica Anguiano, and the teller listened to my concerns about a previous computer hack. They reviewed my loans and accounts and made recommendations that saved me about $350 per month. The teller also gave my dog treats and made me feel they care. “Fast and friendly! Zero complaints for this credit union. I signed up about a year ago, and I go in every two weeks or so. They are closed on weekends, which is a bit of a bummer, but that's pretty normal for a bank. Tellers need weekends, too! There are three regular tellers at the desk and I've conversed with them all. Each is proficient and courteous.”

“I can only speak for my own experiences, but I don't understand the negative reviews posted here for this branch. I've had nothing short of great customer experience here. Prior to moving to Safe, I was a Wells Fargo customer for over 6 years (when I had gotten my first job), and they were nothing but a pain to deal with it. I jumped on the credit Union bandwagon because WF was charging me up the you-know-what with fees, not releasing my funds, and their online banking was not always 100% accurate. Safe Credit Union has provided me exactly what I was looking for in a bank, and I feel like they are more welcoming and overall accommodating to their members.”

I personally will miss it, it was down the street from me so it was really convenient.I always had a good experience and the tellers who helped me were always friendly and gave good customer service. Yes there were days where the lines were long but ppl always had the option to use the atm unless you were there for something else.Either way, if ppl complained about the customer service or the lines its most likely their LACK of patience & respect to the employees and in some situations that ive witnessed with older customers "entitlement" to special treatment with the goal of getting out faster.I wish the best to the employees who worked there, theyve always done a fantastic job on each of my visits.”

“This review is for my experiences with Sacramento credit union in general, not just this location. I have been a long-time member originally with Kai Perm credit union for kaiser employees. However, when Sacramento credit union took over, I kept my account with them . I don't really have any complaints and have a checking & savings account with them . I had a $1000 CD, which i kept open for years. I have had two auto loans with them , I co-signed for my sons personal loan, and I obtained a second on my home. The location here is easy to access when serving on a jury , I used to frequent the Morse location when I worked in the area but now I use the Elk Grove branch as it is close to my home. I appreciate the hours they are open as well as the call center, which you are easily able to speak to a live person without jumping through hoops. Unlike the big banks who you can rarely speak to a live person both in branch or over the phone.”

“This is the bank i started my accounts with Golden 1! This is were i always go to deal with something i can't do over the phone, like the time i was scammed over the phone. I came into this bank n they took their time to make sure I got every penny back into my accounts. This is the bank who blocked my accounts asa they saw another fraudulent withdrawal from one of my accounts. I had to go back into the bank to get another new card, the clerk who assisted me was great. She was incredibly patient with me, very kind, n had no problems with me depositing my check with her as well. I read the negative reviews n their issues have never been my issues, so with that being said I will always come to this bank. The security guard is a sweetheart nmw time of the day, he always has a smile, n does what he can to assist your needs. One thing that needs to be addressed is customer service when calling this bank. I was told i'm never to give the last 4 digits of my ssn because Golden 1 customer service doesn't ask for it n that's not true! I get ask that eveytime i call this branch. I even asked the clerk the last time i was in, she said she always asked. The other clerks said they do to. That needs to be figured out amongst the staff, because customer service is asking something i was told y'all don't ask for n to never give it out. I no longer give it out anymore after getting scammed. Customer service is accepting of this but still say they r to ask. That's my only issue. I'm not going to freely give that out over the phone anymore. That's the whole reason for the security question. My daughter banks with the other Golden 1 on Florin n it's just as busy during certain times. All banks have peak periods so go early on a weekday r right after lunch hrs, in other words try to beat the crowd, cause just like any other bank this bank has times in the weekdays that it's not that busy. Be mindful n you'll figure it out.”

“I walked in with an issue that thankfully got helped by Marissa Smith. I did a walk in with no appointment so I was waiting for help not long and it was fast and simple. She was very kind, helpful, and friendly. I was trying to apply for a credit card and she did an amazing job with answering all the questions I had or any concerns. She even helped me set up a money marketing savings account that can help me build money slowly which was kind of her. I will definitely be coming back if I need any help or questions thank you also for the amazing customer service!”
