“This store is clean, colorful, organized, and well-stocked, with lots to look at. They have a variety of almost everything you can think of such as comics, graphic novels, magazines, collectibles, toys, and memorabilia. The service was decent, the staff is friendly enough and willing to help customers with their needs and questions. The prices seem standard for the most part, although some of the items didn't have prices listed on them. My only suggestion would be to offer some sales and clearance items, as I'm a bargain shopper and always looking for great deals.”

“It was my first time coming there, and it was an amazing experience. The store have figurines from the latest anime to some of the obscure or classic ones. Most of the figures are at a better price then you usually see online. The person who help me was Thomas. He was super nice, patient and knowledgeable about anime and figurines. And talking to him made coming to the store a blast. If google give more stars I would give this place 6 out 5.”

“My old review pretty much sums up my feelings about Evangeline's. One of the best shops in Old Sac. and in town! It's nice that the costume section is now open all year long instead of just during the Halloween season like they did in the distant past. It has been a few years since I have been back since my fiancée Joe K. had passed away. We both loved to dress up for Halloween, Sci fi/fantasy conventions and Yelp themed events. We had a lot of commonalities together. At first, I was a bit melancholy about entering the store, but this time, I came here with my sister to look for an outfit that she could wear for her grandchild's "Frozen" themed birthday party. We found a suitable dress that she seemed to like, but she didn't want to try it on first, thinking it was the correct size to fit her. However, it was a disappointment when she finally tried it on at home. First, it looked too big on her. The attached sashes were placed in an unflattering location on the dress, and all the glitter that was glued on, made a huge mess everywhere! Also, the long blonde wig that we had chosen in it's package, turned out to have grey streaks in it! Bad choices on both of our parts! Even though our shopping trip here didn't fulfill what her hopes were, I still have to give this business five stars, because our selections were not their fault. Evangeline's is still one of my favorite places to visit and to reminisce about the happy times Joe K and I shared together. Maybe, someday in the future, I'll have reasons to return and continue with new memories and a renewed enthusiasm...”

“I'm a big fan of collectibles. Of course, funko pops were a big thing to me. I haven't been at the store, but it looked "amazing and creative", my friend explained. I'm looking forward to. Seeing it myself.”

“Mother Goose is currently closed due to a fire in their building (smoke damage) with no estimate on when they will reopen. This is such a bummer as this is our favorite spot for unique children's toys. The owner is so sweet and friendly. I hope the entire complex is up on their feet soon”

“Don't know why Google thinks I visited this place as I've never heard of known about or where this place is. But hey must be a cool place for those that like comics.”

“I was searching for a toy store for my son.Google listed this as a toy store. It is not a toy store as they deal with real cars. I have no experience with them, so I have no reason to leave them a good or bad review. I am hoping my review will help others not to waste their time thinking it is a real toy store for kids.”

“This store is my favorite local shop to get Games Workshop models from. The store is always clean and Cody is always super helpful and willing to talk about the hobby. The store has three tables to play on, so being some friends. They also have demo games that can be played. What more could a hobbyist ask for?”

“We don't have a lot of kite stores in Sacramento. Old City Kites is one of them, and they are in a very convenient location at Old Sacramento. The store is easy to find, and street parking is available in front of the store. Parking garages are just a couple of blocks away. The store has so many kites and other wind-related items and decorations. Some other souvenirs are also available, but not as many as the other souvenir stores in the area. The kites and other items in Old City Kites are expensive, but please remember they're in the tourist area! Unless you need the owner's help to get something higher up, the store is self-service. You find what you need. Please bring it to the cash register. Pay for it. Simple and easy!”

“It's a hit or miss for all five below in my opinion. .I like coming here because the parking is big and can easily find parking. .The aisles are usually organized well and you must walk around to search things you like. .Usually things are grouped each category. .This time I got lots of plush which I usually resist and won't get if it's not that I want or need. This time I gave in and took them home, they are adorable sushi and nigiri which is really reasonable 5 dollar plush. I just want the whole set to put in the back my car so every time I look in the rear view mirror it will make me smile. Plus who doesn't like sushi. .I also found some cute keychains as gifts for friends as a thought in mind of them. .I love coming to five below and search for gudetama goods. They have a lot too and that section is always my happy place. Hope this review helps and thanks for reading. Have a yelptastic day!”

“Great local bookstore. Had frequented this Barnes and Nobles a number of times over the years, for everything from personal reads for myself to books signings, to personal reads for my children. Large selection of books in a number of adult, teen and children genres. Most recently I was at B&A for a new book for my son. Thought he might be interested in the Science Fiction novels so we made our way over there first, but he said he was more interested in World History and War. So we looked in that area and he found some books of interest but they were some pretty big reads for his age. And I wanted something more easily graspable for him so I asked one of the employees, what section might be best based on his interest. She told me the "Teen Nonfiction" was probably his best bet, but it wasn't a big selection of books. We ended up going through that section and we ended up finding a book, that I thought he'd be interested in, and would be an good read.”

“Stage Nine has to be on your list when visiting Old Sac! I've always loved browsing here since I discovered this store 13 years ago. My favorite has always been the corner where they display all types of Disney-related artwork. On my most recent visit, I noticed they've elevated their offerings - they had so many Disney and Loungefly merchandise! Don't skip out on The Underground Vault! They have the coolest items down there and we even saw commissioned Disney x Sacramento artwork. They had several pieces on sale, but you can spend a good 30 minutes down there just browsing. This store is such a treat for the eyes!”

“Quite a big store. I'm picky, but this place has a good variety of pop culture items from low end to higher end collectibles. Pop versions of card games and of course calendars. Like "Friends" related items.”
