“We did not visit Evangeline's during this particular trip because they are repairing damages from a recent fire. We cannot wait till they are back up and running and we wish them the best. They have been an iconic business in Old Sacramento for as long as I can remember. We visited Evangeline's every time we came to Old Sacramento! It has never failed to surprise and delight!”
“Hammerhead is an awesome space and I've had a great time whenever I go. I play sorcery there but if your a magic guy there are a ton of people there. Great selection of singles and good stock of sealed. Can't say anything negative abt this store. kudos!”
“This toy store is awesome! So many unique toys that you can try out before purchasing. They even have a table filled with toys for the little ones to play with while you shop around. Prices are reasonable especially considering that you get to try the toy (in the store) before buying it!”

“Chill vibe, good selection for a store that size, and knowledgeable no pressure staff. Took in my two kids (4 and 2), and they loved rummaging around through the various bins and checking out all the minifigs and models.

“The staff are so kind and patient. The store is organized really well. I love the board games as well as the selection near the cashiers with lots of great gift items. I also liked seeing an author there selling kids' books and offering to sign!”

“I used to live around the corner from this place, and had been going regularly since 2013. I love that essentially half the store is dedicated to anime. My favorite place to buy figures. And they usually have a selection of vintage. Plus the owner is a totally awesome guy! Very friendly atmosphere.”

“Cody was helpful and got me set up with Kill Team. He said Saturdays were good for Age of Sigmar. I also saw some Blood Bowl activity.The store was closed when I stopped in previously, but it was because he was sick, which is very reasonable.Update: This store, and the people that hang there to play, are fantastic. I have never felt so welcome and they have made getting into the hobby, as a first timer, an absolute joy.Often times, regulars show up to chat, paint, play, or just enthusiastically help out new people, which makes Cody's job a little easier, and speaks to the level of passion and support you will find if you decide to play with us!Also, Cody took over in 2022, so if you went previously and had a poor experience, come give it another go.Hope to see you there :)”

“the shop is small enough that you could pass by without a second glance but stepping inside you find narrow aisles lined with cases and boxes stacked high so that every turn feels like a discovery and though the space is tight it carries a warmth that makes you want to linger much like in the lord of the rings when bilbo discovered the quiet comforts of the shire before gandalf arrived with fireworks to celebrate his birthday and the fields filled with lanterns and laughter and food and drink while the hobbits gathered to share in the joy of the night until the moment when bilbo made his choice to slip away from it all leaving behind the songs and the bright lights and setting in motion a story that would carry far beyond the borders of his home.”
“Hello, I just want to say I had a wonderful great experience today at below five On Florin and the people are always happy in there and I think it was a security guard that worked there below guy. He was really nice to him and that you're older lady. We were talking about gas prices and stuff. They were really cool. I enjoy the and they greet and say hello to everybody and the store was very clean And it was just really fun. I wanted to buy more stuff. I didn't wanna leave because we were just talking about life itself, you guys are amazing. “I come here almost everytime that I've come to Old Town Sacramento.
Personally I get a kick out of seeing the Lego sets. They also have old-style arcade games in there, and different candies which are a good little treat if you visit this neighborhood.”
“This is hands down my favorite comic book shop in Sacramento! They always are super friendly and knowledgeable and kind to me and my son! We started to go to buy Sonic the hedge hog comics, but I also buy dnd accessories and Pokémon cards there! There is a great variety of things toys games comics books figurines cards, and just so much dope stuff! Marcos helped us many times, but he really went above and beyond my last visit! My son is super into Pokémon and he took the time to teach us to play and build a deck sleeves and all. He was so kind and patient with us! Lovely people! It's always a good time visiting this gem of a shop! A local must! SHOUTOUT TO THE AMAZING STAFF ?”
