“So you know I don't give a lot of four or five-star reviews. So I know you're asking, why the four-star review? I'm glad you asked. This branch is one of the few banks at all that has a coin machine. If you don't know, a coin machine counts all of the change that you've collected, takes a percentage of that money, and gives you either cash or a credit to take to deposit in the bank. Most times, you have to bring your coins to a supermarket or some other less secure venue. But the coin machine being inside a bank means that the bank level of security when you enter the doors goes for you as you bring your change to be counted. That one feature loan earned this bank an additional star. I hope this helps. Make sure that you follow me for more reviews.”

“This is my favorite safe location. It’s new and nice and I don’t know his name, but the guy with the nails ?? (if he’s been your teller, you know) is amazing. There’s a teller at the branch closest to my house that I really don’t like, so I started going to this one instead and that guy with the nails is such a breath of fresh air! “Kit was SUPER helpful with rectifying my loan balance. I had a feeling that with many of my payments, the extra funds were not being applied to the principal. I always pay in person and write on the note how much is to be applied to the principal. I also state to the teller the excess to be applied to principal. She did find that 9 payments were incorrectly inputted! Kit went above and beyond to fix the errors.”

“Ms. Sharon is gonna mess around and make me leave my credit union in favor of Schools! I had a loan with Schools years ago and began receiving statements that showed I had hundreds of dollars in the account. Knowing that was incorrect, I stopped by to ask the staff to look up my account and go over it with me. I was greeted by Ms. Sharon (whom I would later learn is a manager), and another young lady. Ms. Sharon looked up my account and verified the funds were accurate, and that I put them there! She told me how to withdraw some of the monies (I didn't have an ATM or anything), made me an ATM card and then I asked about having the account closed, since I bank elsewhere. Ms. Sharon shared about the recent merger and how membership qualifications have changed, so I decided to keep the account open. I headed to the teller and was helped by Stephanie, who was very nice and provided additional information on how to manage my account. Lovely experience at Schools, I may be switching (primary) credit unions!”

“Fast and friendly! Zero complaints for this credit union. I signed up about a year ago, and I go in every two weeks or so. They are closed on weekends, which is a bit of a bummer, but that's pretty normal for a bank. Tellers need weekends, too! There are three regular tellers at the desk and I've conversed with them all. Each is proficient and courteous.”

“I can only speak for my own experiences, but I don't understand the negative reviews posted here for this branch. I've had nothing short of great customer experience here. Prior to moving to Safe, I was a Wells Fargo customer for over 6 years (when I had gotten my first job), and they were nothing but a pain to deal with it. I jumped on the credit Union bandwagon because WF was charging me up the you-know-what with fees, not releasing my funds, and their online banking was not always 100% accurate. Safe Credit Union has provided me exactly what I was looking for in a bank, and I feel like they are more welcoming and overall accommodating to their members.”

“This review is for my experiences with Sacramento credit union in general, not just this location. I have been a long-time member originally with Kai Perm credit union for kaiser employees. However, when Sacramento credit union took over, I kept my account with them . I don't really have any complaints and have a checking & savings account with them . I had a $1000 CD, which i kept open for years. I have had two auto loans with them , I co-signed for my sons personal loan, and I obtained a second on my home. The location here is easy to access when serving on a jury , I used to frequent the Morse location when I worked in the area but now I use the Elk Grove branch as it is close to my home. I appreciate the hours they are open as well as the call center, which you are easily able to speak to a live person without jumping through hoops. Unlike the big banks who you can rarely speak to a live person both in branch or over the phone.”

“I became a client of Golden-1Credit Union when they financed my purchase of a 2018 RV in April, 2023. This note is not a nasty complaint but just a comment on how we rely on modern technology to our detriment. Here is what happened. I received an invoice from Golden-1 with a Loan Number in the appropriate box. I needed to contact Golden-1 about a sales sheet from the vendor of my RV. Unfortunately I had lost the original document an needed one to prove my side of an IRS "problema." I contacted G-1, they asked for the Loan number which I gave the one on the subject invoice. The receptionist stated that there was no such # in their records. I repeated the number 3 times, each time the answer was the same. No record of a loan with that #. It was sort of like a continuance of an extreme day that had lasted too long and this was he ultimate problem to face alone. I called back to G-1 and talked to a fellow who appreciated my feeling of being in Alices Wonderland. He was the first person to really help me. Eventually he was able to obtain a proper Loan # after at least 20 minutes of searching.If there wasn't an employee who had the patience to help a very frustrated client. I would have broken at least 1 or 2 cheap bottles of wine on my fevered an wrinkled brow. G-1is to be commended on hiring a decent person; was it the result of a secret policy? If so other businesses should emulate it ASAP. AMEN”
